Has anyone used these? I’m considering grabbing a bundle to start my inks and wanted to know if they were good? If not suggestions? I was also considering Gina K. I’m just looking to stamp for project life cards/scrapbooking

I’m just looking to stamp for project life cards/scrapbooking I LOVE Concord and 9th stamps and have the full set. I have noticed that I wished for more colors so have had to substitute other brands in to accommodate what I need. Im hoping they release more colors at some point. I have 3 sets of Gina K cubes, so not the full set. I like them and have thought about finishing off the set, but noticed so many of the colors are close in color that I decided I didn’t need to. I just added a few cubes here and there to make up what was missing. But one difference is C9 are foam pads and Ginas are felt. I don’t care what I use and haven’t noticed I can’t use any particular stamps with one or the one, but I know others can chime in and give benefits of foam vs felt ink pads. Good luck!

I have the complete set of Concord and 9th coming this week. I wanted to replace my well loved inks (about 15 years old, but still stamp well) and liked starting with a complete set that I can add to as the company grows. I am also going to bulk up my Tim Holtz collection and feel like between the two it will work well for me.

I have the complete set of C&9. I’ve been very happy with them. I’m hopeful they will come out with more colors.
If I were to buy new inks I would seriously consider The Stamp Market.

I'm glad this question was asked. I need some more inks for stamping on journal cards too. I'm looking for darker blues, browns, and grays. I have a bunch of mini ink pads but most are from companies now out of business or discontinued scrapping products; SEI and cat's eye ink pads. SEI is okay and cat's eye seem better for edging papers that small images.
I did buy some Stampin'Up mini ink pads from a yard sale and I've really liked the quality of the pads. They appear to be too dry, but I've had the best crispest images.

To add: I also have the full set of Pink Fresh and those are in foursome's of color palette, so for layering - which I love.

I have the complete set of Gina K full-size ink pads. I LOVE them. I highly recommend them.
If you are into layering stamps, I highly recommend Altenew ink pads. I have all the colors in cubes and they are amazing.

So there's a YouTube video that of course I can't find right now, but the person basically said that most of the stamp pads are made at the same manufacturer but just have different colors. You should choose the color palate that most appeals to you and the ones you know you will use.
That being said, I really like the color palate of the Concord and 9th ink pads and I will probably get the small cube set with my Christmas money from my father in law.

The few I have are random - no plan or set, and I'm rarely happy with my results. I've struggled with stamping so I haven't invested in anything more - still not sure if it's the stamps or the pads. Espresso truffle is one of my favorites-- it's hard to describe (I wouldn't really call it brown but it's not really charcoal, either)-- and I like to use it when I think black will just be too dark. I can make up some swatches and post a photo later if you'd like.

Do you happen to know the channel for the video? Does it cover the different types of ink? Justine Hovey has a few videos that describe different inks. This one is a good one to start with. youtu.be/zVsKx5D4VFwI think this is the video where she says to buy the colors you like since most inks are made by the same manufacturer. youtu.be/volGBL2r-tMI haven't fully watched yet because my nosey 5 year old wants to see what I'm watching instead of doing her school work.

I saw that video - and I think I recall her saying that Felt pads all come from the same place. I think foam ones don't come from there. I can't remember who did it - I will try to remember and post.

All the pads from the smaller companies come from the same place. Even the foam ones. Clearsnap used to make Catherine Pooler's and the Stamp Market's pads but now they use Stewart Superior just like everyone else. Clearsnap no longer makes ink for anyone but Stampin' Up now. Same foam and ink formula as Concord and 9th. She has an oval case but Stewart Superior can do a custom case for anyone. I just think a lot of the companies just use a basic rectangle case for easy storage and it's probably easier to just use that case. Altenew also is from Stewart Superior and their case is a different oval as well. Kind of like the old Palette ink.

Just pick something you like. I ended up grabbing Gina K. I really like the Concord & 9th but I wanted to grab a Set and after looking at them over and over again there were too many pinks for me and a few others I already had too similar colors too. I felt there was a wider diversity with Gina K and I was able to get them at a better deal with discounts.

I got my Concord and 9th ink pad collection yesterday1. So many beautiful colors! I previously had Close to My Heart (over 12 years old and still going strong), so those will be saved for doing card classes/craft time with friends next year. I had purchased a few of the Concord ones a couple of months ago and really liked them. I also got a couple of stamps, so I would have enough spent for Black Friday to get their free grab bag deal - that came with 6x6 paper, 2 stamp sets and 2 matching die sets.

I'm needing a few more bright colors, but mainly wanted them for stamping words and simple images. I don't need as many pinks either.
