That's cool that Archie will have a sibling. I like Megan and Harry and hope they have a long happy marriage just to piss off the naysayers.

Some of us have orange feet on the bottom. Not dirty, I didn't use dirty in the literal way, it's an expression of speech.

Can't people be happy for Eugenie AND Megan and Harry? It looks like Megan is not newly pregnant. I wonder when she is due? I was just thinking that myself. I believe she wrote an op-ed about her miscarriage in November, and that happened in the summer. So maybe they tried as soon as it was safe in the fall. That would put her around 4-5 months? I love the photo, it is very sweet. I am not a huge fan of these two anymore (I was a first), but I do feel this is a poke at overshadowing Eugenie's baby news. Can I ask a very dumb question: if this baby is born on American soil, is he an English royal baby (even without a title)? or is he an American citizen? I thought Megan had to become a British citizen before she got married, but I'm not sure if that actually happened? Or maybe it was becoming a member of the English Church I think thinking about? He’ll claim his British citizenship through his father the same as anyone else is able to. I guess he’ll end up with dual citizenship if he applies for a British passport.

It came off as literal though. 😉 No, you were just wrong in your interpretation. People who live in different countries to you, will use words differently. Ok... but why is your interpretation the correct one and mine is wrong?

Has Eugenie announced her baby's name yet? If not, isn't this the better time for the Sussexes to make this announcement? Won't the York baby come back to the front of the cycle once they reveal his name?

Ok... but why is your interpretation the correct one and mine is wrong? Idiom. Look it up. Can you just spell out for me what the hell you meant? I’m not finding anything on Australian slang that says that dirty means anything other than dirty. I am genuinely trying to understand you and I’m not getting anywhere and I’m getting irrationally angry about this now (which I have no doubt you will find wildly funny). Please tell me how you saying “has dirty feet” in Australian means something different from “has dirty feet” in american? Genuinely confused. Thanks.

I have only good will towards babies, but these two are the most fame and press hungry people who ever sought “privacy.”

A baby is a blessing. I'm sure she waited until far along in the pregnancy to feel more confident that she might not miscarry. Having had a miscarriage, I remember the stress I felt throughout the ensuring pregnancy, hoping it wouldn't happen again. I'm very happy for them.

Please tell me how you saying “has dirty feet” in Australian means something different from “has dirty feet” in american? Genuinely confused. Thanks. OMG - Why can't you just accept when someone tells you about a figure of speech they personally use, or is used in their country? It's not that hard to not be an ugly American about it. It's a figure of speech/slang whatever you want to call it. I did not write "has dirty feet" I wrote "his dirty great foot". "Dirty great" implies big/ugly/unattractive/in the way. It expresses dislike and negativity, the 'dirty' part isn't always literal. This conversation makes me want to say "there's no need to have have dirty great argument about it" If you stand in front of the TV when I'm trying to watch it, and I'm annoyed I might say, "can you move her dirty great head outta the way" That's exactly how I talk sometimes and I typed that out without even thinking about it, but I didn't write it because I thought he had literal dirty feet. I said it because I think a man's big naked foot in the center foreground of a pregnancy photo shoot is ugly. It's the same as American's say "stinking cute" I don't think anyone ever means that the cute thing they are talking about actually smells bad. Can we stop hijacking this thread now? I'm giving you 5 minutes to read this and then I'm going to delete all my posts explaining it to you because it's in no way relevant to the topic at hand Ok thanks for explaining that. I will be sure not to ask you more questions about that. Didn’t think I was being an “ugly american” by questioning your phrase but ok. I’ve never heard this phrase before. “Bloody whatever”, yes. “Dirty whatever”? Nope. But now I know. Anyways thanks for explaining.

Notting Hill had the biggest opening at the time for a rom-com and has been seen by million of people over the last 20 years. I'm sure lots of couples have copied that position for their pregnancy photo shoots since it was released. I just pointed out the photos were similar, there's no argument about that.

They announced that they were expecting Archie at Eugenie’s wedding, and now they have stolen her thunder again.
Eugenie and her husband are living in the Sussex’s old house.
All very odd.

I think the timing is odd as well. Eugenie's baby. Same day as Princess Diana's announcement. Its just all weird.

I assumed that the announcement date was a nice little way of including Diana, since she isn't around to be "delighted" like everybody always is after these announcements. Without actually mentioning her, having the announcement on the same day as she announced her pregnancy made people remember her. If a pea had said she did the same thing, people would think it was sweet, not weird.

Of course, they can do what they like but for people who wanted privacy more than anything apparently they keep putting themselves front and centre and then complaining when it's commented upon. I think that's what gets people's goat. And until this thread I hadn't seen the connection with Diana.

If a pea had said she did the same thing, people would think it was sweet, not weird. People find it difficult to be happy for Black women. There is no other explanation. And before anyone tries to fight me on this keep in mind I’m giving your opinion the same value you’ve assigned to mine 😉 An okay article: www.danielledash.com/a-quick-read/2017/2/5/6t8v0qn6o4k6tjixpvsqh6si7rtqu4Material Health disparities: www.glamour.com/gallery/celebrities-who-have-spoken-out-about-black-maternal-health/ampAnd random about the photographer: Last year, Harriman became first Black photographer to shoot the cover for British Vogue's all-important September Issue. That spread featured footballer Marcus Rashford, model Adwoa Aboah and a number of other prominent campaigners, and was headlined "Activism Now: The Faces of Hope." It was a fitting assignment for Harriman, who only became a professional photographer in 2016 after a career in finance, and whose images of the Black Lives Matter protests shot him to prominence in 2020. "Through my lens I have seen the beating heart of London," Harriman told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in August, after a number of pictures he took at protests in the city went viral. One, which featured England youth hockey player Darcy Bourne, outside the US Embassy, holding up a sign reading "Why is ending racism a debate?," came to symbolize the city's demonstrations over the summer. I guess I see a difference between choosing to release a photo of your private life versus having someone secretly take a photo of your private life and selling it. It seems to me that whatever they did, some people would find fault.

How is announcing a pregnancy stealing the thunder of someone who had a baby a few days ago? That birth is already old news and completely out of most people’s minds. I’m pretty sure though that Eugenie is still thrilled with her child.

Meghan trying to associate herself with that for the sake of public opinion. Didn’t work out for her.

Your criticism has nothing to do with the fact that Harry’s wife is a Black woman right?

I think it is weird that people hate them so much and criticize everything they do.
I wouldn't make all of the same choices they do, but I don't dislike them.
I have no idea how this is stealing Eugenie's spotlight. I see what other people are saying but it just seems dumb to me. Unless they announced it the day Eugenie had the baby, it isn't a big deal. This is like when people get pissed that someone is having a wedding in the same month they are. You get that day to be the center of attention- not the whole week, or month, or year.
