Some sports and entertainment companies are planning for vaccine passports, and of course the GOP is up in arms. The govt. is helping to develop passport guidelines, although there will not be a federal mandate or a vaccine database. Most countries are going to be using passports. This will be a way for life to return to normal, according to an article in the WaPo. It will be interesting to see what happens.

DOJ investigating FL Rep Matt Gaetz... Seminole County tax collector had home searched and info was found about Gaetz allegedly travelling with 17 yr old paid female and sexual relations.. across state lines .. Opened under PREVIOUS administration. I have a particular dislike for FL Trump loving politicians, Gaetz being high on the list. I hope this is the end of him. If Tucker got sucked into it, well then butter my butt and call me a biscuit. I will be having a personal party.

Remember that Gaetz is the one who has a young man living with him. He claimed he had adopted him, but that is questionable at best! casii

Thinking this should go on the new GOP thread.... What planet is McCarthy living on?!?!?! IF the charges against Gaetz are true he will be removed from his committee assignments... IOF they are true he should be in PRISON! For now he should be removed from the Judiciary Committee! But I guess his buds would give him confidential info anyway.. Not differet then what they did with Nunes!! ** thehill.com/homenews/house/545742-gop-leader-says-gaetz-would-lose-committee-seat-if-charges-true

Can they please report on *REAL* NEWS?!? Actual humans smeared their poop around the Capitol on January 6th. Literally every dog owner has cleaned up dog poop at one time or another. I swear, Fox never reported on the former, but will wax eloquent on the latter for days.

Actual humans smeared their poop around the Capitol on January 6th. Thing is, they could have collected DNA from it too.... Landlords are doing for dogs on their properties.

The order prevents government entities from issuing “vaccine passports, vaccine passes, or other standardized documentation for the purpose of certifying an individual’s COVID-19 vaccine status to a third party.” It also prohibits businesses in the state from requiring customers or patrons to provide documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or “post-transmission recovery” to receive services. Businesses can still institute COVID-19 screening protocols. ** thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/546202-desantis-issues-executive-order-banning-vaccine-passports

Poor former's camaign committee!! Oh, well we know they don't pay! Wisconsin is seeking more than $250,000 in legal fees incurred from challenges to the 2020 presidential election filed by former President Trump and his GOP allies.Lawyers for Gov. Tony Evers (D) filed court papers on Wednesday asking for legal fees from two different lawsuits that were filed in a Milwaukee federal court. The suits were among multiple unsuccessful lawsuits that Trump and his allies filed in Wisconsin and other swing states seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election. President Biden won in The Badger State by just over 20,000 votes. Evers is seeking $145,174 from one suit filed by the Trump campaign alleging that state election officials likely tainted over 50,000 ballots in the state. “The audacity of this lawsuit—an attack on the bedrock principle that ballots decide elections, brought without any legal or factual basis, more than four weeks after the election—merits the imposition of both a fee award and a punitive sanction,” Evers’s attorneys wrote. ** thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/546046-wisconsin-seeks-over-250000-in-legal-fees-incurred-from-gop-election

Another lawsuit lost!! Couldn't happen to nicer guys!! Devin Nunes' aide and attorney ordered to pay CNN's legal fees for filing 'bad faith' legal document: report Tom Boggioni April 02, 2021 "This Court finds that Plaintiff Harvey's filing of the Amended Complaint unreasonably multiplied the proceedings in this case, and this Court is satisfied that it is appropriate to impose a sanction as to the Plaintiff and his counsel under this court's inherent authority and (federal law)," the judge ruled, adding, "In fact, this Court was hard pressed to see how several of the allegedly defamatory statements cited in Harvey's original Complaint had much to do with the Plaintiff at all, as they focused almost entirely on the actions of Congressman Nunes." In summary, the judge ruled that Harvey and Biss are to pay CNN's court costs and legal fees, saying the amended complaint was filed in "bad faith." ** www.rawstory.com/devin-nunes-aide-cnn-lawsuit/

In fact, there’s no surge of migrants at the border.US Customs and Border Protection apprehended 28% more migrants from January to February this year than in previous months. But this was largely seasonal. Two years ago, apprehensions increased 31% during the same period. Three years ago, it was about 25% from February to March. Migrants start coming when winter ends and the weather gets a bit warmer, then stop coming in the hotter summer months when the desert is deadly. To be sure, there is a humanitarian crisis of children detained in overcrowded border facilities. And an even worse humanitarian tragedy in the violence and political oppression in Central America, worsened by US policies over the years, that drives migration in the first place. But the “surge” has been fabricated by Republicans in order to stoke fear – and, not incidentally, to justify changes in laws they say are necessary to prevent non-citizens from voting. ** To stop this, Democrats are trying to enact a sweeping voting rights bill, the For the People Act, which protects voting, ends partisan gerrymandering and keeps dark money out of elections. It passed the House but Republicans in the Senate are fighting it with more lies. On Wednesday, the Texas Republican senator Ted Cruz falsely claimed the new bill would register millions of undocumented migrants to vote and accused Democrats of wanting the most violent criminals to cast ballots too. The core message of the Republican party now consists of lies about a “crisis” of violent migrants crossing the border, lies that they’re voting illegally, and blatantly anti-democratic demands voting be restricted to counter it. The party that once championed lower taxes, smaller government, states’ rights and a strong national defense now has more in common with anti-democratic regimes and racist-nationalist political movements around the world than with America’s avowed ideals of democracy, rule of law and human rights. Donald Trump isn’t single-handedly responsible for this, but he demonstrated to the GOP the political potency of bigotry and the GOP has taken him up on it. ** more at link www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/mar/28/republicans-politics-bigotry-democracy-risk-border-voter-fraud-trump-biden

Um, and who was the master of punishment?
and Sen Lee says >> "It’s time for the federal government to stop granting special privileges to specific, favored corporations—especially those that punish their political opponents."

'That's cold blooded': Trump critics stunned by depths president went to as he scammed supporters out of moneyMatthew Chapman April 03, 2021 On Saturday, a bombshell report from The New York Times revealed that former President Donald Trump's campaign was deceiving its donors, turning one-time payments into recurring monthly donations without their knowledge by automatically checking the box to do so and making it hard to see on the page confirming the contribution. This deception led to more than one in ten Trump donors demanding refunds for the money they never agreed for the campaign to take out of their bank accounts. Stunned commenters on social media blasted the Trump campaign for the sleazy tactic, accusing him of perpetrating a financial scam on the very people who tried to keep him in office. ** www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-grift/One of the articles I read said that they will still support dt! Who are they?!?!? I am amazed, how can they not know it is all a scam when their bank accounts are being emptied, even if they get some of the dollars refunded, they have to fight for it!!

No sympathy from me. "Despite deteriorating finances, the Trump campaign was able to stay afloat last year in part thanks to what amounted to "an interest-free loan from unwitting supporters at the most important juncture of the 2020 [presidential] race," a New York Times investigation found. Reporter Shane Goldmacher writes that the campaign used pre-checked boxes, which became "dizzyingly complex" as finances worsened. If donors missed the fine print, what they thought were one-time donations wound up recurring weekly. Another pre-checked box automatically added cash to the amount given. You can actually see the impact of these prechecked boxes on Trump's refund rate with this graphic t.co/vu10yWJaEs pic.twitter.com/N7bXB9dCx0 — Shane Goldmacher (@shanegoldmacher) April 3, 2021 The Times provided details about specific cases, including one man who donated $500, but soon discovered the campaign had reeled in $3,000 from him within 30 days, depleting and freezing his bank account. When all was said and done, the Trump campaign refunded $122 million or 10 percent of what it raised online in 2020, and Goldmacher notes the number will likely still increase. For context, the Biden campaign refunded $20.2 million, or 2.2 percent of its online donations, over the same span." theweek.com/speedreads/975527/trump-campaign-used-dizzyingly-complex-prechecked-boxes-reel-recurring-donations-amid-dwindling-finances
