lostwithout2peas - Glad your trip was a success! Many of these items were received in previous months (check the date code in the upper right corner of the price tag) & discussed in corresponding monthly threads here if you want to take a peek. Note the $14.99 EP Solids Pad is priced at MSRP/not discounted. Mega Sticker Packs, each containing 10 sticker sheets from various EP/CB collections, are/were also available for $14.99/ea in the same themes as the Solids Pads (eg boy, girl, outdoors, winter, summer). Hope you enjoy your haul! Hmm, that's odd, cause my friend and I have been in to these stores since the date on the sticker, 1/21, and these where definitely not out there cause we would have grabbed them for us. The echo park packs aren't sticker packs, the are mega bundle paper packs with "extras" in it like solid papers, and ephemera cut outs along with double sheets of paper and the regular sticker sheet. Anywho, I don't know if my stores are getting things late, or are not putting them out on time, or possibly saved them for this month cause it's craft month? Who knows? Cause usually the good stuff doesn't sit too long and is snapped up right away. I did just watch a YouTube video by Ohdonna she did last week and she is showing the MME kits that I got as well. So those are fairly new. Sometimes the dates on the stickers aren't exact. I often will see crafts labeled for the next month come out early, but rarely see them in the cart come out with the previous month's date. Who knows though. With them closing a warehouse, things could have been shoved around and forgotten for a bit. I bought two of the Mega packs that were the paper line, sticker sheet, extra cardstock and punch outs. I can't remember what the sticker bundles were called offhand.

I posted to both TM's IG and their FB page and received replies that they were not planning to remove crafts. Maybe they're pulling crafts where it doesn't sell well so they can send more stock to other stores? IDK...they could be flat out lying for all I know. Possibly. Or they could be waiting to see if in the areas where they remove crafts, what happens to their overall sales. That would be a smarter move. When I go in to look for crafts, I often buy other things, too. I had intended to stop in last Thursday to see if they had any of the 25 sheet packs (all same design) that I like. Have the 25 sheet packs all been wiped out or do they still have some with versatile designs, such as plaids, florals, etc.? (NOT curling!)

The store that was mentioned (where the employee said they were getting rid of all crafts) used to be in the top 10% of crafts sales, so I don't think low sales are the reason. I do know that store has a rash of new employees and maybe one of them misheard or got some bad info. I'll have to ask the manager when I see her next.
My stores have both received 25 pack sheets of Bazzill in the last few weeks. They also still have most of their Karen Foster papers (haven't checked in the curling pack lately!)

I go specifically for them. I may buy something else in another area less than once per year. Haha.

I got a nice little haul when I stopped by today. This is the first time I've bought more than 1 thing in ages.
I picked up the Just Plane Fun by Fancy Pants which came with 6 sheets of paper, ephemera pack, puffy dots, and a tags and label pack for $6.99. Also-3 pack of AC permanent markers in white. (I've had these before and can't remember if I liked them or not, probably not as I hate most white pens)$3.99 AC 10 felt markers in rainbow colors $4.99 Vicki Boutin warm inkpad in 6 colors for $7.99
They did have packs with 6x6 MME, 6 sticker sheets and ephemera pack that I was tempted, but none of the 3 different paper pads I saw were something I'd be using so I passed.
Lots of Bazzil, but I rarely use the colors I saw so I passed. Still pretty limited selection, but happy to see some variety.

Saw this link posted on FB. It is what one woman found out at her store. It sounds like what the manager at one of my stores told me. Basically they are downsizing the craft area and grouping things together so they can do away with the $1.99 items in place of more expensive prices. She also gives the address of corporate and asks that people write (no email) and tell them what they think. Basically if the craft area diminishes, people won't go into the store anymore. Maybe those of us here could do a little write in campaign. Since we are all coming from different states, it might help. www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-cldnfgMKQ

My store's manager was at the register when I went in this week. Asked her straight up what was going on. They are being scheduled to reduce crafts by 12% a month. Now, idk if that is 100% - 12%, 88% - 12% and so on or each month is a fresh 100% - 12% but she said specific stuff won't be stocked any longer but isn't knowledgeable about crafts to know what those items are. I think AC is one...the only AC stuff they seem to get now is bazzill and wrmk. AC is a big company...the largest scrapbooking company there is (I think), so I speculated to her that TM isn't worth the time, cost and effort to bundle since that's their direction now. She agreed that that was a fair assumption as they definitely won't be dropping bundles from their business model. So even if they keep crafts, they probably won't see much of my money and I will start checking in less and less because bundles and 50% to 100% price increases are basically telling me they don't want my money. Sucks but nothing I can do about it.

Two full carts. There were two paper packs of travel with the 6 x 8, ephemera, and 6 sticker sheets for $11.99 and two Hero sets of stamps. One was a llama and the other a mountain lion. The rest was plastic storage, office desk pieces, canvasses, paints and crochet needles. It was not good for scrapbooking. I left empty-handed and went to the Dollar Store.

Well, the only thing in my store this week that was exciting was coloradocropper! I almost bought the only new paper I saw. The Photoplay Easter line. I decided I really had enough Easter to last me for the next 20 years.

I ran into Tuesday Morning on Saturday and there was nothing new, and what’s worse... no Thickers. I used to love buying Thickers for $1.99 or $2.49 per pack but I haven’t seen Thickers there in quite awhile.

I stopped in the TM in Tallahassee last week and found a couple of the Journal Studio travelers notebooks.....$7.99. Always my favorite find for that price.
Also picked up small AC scissors, WeR tweezers, AC ampersand push pins, and a pack of bazzill that I didn’t notice was that pearly stuff until later....I didn’t make the effort to return it, so I’ll use the other side, I guess.

They had both the male and female phrases and letters. They also carried the Shimelle Thickers for Sparkle City, Never Grow Up, Field Trip, Head in the Clouds. I also found some Jen Hadfield lines there too. Several of the employees at both of my TMs said that the buyers were now going with different craft companies. I know Thickers is AC, but they are still getting paper from AC now and then.

You could always count on finding them at TM. I wonder why they stopped carrying them. TM stopped selling things (at least in crafts) under $4.99 last year...although I think it's changed some since I have seen things at $3.99 recently. They've also changed to bundling again, something they hadn't done in several years. AC took part in bundling then, but they were smaller then. This was around the time when there were releases just under the AC umbrella, Amy Tangerine's very first collection, etc.
I've seen almost no AC come through (other than tools from WRMK and cardstock from Bazzill) in a while now. When AC bundled for TM, their warehouse store wasn't open year round the way it's been for the last 5 or so years (save for a year or so where they closed up shop), they were only open 3-4 months out of the year. AC also hadn't bought up all of the brands that they now own, which means they likely weren't 'too big' to do the bundling that TM preferred. AC is now (I think) the largest scrapbooking brand/manufacturer that exists, so I wouldn't be shocked if they felt that bundling to sell at TM was just too inconvenient for them.
I'm looking forward to taking a trip to Utah so I can shop the warehouse store. I'm REALLY hoping things like ephemera are for sale there now. They hadn't been in the past, but with those products no longer going to TM, maybe they'll have enough left to stock there. I'm going stir crazy and don't even care if I make the 6hr drive and only spend $5...I just need an excuse to go somewhere!

I went yesterday after not going for a few weeks (so unlike me). I thought they wouldn't be getting shipments since previous years shipments stop for a few weeks over the holidays. My store got a bunch of yarn, more of the Kingsmith Kingfisher (?) art products. They also got some new Simple Stories clear stamp sets and even more Echo Park cardstock. I spent a good 30 minutes organizing all of the paper. Apparently just getting out the house was what I needed. I came home with a 6 x 8 paper pad of Simple Stories Easter as well as a pack of ephemera and brads to match. Then I wandered on over to the Dollar Tree and bought 15 packs of the cheap plastic cutting boards so I can label two more shelves of my papers. wow you found some awesome stuff now I need to find some time to go there thanks for sharing!

Most weeks I go home empty handed. I have spent more online recently. It is more expensive, but it is safer and I always get what I am looking for.

Sometimes it is just the journey! Haha. If the drive was 3 hours each way, I would have gone a dozen times this last year.

Sad months for scrapbookers.

I went to the 2 in my city last Saturday. It’s the first time I’d been in the one located across town since early last year. This store, compared to the one closer to me, used to have a larger craft section with a bigger variety and a much more interesting selection. I was totally shocked to go into that store Saturday and see that they had less than maybe 6 feet of craft/sewing/knitting items total! It wasn’t that the shelves were bare, but that the space allotment for crafting was gone. It was replaced with an expansion of home decor items. I came out empty-handed.
I also went to the store there is a few miles from me. Product is still pretty scarce and I found nothing of interest. I did however, buy a dog bed.LOL
I doubt I will go back to the store across town unless I need to go to Joann’s that is in the same shopping center.
Hobby Lobby it’s supposed to be opening a new store in the same general area as the Tuesday Morning on my end of town sometime this year. I rarely go to Hobby Lobby but I have read that they put scrapbooking items on clearance from time to time so it may be worth going there to check it out from time to time.

I buy tons of dog items from my TM. Just got poop bags today from them. I also found a pack of Simple Stories travel paper that I love. Need to travel now. Hobby Lobby usually has two big clearance months. They are in February and I believe August. We have three HLs in town and they don't all get clearanced the same day or even week, but within a few weeks of each other. Those clearances are 75% off and yes, they are amazing. In February they clearance out most of their Thickers and replaced them with Paper Studio alphabets. They also had many die sets on clearance.

Haven't been there in about 2 weeks so this is a delayed update. Sad state of affairs with about one item on every peg. But, at least the area hasn't been taken over by home goods--the store is plenty full but appears to be hopeful more crafts will come in to restock. I can happily report they did have 25 sheets of KF curling paper though! As well as few other packs from the KF specialty hobby collection--how about 25 sheets of images of paint rollers?

Simple Stories showed up at my store this week. A LOT of Say Cheese 4 including the snap cards, a makeshift collection pack (it isn't the usual collection kit) with the usual +2 embellies, embellies packs, stamp sets, 6x8 pad etc. They also had a farmhouse summer collection pack and the loose accessories included the snap cards and stamp. Lastly, they had boy and girl birthday lines with extras that included stamps, foam stickers (these were only $1 less than full retail so I gave them a very hard pass) and some embellies packs.
The stamps excited me the most so I'm glad I went in. I saw a random post using the hashtag for TM that I follow a few days ago and it was just one lone stamp set...if not for that, I probably would have not made going in a priority (I didn't go in at all last week, which is the first time since they were closed during shutdowns last year that I hadn't gone...I just got tired of walking out disappointed). I didn't care for the stamp set featured in the post, but figured where there's one there may be more and I was right...oddly enough, though, I found 3 stamp sets for the say cheese line and didn't find the stamp set featured in the IG post. One of the say cheese stamps is my absolute favorite find of everything. It is called 'magic'. Some of the stamp sets from the last SS stuff that TM got had dies I was able to source elsewhere for a really good price, but the ones for the say cheese line are still very much full price (one of them being $35!!!!). I really wish I had been able to find someone clearancing out the Magic dies for a good price...not willing to pay $18+ for them.

I went into TM late yesterday (I had to do another errand and TM was literally right there) and it was awful. This is Roseville, MN. According to the cashier, it used to be one of the largest craft areas, now just 1/2 of an aisle. There were a few KF packs of paper, one SS Say Cheese pack, a few SS other packs, an odd MME pack with a 6x6, some washi and other stickers bundled together for 14.99...and an alpha die set from Momento that was expensive (forget what it was now) and kind of ugly font. mikklynn , not sure if you are out and about yet, (can't remember if you said you go here occasionally or not) but you are not missing anything at this store, I promise you. I did not buy a thing.

I like the store on 55 in Plymouth, but haven't been there in over a year. I hate that they sell re-prints of old collection. The colors are just off. I do like to score Thickers there, lol. I'd rather make the drive and spend my money at Crafts Direct in St. Cloud.

Craft aisles in stores here were reduced this week. Crafts, which previously occupied both sides of an aisle at one local store, are now found on only one side. At another location, crafts shrunk from an entire side to about 1/3 of an aisle & relocated toward the back of the store.
Noticably new items at the 3 stores I visited yesterday & last week are a handful of die sets (Sizzix, Momenta), a couple of My Mind's Eye bundles (including 12x12 double-sided papers & sticker sheet, 6x6 paper pad, embellishment pack, & stamp set) for $14.99/ea, & a bunch of Simple Stories items:
- Say Cheese 4 paper pad ($9.99/ea) - Bundles of collection kits (ie 12 double-sided papers & a sticker sheet) plus 1-2 extra embellishment packs ($11.99/ea) - Bundles of 3 embellishment packs ($6.99/ea) - Foam stickers ($3.99/ea) - Bundles of 2 sticker sets ($5.99/ea) - Polypolmer stamp sets ($6.99/ea)
