It's so nice to be able to listen to your president again. Using sentences. And many words. It seems like a small thing, but it's been a long 4 years. In my house, it's kinda a joke- being a Trump supporter is the end all of insults so my kids are always fighting over who loves Trump more. I was just crying watching the Inauguration and my five year old snuck up behind me, hugged me, and whispered "Are you crying because you are going to miss Donald Trump so much?" Can't any moment be sacred, I have raised jerks.  Anyway, I am very happy for America today, and have hope <3 |

The current speaker, beautiful young woman, why does she look so familiar? I feel like I saw a video of her on social media doing a poetry jam kind of thing? Regardless, I love her bright yellow coat and her speech. Poem?
ETA I got my answer from others. I took too long to type as I was listening to her. Beautiful!

Apparently not, the announcer I am listening too said Pence hasn't owned any property for several years...I assume they fact checked that before announcing it on TV. Pence and Mother lived in Indiana and I believe I read that is where they are eventually going back to. They’ll be here tonight-the newspaper reported that it’s a closed event. I’m like 15 miles from that airport they’ll be landing at. They haven’t released any long term plans. |

Amanda might have sealed it for me. Her stepping-out-of-the-flame metaphor at the end of the poem so boldly carried through her fashion choice with the bright yellow coat, the bright red headband, the vertical silhouette right up to the hair, the glimmering golden pearls and makeup. Absolutely enchanting and empowering.

I am no longer a believer but I love how there is a religious component of the ceremony not just as just a prop or something to appeal to the evangelicals. PRESIDENT Biden actually does believe.
