Very infrequently. Last time I went to a mall was in the fall of 2018 to buy furniture from Macy's.

Couple times a week 😉 In our teeny tiny town the grocery store, flower shop, liquor store and insurance place are in "the mall" not a strip mall an indoor mall of 4 stores 😅 In the city, which in a non pandemic year I go into the city about once a month. I probably go to the mall 3 times a year. There are a few stores there I like. It's small and quiet. It's worse going to Costco.

Considering I live within walking distance of an indoor mall, probably once every 6 months or so. Hasn’t changed with COVID.

Once a month maybe? Most of the stores I like can also be found in stand alone locations but sometimes I go to the mall that has them all in or nearby!

Pre-Covid, I would go with DH to Charlotte on business and almost always went to my favorite mall on each trip - so probably 5x a year in recent years. It is a very pleasant place to kill time though many of the stores are just window shopping for me. Unless I was taking my mother shopping, I never went to our local mall. Not sure if you’re talking about SouthPark, but when we lived in Columbia, SC, DH and I would take a day off work, drive up there, and spend the whole day. I haven’t been in probably six years, but it used to be a wonderful mall. Yes, Southpark. I still enjoy it though so many stores I used to love have closed or moved to other locations, like Anthropologie. We started going there probably in the early 90's and there were more affordable options then. One by one, the more modest stores like Coldwater Creek have been replaced with very high end choices. Some stores like Sigrid Olson and Cassell Massey closed up in the last recession. I still love to go to Sur La Table and they have a good Dilliards and Belks.

A couple times a year. Maybe 10x/year at most.

Pre-covid every month or so. We have a few malls I enjoy shopping at. They are modern, clean and spacious with good store selection. And we have West Edmonton Mall with fun entertainment. I enjoy going to get steps on my Fitbit and people watch.

In the last year, I’ve gone once for “shopping.” I was helping my sister buy a dress for her son’s wedding last month, and what she had ordered online didn’t work. We went two days before Christmas, and his wedding was the day after Christmas.
I have also gone twice to return something I purchased online, where I went only to that store, did my return, and left.
I’m not really their target demographic. The closest outdoor mall is 45 minutes away, and the closest traditional one is at least an hour. It’s not something we do.

Pre-covid? Probably once or twice a month. But mostly for my teenage kids. They always seem to need something and the mall is a 5 minute drive.. If I didn’t need to go for them, I’d probably go every other month.

Prepandemic—about 3-4 times a year. Since pandemic I’ve been once—went to the LEGO store at opening one day to get a Christmas present. It was a quick trip since I knew what I wanted and had checked online to make sure it was in stock. There was only one other customer.

I haven't been to a mall for almost 2 years. I just prefer to shop online and try on at home. If I go, it's almost always to make a return.

In the before times we would go a lot in the summer, just to have somewhere to walk around out of the heat. Plus the mall had a Target store attached, so if I needed something at Target, the mall was right there anyway. As far as actually buying things at the mall stores, that didn't happen very often.

There is a nice outdoor mall about 20 minutes away I (used to) go to. But we’d go right to the specific shop or restaurant we were there for and then leave. No browsing at all.

Pre-COVID, I'd go once a week or so. My Monday morning routine was to work at the Panera at the mall and then run a few errands there. Also, in the winter I'd often go to the mall just to have a warm, dry place to walk around. I've always worked at home, so going out to the mall was a change of pace for me.
I've been to the mall exactly once since last March. I wanted to buy a GC (physical, not electronic) and waited too late to have it mailed. The place was dead dead dead the week of Christmas.

Not at all in the year because of the pandemic.
Prepandemic, maybe 1-2 times per year, if there was something specific I needed. My last trip to the mall was when I was visiting family in a small town and we all wanted to get matched for our winter shades of Fenty foundation at Sephora.
I live in a big city so there are more standalone stores available and most malls are further out and in the suburbs.

We live within a 10 minute drive of the MOA (Mall of America). We don't like to wander and shop, but we will go there with a purpose. It has stores DD14 specifically likes that are not elsewhere or close. That being said, we know when to go and where to park to be in and out very quickly. We usually go on a Monday or Tuesday evening when there are far less people there. If it isn't too bad, we might grab dinner at Johnny Rockets because every once in a while we have a taste for real cherry cola.
Since COVID I think we went once to go to Lululemon for DD. No lingering!

Pre-COVID, maybe 5 to 7 times a year. That includes the few times we went to the movie theater attached to the mall.
My trips were usually just for picking up orders at JCP or Christopher and Banks that I had delivered to the store to get free shipping.
Any other trips are at the request of my DDs when they need to buy something that I am footing the bill for.

It depends on time of year. I would estimate once a month or so.

I think the last time I went was over a year ago, to pick up an order at Macys. Other than that, I try to stay in the "never" category.

Not at all right now. We really don’t have a local mall, anyway.
I loved going to the mall when I was young, though, and still love shopping at one. Once things are mostly back to normal I’m headed to SouthPark Mall in Charlotte. It has all of my favorite stores plus a California Pizza Kitchen and Cheesecake Factory. Mall heaven.

Looking at all of the responses, it's amazing that the malls are still open. Ours seems to be busy or at least the parking lot seems to be full. We lost two major anchor stores in the past few years and a few larger stores around the perimeter of the mall have closed down.
I prefer to go to the outdoor shopping mall where I can park near the store that I want to go into (usually Bath and Body Works), get in, get what I need and then leave.

Pre COVID whenever I need clothes, shoes, linens, a gift. When it comes to clothes I like to see the material and see the fit before buying. I hate having to go to ups or the post office to make returns. Wheat I shop on line sometimes I end up keeping things I don’t love because it is a bother to retur.

Into the actual mall, never. However, Hobby Lobby is at one of the outside entrances and I go there a couple of times a month. And one of our favorite pizza places is right inside the main doors. I go there for pickup about once a month or so.

Hardly ever. I can’t remember the last time. About a year ago, a friend and I went to a restaurant at the mall that had an outside door. While we were eating, a school bus sideswiped my car. Tons of damage to my car. That’s it.

The last time I went to the mall was October 2018 to get some cartilage piercings in my ear. There’s a non-chain piercing salon there that’s really good and sanitary.

Prior to covid, i probably go to an indoor mall about three times month but I only walk the mall maybe once (meaning I hit one of the anchors—-we have a popular sports store call Scheels that I go to a lot).
Since covid, I have walked the local mall three times (two were after I had covid and during the Christmas season).
I’ve been to the MOA twice. Once was a quick back to school trip with strategic locations and less than two hours.
The second time I went with my Dh and kids on NYE. Had to eat in the car since you could not sit to dine. Bought kids shoes and dh exchanged a shirt at Tommy Bahama (only one I know of in the state). Again, we had covid already and were within our 90 days. Still kept it pretty contactless. Mostly just walked.

There's a remnant of a pitiful mall in the small pitiful city I live in. I do technically "go" there because TJMaxx is there, but they have an outside entrance so it really doesn't count.
My husband and I had gotten in the habit of an annual trip to a really great mall in Charlotte (South Park, if you're familiar), but haven't been there since Covid. It has fabulous stores and is a great 'window-shopping' mall. There are a lot of great stores around it as well plus wonderful dining opportunities. And now I'm feeling sad and want to go...
