Tell me something good. It could be anything. Good news, good story, anything but politics or COVID.
My good is I made my Amazon returns at Kohl's yesterday and it was really easy. They had a separate area and were very efficient.

I made pecan cinnamon muffins this morning and my house smells amazing. Waiting very impatiently for them to cool so I can have one, or maybe two. Also, DS started his job last week and it is going very good so far. Even before he started they increased the starting wage by $2/hour so he is very happy with that. Nothing like getting a raise and not even working a day yet. One more thing - DS got his worker's comp settlement. Now we totally expect Amazon deliveries to start in 2-3 days.

A cute story for you. My DS and DDiL took my almost 2 YO granddaughter to the zoo last week. She has a grat. time, refused to sit in the stroller, chatted to everyone but the best was that when she saw the tiger, she called out ‘Hi Kitty’ and ran over to they to hug it. Thankfully, zoo has decent barriers!

My toeless heel socks are arriving today! I did not know until I watched Mr Mayor that I too, have podiatric claustrophia! They said that and DH said, "That's YOU!"
I did my hair and make up this morning and actually have pants on today. I had a cheeseburger for breakfast and I have no shame.

It's PUPPY DAY in our household. We're adopting a puppy from our local animal shelter! Her name is Daphne (subject to change), and she is an adorable 5 month old speckled heeler mix with big pointy ears and a patch over her right eye. I am so excited! I'd share pictures, but she was so wiggly at the shelter that I couldn't get a good picture. ETA Pictures Here: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/116934/puppy-day

I had a friend I haven’t known very long call me last night and be super super supportive about something going on in my life. I had had a bad day and this just made my day. She was so nice and encouraging.

I am on vacation this week and I have just been putzing around my house doing crafts. I had planned to paint but my inspiration tapestry for my meditation space hasn't arrived so I have narrow it down but haven't selected a color. And I'm not complaining about that. Its been kind of nice not to do it this week and just fool around.

How am I going to keep her calm so she doesn't rip out her spay incision? Do I need to buy a bigger couch? Will she cry all night in her crate? ETC. LOL. I'm sure it's a function of all the other anxieties that are going on right now because I'm usually not an anxious person, but I was waking up with puppy panic all night last night.

My news is puppy related. Well not a NEW puppy but I ordered this big honkin' calm, comfort bed. My ODS got one for his pup. He didn't say that the doggy daycare was selling it as such. I got a notice on FB and thought it looked just like Faye's. My 2 youngest dogs loved it when we visited. So today it arrives! I am hoping my oldest pup, who has the hardest time getting on the couch now, will adopt it as hers.

I’m sure it will go well! You’re lucky you have experience. I’ve only ever had cats. I’m almost finished my 3rd puppy book and I have a few friends I can draw on for knowledge. I have a trainer hooked up to come in the first week and I’ve signed up for puppy classes. I’m sure you’ll have a great experience! My friend’s dog was just neutered and they put old underwear on him to keep him away from his incision. Maybe an old t-shirt will help her stay away from her incision. Good luck!

Love hearing happy news!
My little bit of happiness is that yesterday I ordered a cordless drill & cleaning brushes, and they should be delivered by this weekend. I am actually excited to clean the tub.
I'm really hoping that it's a game changer, and I can keep the tub & grout clean without exhausting myself.

Oooh, good idea about the clothes. I bought a pair of doggy pjs for my 12yo heeler mix, but she's a fatty, so she looked like a very uncomfortable stuffed sausage. I bet they'll fit the new puppy though! Sounds like you've got an excellent plan in place for your new puppy - can't wait to see pictures!

The sun is out and shining! Finally! It’s been overcast, foggy, gloomy, grey and dreary for over a week.
I see sun and blue skies.

DS saw the dentist yesterday. She told him his teeth were the best she'd ever seen them.
This is the kid who screams bloody murder when they turn the light on sitting in the dentists chair. He goes in 4x per year for cleanings as he just gets more plaque than others (he takes after his mother that way) and we've been steadily working on having positive experiences, without medicating him to be able to let her get the work done. He was so proud of himself when she told him that, and honestly I was too.
Of course next step is braces which just hurt no matter what they do. For now though, I'm happy with the fact that he had a positive visit and we're setting him up to not be afraid of the dentist the way his mother is!
