We adopted a puppy today. This is Daphne! Best we can tell she's part heeler part Tasmanian devil. Pretty sure she was a Christmas present that someone got tired of already . She's fitting in great with our other 2 dogs so far, the only challenge is keeping her "calm" since she was spayed yesterday, but she has a crate full of toys, so we're hopeful...

She is adorable! What a sweet face. She looks like a smart girl. Combined with high energy, sounds like it's gonna be a lively time in your house .

Herding breeds are just the best. And by best I mean smart, manipulative, and HIGH energy. As they age, they are the best family members too.
My youngest corgi turned three in November. She was supposed to be a good dog when she turned two. I started taking her for 60-90 minute walks in November and that was when I saw her finally mature. She is still smart and manipulative, but she uses most of her powers for good and not evil.

Aaaaghgggggh! Heeler puppies are the cutest. I don't think she's a mix, though. She looks 100% baby velociraptor to me. Have fun!

What a cutie! How big will she get? We really have no idea. She's 17lbs and very gawky and lanky. She's 5 months old, and she has tiny feet, so I don't look for her to grow too big. I'm guessing she'll fill out to maybe 25-30 lbs.

We have a 12yo heeler mix that embodies everything you said! As a matter of fact, she was so bent out of shape over Daphne getting to wear a leash/harness that she manipulated me into taking her for a walk in the freezing wind this afternoon.

This doggy mom approves!!! She is precious! We have a Catahoula/husky mix and another herder mix. Our oldest at 13 still tries to herder us.
Our oldest is deaf. The Catahoula runs to her every morning when it's time to go out.

We walk every day. Every day. Even when the snow is up to our poop hole. To be fair though, that isn't saying much for a corgi.
