Do you still love all of your stamps?

I have some I should probably purge --- SC sends a new stamp every month with the DK kit I was getting and they add up. Some I will use but they are so repetitive though.

I have too many but I am trying to get better about using them. I get two each month with my cocoa daisy kits. I’m not ready to give up the kits so I have to keep getting stamps. But yes I love them all!

I have too many stamps, but recently I have been trying to organize them better, so that I can make better use of them. Over time, I will go through my ridiculously huge collection and offer those I no longer love to friends, or perhaps try to sell them at a yard sale or something.

My lesser expensive stamps, the ones that came with SC kits etc, I am likely to get rid of if I don't think I will use them, or if I need to make space. Stamp sets with matching dies I don't usually get rid of. I have curbed my stamp purchases a lot in the past year or so, it forces me to go back through my stash and use what I have.

I regret purchasing cutesy looking stamps (Lawn Fawn, my Favorite Things, etc). I prefer Tim Holtz stamps & dies.

I have my stamps divvied up into 1) sets I know I love and will keep probably forever, and 2) crappy old stamps that I should purge, lol....some fall in between.

The majority of my stamps are words. Because of the price point, I buy sets I know I'll use multiple times.

Since I only incorporate stamping into layouts (not a cardmaker, art journaler, etc.), prefer wood mounted rubber (which is almost extinct!), already own the versatile images that I gravitate toward (e.g. lines, grids, circles), & painsakingly overanalyze every purchase, I rarely even purchase stamps! I like & am content with my current stamp inventory. 


ETA: I suggest donating stamps (or any supplies) that are no longer (or never been/will never be) used to a scrappy friend, child, or local charitable organization. Not only does it free (often limited) storage space for desired supplies, but also encourages others' creativity. 

I made so many beginners purchasing mistakes. Sigh.

I really need to purge what I don’t like. I think I may even breakup the sets and keep some stamps and ditch the others. I have way too many items in general and I need to start someplace.

I sold a bunch of stamp sets last year that were no longer my style, or were things I had received in a kit that was just not a design I loved or thought I'd use. If I'm being completely honest there are more sets I could get rid of because I don't love everything I own, but I like them well enough to keep.

I don't like any of my stamps anymore. I haven't scrapped offline (haha - undigitally) in a while, but am planning on doing so in the next few months. Maybe I'll change my mind, but I really doubt it.

I've been stamping now for over 20 years. I've overhauled my collection a couple of times. I have also been a consultant for a paper crafting company twice now. The first time that I was a consultant I was pretty good about purging sets that retired and I didn't have a strong attachment too. I'd sell them to my cusomters for a reduced amount. Then I moved from one state to another and purged a ton of my stamps before I moved. I regret this. I'm still constantly - 9 years later - hunting for stamps that "I know I have" but I don't have them anymore. It seems to have pushed me into a more hoarding type of mentality with my stamps. I'm having a very hard time letting anything go. Even if I don't wholeheartedly love it or have room for it or have 5 other sets that are basically the same thing - I still am having trouble parting with it. Then, six months ago, a friend of mine gave me over 350 stamp sets that she just didn't want to deal with anymore. The idea was I could sell them and make some extra money. I'm having a very hard time parting with HER stamp sets. It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm drowning in stamp sets and need a wake up call. I spend more time looking for the stamp set I want at this point then I do actually using it. And my sets are fairly well organized.

i have a bunch of Technique Tuesday clear alphabet stamps that i bought and never use.  i don't think i will ever use them so i'm going to purge those.  i'm actually going to purge all of my clear stamps.  i'm going to stick with the old school, tried and true red rubber stamps.

speaking of stamps, i just acquired a bunch more sheets of Tim Holtz stamps.  i have always like his stamps and am happy to have gotten a hold of more.
