I’m hoping to catch up on some paper kits this month. I did a FB live class today and cut the paper for cards and a couple layouts. I made the cards - Valentines Day and they were shaker cards so lots of fun. Tomorrow they are doing the layouts and a kids craft. It’s a nice distraction so hoping to watch. I lost my crafting mojo before the holidays and hoping to get it back. I have a ton of kits and hoping to find time to go back and watch snd put them together.
I love the colors of the sock yarn posted. I really wish I was talented enough to make them. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
I also love the Moon Shadow afghan. That’s a really nice textured throw.
Patter I love your afghan. Pretty colors.

lainey Holy smokes that sweater is gorgeous! jeremysgirl Let me look at what I’ve received so far. I haven’t looked at it too closely, but the overall theme is a Caribbean mystery and this month’s block was based on half square triangles. Hopefully, I can share my block soon!

Thank you Scrapper100. I am caught up now which makes me a bit sad because now it will grow very slowly at a square a day. I may need to get behind again so I can do several days at once. LOL!

I am caught up now which makes me a bit sad because now it will grow very slowly at a square a day. This sounds to me like you need another project on your hook to work on simultaneously. Jeremy was like you'd like that yarn bouquet better than flowers and candy so order it. And I did. Ha! I have wanted to do the Waroo shawl for a while now. I'm so excited I finally get to do it.

MichyM here you go. This is one triangle. I just have 6 rows left on this one. It goes super fast. You can see how I am getting into the darker blues now from the skein. I can't wait to see how it looks once I get to the 2nd triangle.

I haven’t touched any knitting for a couple of years. Where I work gets cold, so I went in search of a shawl and fingerless gloves on Amazon. As I was looking and having little success, I realized I was being supremely stupid. Signed into Ravelry and came away with some patterns.
The yarn arrived for the shawl yesterday. For a pattern I found on Two of Wands called Campfire Blanket wrap. It’s a rectangle. Was not ready to tackle a triangle scarf. Plus, it uses Lion brand yarn, which I know is easily washed. Important due to the resident slobber hound at work.
I will be going through my yarn stash for the gloves. They need to be soft. Since they will be small, I can easily hand-wash them.
The yarn for the wrap still needs to be balled. It will be a good test for knitting with fingernails. First time in my life I have had fingernails this length. If I have to choose, I will choose knitting.

I have just finished up another little cardigan for my DGD. Only one problem - it needs buttons and I don’t have any suitable buttons on hand and all the button shops are shut and I can’t find anything suitable online. It may well get sent off with instructions to her mum, who can sew and has access to button shops.

I finished my magic heel socks yesterday afternoon, I kitchenered the toes and put them on to see how they fit and didn't take them off till bedtime! I'll give them a wash then take some pics.
I'm going to spend some time today going through my yarn and patterns to try to pair them up. I also need to figure out what to do with this, I bought it with the intention of holding it double with some pink lace weight yarn to make a shawl but they don't go together at all. The obvious solution is of course...buy more yarn

gillyp - I love your bat shawl. I haven’t tried illusion knitting, but it looks intriguing. One day! Thank you! It's much easier to do than to photograph! There are a number of lovely patterns on that site. It's literally one row knit and the next a mixture of knit and purl with alternate colours every two rows.

seaexplore wow! You've been busy. I am loving your selections for the temperature quilt. Can't wait to see that in action. sueg that little sweater is so bright and happy colored. I just love it. Bummer on the buttons. but you said yesterday in the dinner thread that covid numbers were going down and you were expecting some lifting of restrictions, so hopefully you can bet buttons soon. gillyp the bat shawl is amazing! Just amazing! I am sitting here just in awe of how cool it is wishing I could make one...

jeremysgirl, thank you, I love it! I tried every which way to get a decent photo of the full illusion but I couldn't manage it. Maybe I should have put it on the kitchen table. I might try that later.

I'll be finishing up two quilts I started in January. They just need to be quilted and bound. The Disappearing Four Patch was fun and quick to piece. The other quilt is a Missouri Star Quilt Company pattern called Into the Woods. They did it in red, black and white but I've been wanting to make a wintery quilt in these softer colors and this pattern was calling my name. My helper approves.
