The doggie!
I am setting a goal of 37,500 steps for the week. AKA an average of 7,500. Then if one day is miserable we can make up for it. Best wishes on your goals this week, everyone.

Travel for me for two days (car), then schedule outdoor boot camp class for Saturday morning. And, the weather will be lovely so I'll be doing my walks on the beach for the foreseeable future. yippee!

Walked about 3.5 miles today--all on our property. We live on 2.5 acres, and I do a few treks around the property several times a day. --with the dog. I don't wear a mask on our property. I walk better without a mask!

Needing inspiration. The busyness of December is trying to pull me away and sucking my energy. I guess I should set goals and be accountable Goals: -1 5km -3 spin classes ✔ ✔ -min. of 1 yoga.

Last night’s group exercise was outside in a lovely 32 degree weather. That’s Fahrenheit. Thank heavens for no wind. Tonight is kickboxing remote from home.

Hi guys! I could most certainly use some encouragement to keep moving. I don't mind the gym once I get there but it seems hard to sacrifice the time. And with Christmas, it's feeling extra hard to keep moving because there is so much other stuff to work on! I am terrible about exercising at home. Covid taught me that I wish I could do a 30 minute routine at home on "off gym" days. The gym costs us extra right now because of restrictions - they aren't truly open, it's a scheduled appointment. My goal this week: gym Monday (done), Thursday, Saturday. Exercise routine at home Wed/Sun? Maybe abs? I don't have a good weight assortment, and my shoulder is messed up so push ups and burpees are out Maybe pull out the old Jilian Michaels routine?

Jillian Michaels has videos on Youtube. I like another gal at NourishMoveLove. I do cycling classes with Kaleigh Cohen Spin or Gabriella Guevara. Fitness Blender is excellent.

Thanks sawwhet. Last night, we were TWO minutes late to get on the computer to book our gym slots, and of course they are GONE in 30 seconds so I missed out on today. So I will have to find something on youtube to get me jumping.

This is the first time I opened this thread. I am not good with making commitments to myself, but I am pretty good about walking and going to the gym as it fits into my life. I just wanted to say that a game changer for me was to listen to audio books as I am walking because I get tired of listening to my music over and over. I even listen to the books as I am working out as well. The thought of getting further in the book is motivation for me to not even think twice about getting outside to walk 4-5 miles at a time.

Hi everyone! I am still hanging in there. At the beginning of the month I made the goal of getting to 300 rides with the Peloton app. I had my one year Peloversary on December 5. I am at 284 right now. I also made the goal of doing 12 barre 3 classes and 12 Peloton strength. However, I am a little behind on those. Last week and this week I had trainings for work from 8:00-12:00 most das which has been really gotten my schedule off track. I normally don't work until later in the morning or early afternoon. So, I haven't been able to exercise when I normally would or help the kids with school. Monday I did yoga in the evening. Tuesday I did 30 min elliptical. Yesterday I went for a walk, 20 min elliptical and upper body. No meeting this morning so I just did 30 min on the elliptical and going to do a lower body strength.

I have a question for those who walk. Do you feel after time that your body has adjusted to the distance you are walking and it isn't as effective anymore and maybe you need to change things up?

I have a question for those who walk. Do you feel after time that your body has adjusted to the distance you are walking and it isn't as effective anymore and maybe you need to change things up? It does take walking more briskly and seeking out hillier streets to get my heart rate up, because my heart is more fit. But if I walk, even at my current distance, I can maintain staying under my weight goal. (I can't get too crazy with calories but I don't have to watch every last bite like when I was trying to get down to the weight goal.) Thanks to back issues I can't take up jogging, and we're not going indoor places like gyms, so walking it is.

I'm so glad I set a weekly step goal instead of daily. Yesterday was cloudy and windy but the other days made up for my low step count yesterday.
Today our walk was to a street within our walking distance that puts on a 12 Days of Christmas display every year. 12 different houses have a display for the days in the song. Like 9 wooden cutout ladies dancing. So good to see a neighborhood working all together to bring a little cheer.
