Ok let me get this straight as this is the first year I have ever done challenges. I need to complete the challenges on the word document that gramdee made and enter those into an excel document for my team to get points. I also need to post pictures of the completed challenge pages somewhere. Is it a new layout for every challenge or can some layouts count for more than one? How do most people do this? Do they scrap according to the challenge or do they scrap what they want and then find a challenge that fits their layouts? When people post their layouts do they post them in multiple spots according to the challenge requirements it meets, or just post them one place and list the challenges it fulfills?

Hey thwarth. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Will try to answer your questions below: Becoming familiar with the challenges: you can print off the printable list to get a summary of most of the challenges. There are some of the "regular challenges" you may have to look at separately in their own threads. Meeting challenges: 1. You can meet any of the challenges as often as you want. For example, every card or page you create may use the same product--for example sequins--and you can count points for them on every one of them. 2. You can used any number of challenges on any one project to pile on the points. If one item on your page meets more than one challenge, then you're free to count it for each of them. 3. For a complicated challenge, like a recipe, or a specific challenge like a Sketchy Saturday sketch, I start with the challenge. BUT for the rest of the challenges, I tend to just scrap my pages and add up the points later. I DO find that after I have added points a few times I tend to remember, "Oh yeah, I need [snowflakes] on this..." Keeping track of points: if the spreadsheet helps you, then download it onto your own computer and let it calculate the total points for you as you enter the challenges you have met. Posting your pages: To earn a point for sharing, you need to post at least once. So if you have posted on the Donna Challenge b/c you created a page about HOPE, or created a page and shared it for a Sketchy Saturday challenge, then you don't need to share it anywhere else. The "best" place to share is in the Sharing & Commenting thread on the GB board. Again, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Hoping this helps. If you need more clarification, just holler!

When people post their layouts do they post them in multiple spots according to the challenge requirements it meets, or just post them one place and list the challenges it fulfills? That sounds like too much work thwarth There are far fewer rules than that! You get 1 point/project completed. Even if you don't use any challenges, or share it. If it's a double page spread, 2 points. There is NO RULE to list the challenges you fulfil, or provide a record of how you counted points. At the end of the month you'll give a points total to your team leader and nobody will check up on it. However you want to count points is up to you. I barely get my own points tallied, let alone recheck anybody elses There is NO RULE to share layouts if you don't want to. We REALLY want to see them tho - this is the "sharing" thread here SHARING THREAD. If you share, you get an extra point. You don't have to put them in extra spots. You can either use the challenges as inspiration and pick some to start a layout with, or you can just create a layout and go back and check off which challenges you happened to fulfil. That's what I do most of the time. Although there may be recipe challenges. Or it might be a good month to put (for example) stars on every layout if they'll get you points. You can use the challenges as many times as you want, and as many challenges on every project as you can! Most people get a LOT OF POINTS for every project they complete. OR you can use the challenges as inspiration, and then simply claim 20 points/layout as per the "EASY PEASY" points method. some peas love adding up individual points. Some don't. We're really just a community of crafters trying to inspire/support each other to create every month. And a lot of us find that the ephemeral idea of "points" and "teams" gives us an extra push to create stuff. I hope you find the same!
