We always do this for dinner on New Year's Eve, so that people can basically snack all night long. My "recipes" will be going to Costco first thing that morning and buying a bunch of random frozen and fresh things. Done.

All I did was mix sour cream, cream cheese and taco seasoning (packet). That went on the bottom. Then layer whatever you want--lettuce, onions, olives, shredded cheese and salsa.

YES! Another Pea shared this on their FB page recently and I saved it, and have been dying to try them. One of my go-to appetisers is Antipasti Bites, similar to this recipe: Rachel Ray Antipasti Bites. Mine are a bit smaller, and I usually put feta, sun-dried tomato and basil in each one. They always get gobbled up very quickly.

This week I was thinking about taco dip and wondering what happened to the recipe I use. I haven’t made it in forever!

I also like bacon wrapped jalapeños. I bought them fresh at Sam’s club but realized it’s simple enough to make and less expensive.
Cut jalapeños in half and scoop out the seeds. Fill with cream cheese. Wrap in bacon and cook them.

I usually do a mix of homemade and frozen Trader Joe's apps. I'll usually make rye toast points with herbed cream cheese with sliced cucumber, little smokies wrapped in bacon and sprinkled with brown sugar that caramelizes in the oven and brie en croute with cherry or fig jam and pipne nuts. For the TJs apps I like the spanakopita, french onion bites and mini quiche. But they have so many other good ones too. And then of course a charcuterie is usually included in App meals.

I love appetizers. Here are basics. I am looking forward to seeing people’s specialities.
7 layer dip ( somewhat similar to what Christine58 posted but also with bean dip on the bottom)
Bread dip (that is what we call it. No real name but it is like a dried beef dip but I use fresh (like Budig) beef and served with different bread pieces, pita chips, or whatever you like.
chips and a variety of dips Shrimp stuffed mushrooms deviled Eggs kielbasa slices in BBQ sauce (with maple syrup) jalapeño poppers ( basic cream cheese filled jalapeños wrapped with bacon) bacon wrapped scallops or water chestnuts Cheese and crackers ( love love cheese so all kinds including spreads like alouette or pub cheese) Mini quiche cups crab rangoons or wonton cups corn/bean salsa

We did charcuterie for Christmas Eve So will do apps for NYE. Had considered fondue but will save for another time. Not sure of all the choices yet but for sure...
Baked Brie
Honey garlic meatballs
Veggies and dip
Goat cheese/crackers/fruit
Bacon wrapped cream cheese jalapeños (store bought) Bacon Crustini (basically the wonton filling recipe linked above substitute green onions for the jalapeño peppers, spread on baguette slices and heated in the oven)

Ham and pickled asparagus rollups:
Take 1 slice of boiled ham (the Costco ham that is rectangle shaped works well). Spread cream cheese along one short side. Place 1 (or 2 if really skinny) pickled asparagus spear (from Costco) on top of cream cheese and roll up. Repeat for as many as you want. If you are making a lot of these you might want to pipe the cream cheese on as it is faster.

We make Fritas...fried dough. Hubby makes pizza dough and then we wrap it around sticks of pepperoni, some with mozzarella and some with slices of sausage. You deep fry it and serve with marnina sauce.
Or my favorite is Buffalo crockpot chicken dip.

We love these. I have a bunch in the fridge right now left from Christmas. I like to make a few anytime for lunch - low carb and pretty filling.

One of my most favorite appetizers is the easiest thing ever. Buy a package of frozen phyllo cups and a container of spinach artichoke dip. My grocery store sells it in the deli, and Costco sells a really yummy one, too. Put a little scoop of the dip in each cup and bake for a few minutes.
They are so good, and people go crazy over them. They are good the next day cold, too. Or you can just pop them back in the oven to heat them up.
