Happy Sunday! We had a nice and warm weekend. I did finish that Heidi Swapp pocket album. It was a challenge but I finally several of the pieces done. I want to try it again with my nice paper and I will share it with you all. Also, my upcoming video is so fun. I asked my dh to do a video with me and he did! He was my special assistant in the scrapping tutorial. I will let you know when the video is up. Also, here are two blog post about some of my favorites from 2020. My Top 5 Moments of 2020- K. Simone Designs Link HereMy Top 10 Papercraft Projects of 2020 Link Herejoyfulnana- Yeah, I was surprised we beat the Seahawks. But yesterdays lost was tough. Congrats to your team for advancing. I hope your QB is ok. I was so upset by his concussion. Waving hi to you all and have a good Monday!

kellyr21 that was a bad bad hit he took! I hope he's cleared for next week. I'm sorry your team didn't make it. I'm worried now we will go to the SB against Brady. It' my worst nightmare lol. I guess I still don't trust the Chiefs to not be the Chiefs I've come to know over the past 10 years or so lol. I always expect them to lose lol. It was good to see you ladies in the hangouts this weekend! I've got to remember to add up my points for those. I've let the sharing thread get away from me so I'll be spending time catching up there. I have one LO that needs a date and my LO for next weeks sketch done. Not nearly the high plans I had for January lol. gramma I'm pretty sure you can contact Shutterfly and they will give you a credit for those crappy photos. Whether you would chance using them again is another story though. I usually order one hour through Walgreens, I've had enough photos come from Shutterfly that I couldn't use.

kellyr21 , I left a note for you in the cards thread. That HS class looks like something you will love. How I wish you were here. There are always HS supplies (older stuff) at the Warehouse. I always want to get some for you, but don't know how to choose. I may take a chance and send you some. joyfulnana , congrats on getting on the vaccine list. I am getting mine in an hour!! We couldn't get appts together so Steve gets his on Thurs. I'm sorry your cat is not suited for the cat tree, or that the tree is not suited for her. It was sooo nice to see you on Sat. I planned on getting on a few minutes on Sun, but was on FaceTime with the grands during the time I could get on. Next weekend! gramma , it was great seeing you again online. I love the pages you have just posted! The best descriptive word I can use for your pages is CLASS. Always so classy. Amazing work. I left love in the gallery. I'm sorry you were disappointed with your photos. I am sad that Costco won't be doing them in the store anymore. I have tried Walgreens but don't really like the finish on them. grammadee , I am sorry about your blizzard. We have just had skiffs of snow but wind, wind, wind. More semis blown over, huge trees uprooted. I dread going out to get my shot this morning, but wind won't stop me. It is much worse just north of us. It seems to be coming from the west coast. I wish we were getting some of your snow. We really need the water. Very little moisture here this winter. Linda , I saw that you had posted more layouts in the sharing thread. I will hop on when I get back and comment. Ice on your ramp. I am surprised that it got that cold. Sounds like things are coming along on the new home. I'm glad you have time to do some scrapping. I made some canvases quite a while ago to hang in my scrapbook room. I just never got them hung and they have been sitting for years. Yesterday our oldest DD came over and spent time hanging them and another picture holder for me. We all wore masks the whole time and had such a wonderful visit. I can't believe how much I miss my girls and grands. Will this pandemic ever end? Waving to all the Pokeys! I love coming here to see what's going on in each of your lives.

That storm was a one day thing, nylene. We had a skiff again last night, but not alot. Our weather has been unseasonably warm this winter, although dh says his weather app is promising much colder weather to come. So nice that your dd could come and visit and help with your scrap room decor. Hopefully after you both have your shots you will feel more comfortable visiting with your family. It was good to see you on Saturday evening for a bit on the virtual crop. Don't worry about Sunday: facetiming with the grandkids ALWAYS takes precedence over spending time with us! Glad to see that you and gramma and joyfulnana are getting some pages scrapped. I have most of my Christmas house relegated to the basement, but still need to take down my tree. Was going to do that this morning, but dh went to town for an appointment and since I had the house to myself, I decided to scrap a couple of pages, instead. I am becoming *THAT* person who talks more about what I am planning to do and spends less time actually DOING it. I am excited to get my hair cut tomorrow! Restrictions have been lifted on personal services in Alberta, so my hairdresser can again welcome us, one by one, into her home basement salon. Shots still seem like a long way off b/c shipments of supplies from one manufacturer to Canada have been delayed. Was hoping for February, but I guess only time will tell...

grammadee, I have a haircut appt tomorrow too. It will feel good to have it cut and colored. I hope your vaccines are not long in coming. I need to take down my Village, but I just hate to do it. I really enjoy it. Maybe on Thursday. We arrived at the Health Center and a Nat'l Guardsman directed us to the proper door. He said DH could come in with me which was great because it meant I could go with him on Thurs. When we got inside, we were directed from one desk to another, quickly taking information. One of the last stops was the computer. Because I brought Steve's info along with mine they told him to plan to get his too. So we were both done, waited 15 min. for reactions and were out of there in 40 minutes. I hope things go that smoothly for the 2nd dose.

Happy Wednesday! Waving hi to you all! Dh has been working from home since last Wednesday. The company's computer system got attacked or hacked. So they are still working to get it fixed. Maybe it will be back on track by Friday. I am glad he is able to work from home and get a break from the long commute. nylene- Oh, I wish I could go to the warehouse sales with ya. Yes, I do love American Crafts and Heidi Swapp. SO sweet of you thinking of me. I would love anything! Also, glad you were able to spend some time with your dd. I know, I can't wait for this dang pandemic to be over, too. Geez! grammadee- Girl, you have been scrapping some wonderful pages. Love all the creativity happening from you.

Happy Friday to the Pokeys! kellyr21, wouldn't it be FUN to shop the AC Warehouse!!! I'm so with you there. nylene - love those monkey cards. The pp in the background combined with the dark matting is so very cheerful. Yay you both got your vaccine!!! My 2nd dose is Monday. I was worried...Canada isn't getting as many doses as we expected from Pfizer because they have shut down some of their production in order to install new machinery that will ramp UP production for the world. But fortunately I think they "set aside" our 2nd doses so I'm good. However, the new decision (here) is that they will now solely focus on long-term care and those workers at this time, and stop vaccinating hospital front line workers until more vaccine comes in. Glad I got mine! Today I have to take the dog to the vet, DD has her final physics 12 test at our kitchen table, and then after those things we are driving to another city to meet a dog - a 7 year old corgi who needs a new home as his owner is elderly/ill. I am friends with his daughter, and I offered - as long as my dog gets along with the corgi, I guess we're becoming a 2 dog family. My poor dog: vet and new sibling in one day. That's a lot to handle for her sensitive soul! I am 2 pages of journaling away from finishing my December Daily 2016. I am so pleased. I am incapable of putting a 3x4 card in a pocket and saying "good", it's just not my style. But it makes this project take so much longer than it needs to! I doubt I will post photos - taking photos through those plastic protectors is impossible, and it's many many many pages. It's also likely to be an "easy peasy" points calculation on it!

kitbop and kellyr21, it is really fun to shop the Warehouse. They were moving between locations last Fall when I went in to get some red cardstock for Christmas cards. I picked up some packs of 25 or 50 sheets of the same pattern paper for $3. I thought they would make good cards. When I got to the last aisle, I found the exact same papers marked $1. I asked and was told that any of the 25 or 50 sheets would be a dollar so that they didn't have to move them. I ended up with a huge box of paper for less than $30. I used them for bookmarks for my DD's students at school and for lots of cards. I will be using them for years! They aren't the newest, but at that price, I don't care at all. gramma, you asked on another thread how my tooth was doing. It is worse today than any day since it was done. Of course neither the dentist or Endodontist are in for the weekend, but I did get someone at the office. They are starting me on antibiotics and steroids and will see me on Mon. if it's not considerably better. This has not been a fun month. Thanks for asking. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible online tomorrow. I really enjoy that scrapping time. I have a page I can work on and maybe finish tomorrow.

Happy Friday! We had a good day. DH was still at home but will return to the office on Monday. I think we are both a little happy. LOL! I worked on my new video, cards and some other things today. My arm is slowly improving. I went to the doctor last Monday and she gave me more exercises to try. New video: Ron and I had a ball putting this tutorial video together. He did great and had fun learning about our passion of scrapbooking. This was his first time and maybe he will do another video with me down the road. Link Herenylene- Oh, I wish I could shop with you and the gals. What a great time that would be.

Hi Scrappy Friends! I am glad to hear that some of you are getting your vaccines done. I get my second dose next week. I am still trying to get my parents to take it, they believe it is a chemical tracker... I'm trying to talk some sense into them, they have all kinds of health issues and are over 70, so they really need to get it done. My younger dd, Mallory, finished college last month and started her new job this week. She's a biologist and is working for a company called Covance doing research. She had a really good first week, so that was nice and we are meeting the boy that she's been dating for the first time today. It's really cute, she is super nervous. Of course, Griffin, our 17 year old is already dreaming up ways to embarrass her. He takes his job as annoying little brother pretty seriously. Nylene - have fun at the AC warehouse! I'd probably be broke if I went there, they own most of my favorite brands. Where do I find the online crop thing that you lovelies get on? I am going to be scrapping today, so thought I might drop onto it if I can make it work.

You definitely should join in the fun! msliz will post the link in the op in THIS thread You just need to be logged into Google and click on the link. There are buttons at the bottom to enable your mic and camera, and msliz will get a notification to let you in.
nylene I hope you are getting some relief from that tooth.
kitbop I hope those two dogs can get along with each other. When dd brought the pup home, her older dog wouldn't even look at dd for days: she would even turn her back quite deliberately when she was called. She still seems to feel the pup is a pain, and snaps at the little one if she feels it is out of line. But most of the time she tolerates her, and heaven help the person or dog she determines is a threat to that pup! She is VERY protective.
kellyr21, there is no way dh and I would both survive a session in this scrap room . He sometimes suggests pages I should do or projects I should take on, and if a project involves wood or metal, he will provide those elements. But he and I approach projects from a completely different perspective: I am dreaming about all the wonderful things that could happen IF... And I love moving all the layers around, trying different things on the fly. He starts with a detailed plan which would be in millimeters on a SB page I am sure. And every element on the page would have to be placed P.E.R.F.E.C.T.L.Y. before we could move on. Nope! Not gonna happen!

LOL, grammadee, you just described my attempts at hanging my canvases with DH last week. It was nice having DD help me the next day. I will probably just get on the Hangouts this afternoon for a few minutes. My mouth is really miserable. I'm on the new antibiotics and steroids and lots of aspirin, but it is so uncomfortable. I'm hoping that by afternoon I will have enough meds in my system that I can sit and scrap for a little while. kellyr21, I am going to go check out your newest video. I'm glad you had fun making it with Ron.

Hoping that tooth is giving you some relief, nylene. It hurts just thinking about it... Missed last night's hangout, but enjoyed spending a bit of time with joyfulnana, msliz, gramma, justjac, and some other Peas this afternoon. And two more pages completed to meet my Frozen til Fifty challenge. Have a couple of other page kits with Christmas photos in them, and hoping to complete those this week. Then I can start stowing away my Christmas scrap trove. Planning is well underway for the 28-4-28 challenges in February (28 challenges for 28 days). Hoping the Pokeys have a chance to play along with some--or all of them! I have posted the signup thread for February Teams b/c if you are going to be scrappin' you may as well be playing along with a team!

Grammadee - Thanks for the virtual crop info. We had Mallory's new bf over for dinner on Saturday, so I couldn't play, but I found it now and will play in the future.
Nylene - I hate that your mouth is still hurting. Having your mouth be in pain just makes you feel plain awful. I hope it heals up soon and that you get to feeling better.
Real winter seems to be finally arriving in Indiana. We had snow and ice yesterday and it's gotten a lot colder. Thankfully, I didn't have to go far yesterday, I work really close to my house.
I'm going to my friends retreat house for the weekend to crop and my oldest dd, Olivia, is going with me. I've been crafting with this same small group of ladies for years and have kept meeting every other month during the pandemic. It has helped keep me sane. We are always very spread out in a large space, so it has been fine thus far. I'm taking Friday off work and will be there until Sunday, so I should get lots of happy pages done. I do need to gather photos up from the kids' phones so I have some new stuff to scrap. I'm pretty much done with this year's Christmas photos, so I'll be moving on to something else. I need to finish up my last couple of months of 2020 in my Project Life album and then I can be done with that too. I'll probably try to knock those out this weekend.
I hope you all have a nice day today!

Here is the layout I worked on at the Online crop on Sat. Little Artist Thanks for your concern about my mouth. I had chills and fever on Sat nite, Sun and Sun nite. I slept constantly but the antibiotics and steroids kicked in and I am improving each day. The Endodontist said I must have had a big infection. I have postponed the crown preparation until it all tames down. I feel much better about it all today.

That little Swayzie is just too cute for words! Awesome page, nylene. Glad your mouth is feeling better. I am making birthday cards today. One done and two in progress. After a bit of a glitch, plans are going well for dh's 75th birthday tomorrow. Yesterday, I had arranged for the local bakery to have ready 75 cupcakes to give out to people tomorrow. They said they would put it on their fb page, which they did, but the message said for TODAY... A friend called me early this morning to let me know, so I quickly called the bakery, and I see that their notice has now been corrected. I also emailed his favourite radio station to ask them to do a greeting on air in the morning. Tomorrow I need to go in, pick up a bakery cake, pay the bakery for it and the cupcakes, and pick up some candles. I will be setting up a Google Meet for family to join in for a chat after supper. Hoping he enjoys all the attention and having the dgk's blowing out candles and singing happy birthday!

Good Morning ladies! nylene I'm glad to hear your tooth is giving you a little less trouble. Swayze is growing up so fast! I would love shopping at the AC or EP warehouses, but my wallet and my overflowing stash is glad I can't lol. How is the house coming Linda? kellyr21 I loved your video with Ron. Loved watching him distress those trees for you. And that layout is gorgeous but not as hard as it looked, I could actually lift it! Well the Chiefs have run it back, and I have to say I'm not thrilled we are facing Brady in the SB. I was so happy we was in the NFC lol. I never would have thought they would be in the SB looking at how rocky things were for Tampa in the beginning. Maybe we will win and put that demon to rest. I keep waiting for this team to be the old Chiefs that lose - that's my comfort level lol. I'm glad they keep proving me wrong lol. I've been working, working, working. Covid hasn't let go of the RV industry yet. In fact I found out last week that one of my favorite parts managers died a few months ago. I've met him at shows, and we have been chatting for 10 years. I'm trying to be grateful about job security and OT. I'm going to put the OT toward a Macbook. I've been wanting one for awhile and if I'm going to work this hard there should be a reward lol. shinyhappytina there are crops Saturday and Sunday, just watch for the threads. I hope you can join in! The time went so fast on Sunday! I have stacks of in progress pages, and plans for more so I'm hoping for a productive year! I finished a page Sunday that I still need to get posted. It's been snowy and overcast here so not the best light. kitbop how are the dogs getting along? Hope everyone is having a great week!

Here's wishing grammadee husband a happy 75th. It sounds like such fun to give out cupcakes to others on his b-day. I hope your Zoom get-together goes well tonight. Linda, congrats on getting to the point that you can begin moving in. It will be a lot of work, but I'm sure you are anxious to get started. How are things going with DS and his move? shinyhappytina, I hope you have fun with DD and friends scrapping together. I long for the day when we can get together as a Card Club again. It has now been a 1 year hiatus. Our "hostess" is 80 and very much protected by her family. I'm afraid it may be most of this year too before we can resume. joyfulnana, I look forward to Sat for the online crop. I don't know what I will work on, but I will find something. How's the kitty doing? kitbop, how are the dogs doing together? Is this going to work out. kellyr21, have you started making Valentines? I always love your Valentine cards/albums. I haven't really looked for pink and red paper yet. I'm still trying to get my Christmas pages finished. LOL Have a great day, everyone.

Well, the birthday is over, and I am feeling almost as wired as if we had hosted everyone here in this house!
The cupcake give away at the local bakery was a great success for a couple of reasons. I dropped in at 3:00PM, and there were just 3 of the 75 cupcakes left, so lots of people dropped in. Also, they announced it on Facebook, so people started jumping on to leave greetings. A couple of our kids posted some pic's of Grampa and some nice comments about him, and those posts got even more comments. The baker's wife screen shotted a bunch of the replies, she got, and then ds sent a couple more screen shots of greetings in response to his post. Dh had no idea it was going to happen, and couldn't understand why so many people were texting him so early in the morning to wish him happy birthday!
Our Google Meet was hectic, with people talking over each other and kids giggling and some distracting echoes, but we ended up with 20 family members on at once, from six different homes in two provinces, plus one ds at an airport, and our dsil who got up at 4:00AM overseas to take part, four birthday cakes and one doughnut with lit candles.
The hardest part was getting dh's ipad to talk to Google, and then getting the code out to everyone (Had to retype the codes into the group message b/c I couldn't seem to copy & paste, and then my iphone kept trying to correct the 3 letter codes, so it took 3 tries) But I have to say the teen dgk's were impressed that I was able to pull it off!
One household was having connection issues, but they were able to FaceTime afterward, And one ddil had to work late, but she texted later, so we got to communicate with everyone. During the Google Meet, people were texting me screenshots, so I have tons of photos. Not stellar photos, but they really captured the hour. Will have to figure out how to print them at 2x3". Lots of birthday scrapping in my future...

nylene - I may have spoken too soon. Electricians were there ALL day today - put up 5 light fixtures and 2 fans inside, fixed the mounting for 2 more fans, put up exterior lights, grounded outlets, fixed a 3-way switch, installed GFCI, and moved the circuit breaker box (actually flipped it around so it was on the hallway wall (in code) vs inside our closet (out of code now but in code when built). BUT late in the afternoon 6 light bulbs blew simultaneously and the living room light stopped working and the utility room light started flashing. They called in the senior electrician but he's coming back in the morning. Cleaners are coming Saturday and will be back on Sunday to clean the carpets. So we can move boxes into the garage but need to wait until the carpets are dry to move anything inside. Might be able to move some stuff into the kitchen/utility room/bathrooms and storage spaces though - we'll see. grammadee- what a wonderful birthday surprise for your DH! Sounds like a fabulous day.

Happy Friday! Hope you all are having a good day. Yesterday, we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. Originally, I wanted to have a renewing of our vows party but we will do something like that maybe next year. So we made some arrangements and had a terrific night last night. I ordered our dinner from Cheesecake Factory and a small wedding cake from the grocery store. The food was so good and the cake was delicious! I requested the same filling in the cake as we had from our wedding cake. We danced, laughed, reflected and I cried a few happy tears. Oh, he bought me a bouquet of red roses and some chocolates. So we will continue our celebration all weekend. We hope to drive down to our reception site tomorrow. It has been raining so if it stops we will go down there. I also am working on a few new papercrafts and a new video. So glad you all enjoyed Ron's video debut!!! I hope to get him to do another video down the road. : joyfulnana- Congrats on your Chiefs going to the Superbowl!!! We are excited and hope they win again. nylene- Yes, I am working on some Valentine projects. Not sure how they will true out but I am having fun trying some new things. I hope you are feeling better. Take it easy. grammadee- What an awesome birthday you planned for your dh!!!! I wish I could of got one of those cupcakes. Congrats to him and so glad he enjoyed himself.

Linda, I am sorry for the electrical problems. I am just glad they happened before moving in. Old electrical systems can be scary. I know, my home is almost 50 years old. I hope things slide along nicely now. Is your DS in his home now? kellyr21, your anniversary sounds wonderful, particularly for a Covid year anniversary. I'm glad you had a nice time together. I hope your rain stops and you can keep celebrating. grammadee, your 75th for DH sounds delightful. (except for the internet/ipad issues). What a wonderful idea to share cupcakes with your friends. That gives me ideas for DH's next b-day. It would have to be just neighborhood because our city is huge, but it would be fun to share cupcakes! I'm sure you were exhausted when it was all over. As much as I hated to do it, I took my village down today. I love Christmas decorations and always hate to see them go. I still have a few things left to do, but it will all be gone tomorrow. I hope to hop on to the Online Crop tomorrow. I did the grocery shopping today and will finish the laundry tonight so I can spend more time scrapping with "the girls" as DH calls you all.

nylene - electrician was there all day today and is coming back Wednesday to finish up. He's also going to have the electric company out to make sure one of the issues isn't on their end. DS isn't moved in yet either -he's been in class all week in addition to his other duties so busy. kellyr21 Happy Anniversary!

Oh, Linda, I hope the electrical problems will be resolved quickly and you get your new home all cleaned and ready to move in. So good that you didn't have to vacate your current home this weekend. Dd & family had to have the moving company store their stuff and the family had to spend a month in a tent when their home sold before they could begin their actual move. kellyr21, your anniversary weekend sounds wonderful and romantic. Hope you get some nice weekend weather so you can do the things you want to do. Sad to see all the pretties stored away, isn't it, nylene. I often think of @elaynef and her pretty seasonal displays. But somehow I have not ever done that. When the tree went downstairs, I opened up a card table that usually acts as an accent table against the wall, and I now have a jigsaw puzzle set up on it where the tree used to be. Doesn't look so empty. I now need to start getting my Christmas scrapping supplies organized and put away. Maybe I will spend time doing that during the virtual crop on Sunday.

Happy Friday/Saturday! Thanks for all the anniversary well wishes, too! We are having a great time and hope to enjoy the weekend! Here is my new video, "My Top 5 Craft Products of 2020". Link HereI shared each item and pictures of how I used them. I think last year was my most creative year in a while and I had fun playing with all these goodies.

Happy belated anniversary kellyr21!!Your weekend sounds so romantic. It's weird, I'm not nearly as excited about this Super Bowl as I was last year. Rona has stolen the joy from everything. grammadee what a wonderful birthday for DH! And happy belated bday to him as well! That just sounds like a day of fun all day long. Linda I hope they get all the electric figured out so you can move, but better now than after you were in. Did DS get closed on his house? I must have missed that somewhere. nylene I'm so ready for things to get back to normal too. I think you're right, it's going to take most of this year to get where we need to be. Do you know when you and DH will get your vaccines? I had high hopes to be in both crops this weekend, but I let other things get in the way. Tonight I'm planning pages and printing pictures for next weekend. I know I'll be at the Sunday crop since I'm hosting lol. Abby is really settling in and I can tell she is trusting me more every day. She's losing weight and is more active too. I did meet the challenge of cleaning my fridge yesterday so there's that, and points for it too!
