The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child together, the couple announced on Sunday. The baby will be the younger sibling to the couple's son Archie Harrison, who will turn 2 on May 6. "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson for the couple told PEOPLE. Meghan and Harry announced their pregnancy news with a stunning black-and-white photo that was taken remotely via iPad by their friend and longtime photographer, Misan Harriman. A smiling (and barefoot!) I was going to post on Eugenie's baby thread that Harry & Meghan will confirm their pregnancy any day now because they won't be able to resist stealing her thunder yet again...but I stopped myself because I didn't want to hijack an otherwise positive thread but I would have been right!
Anyone who follows them (either liking or disliking them) has been expecting the announcement any day now - she hasn't been seen from the waist down for a few months and she's already said she won't travel to the UK with Harry in April and she asked for a 9 month delay in her court case, she's made sure to leave plenty of crumbs all over the net for people to pick up and to keep the speculation going.
At least we'll be spared 12 months of watching her clutch that ever changing bump this time.
But WTF is up with Harry's dirty great foot in the center of the photo? Surely a professional photographer should be able to pose them better than that. At least they photoshopped in some hair for him.

Most people are assuming they chose today because of Valentine’s Day.
How wonderful that this pregnancy won’t be like Archie’s: out of the public eye, she can rest her hand on her bump, ( something every pregnant woman I know does) without it becoming a front page breaking news filled with derision.

It doesn't matter if Megan is a British citizen or not, if the baby is born on American soil he/she will be an American citizen. I imagine that he would also be a British citizen as I know my neighbors kids are dual citizens (born to British parents in the US). I don't have a clue on the whole royal thing. |

Not dirty, just differently colored than the top of our feet. Thanks for noticing. Also, they’re outside in the grass and barefoot. In that situation, pristine feet aren't guaranteed. |
