Wear Your Fav Accessory Monday 11/16/2020

Fun! I rarely get dressed these days, but my favorite accessory I can do, and it always puts a smile on my face. It’s a cheap $8 mini tiara that sits perfectly in front of my messy bun on top of my head. DH and I went to LV last Christmas and we are very heavy packers. I was teasing him about packing my (small, tasteful ) tiara from H&Ms wedding and got a look. While he was throwing money away at the tables in the Paris casino I ran across my tiara at a small shop and immediately made her mine. His face when I walked back up to the tables was so worth it. Now I put it on when cleaning or feel like a smile or just to get the look from him when he comes home We are meeting his parents at a campsite later today, I think I am required to wear it, yes? It makes me feel lighthearted, like the smart ass I am, and reminds me of him and our trip!

My real favorite accessories are my James Avery sterling silver jewelry. Mostly earrings or big rings. Nothing fancy, just good quality in styles I love. My favorite piece varies depending on my mood. It’s rare that I leave the house without at least one on. My favorite right now is probably the peacock ring he gave to me during that same trip. I always have at least one orange box from them in my stocking, and last year I was obsessed with peacock decorations for Christmas. I have to admit, this is probably the first piece he has gotten me I didn’t immediately like, but I put it on and fell in love with it. It’s big and silly and makes me smile thinking about how thoughtful he is and how he often knows me better than I know myself. Even special ordered peacock wrapping paper for it! His name is Percy. Percy.
