Lately, I’ve been waking up at least two to three times a night due to hot flashes and DH leaving for work. I can’t recall the last time I’ve slept 7-8 hours straight without waking up at least once. Do you sleep through the night?

nope- not since I was a teen - between knee injuries, pregnancy, nursing, co-sleeping (rinse, lather, and repeat for roughly 20 years), and then night sweats and getting up to pee...it's been 30+ years since I've slept through the night.

No. I wake up quite a bit during the night. Sometimes I will sleep until about 5:00am and then wake to go to the bathroom, but usually I am up at least a few times before that.

I do, but only because I take Ativan every night. My problem is falling asleep, not staying asleep.

No. I cannot recall the last time I did. Aside from my gerbil sized bladder, there are a number of other contributing factors. I have also always been an early riser, and it seems to be getting earlier and earlier all the time. I wake up when DH gets up, which is getting to be more and more often. The cats wake me up at odd times for whatever reason. If I wake up any time after about 2 am, there is very little change I will go back to sleep.

Rarely. I'm just not a good sleeper...I haven't been since I was a teenager. Sometimes it's that I can't fall asleep other times it's that I can't stay asleep.

I usually sleep through 5-6 hours a night and occasionally either need to get up to pee because I drank too much water before bed or just wake up and can't get back to sleep.

Never. Always wake up at least once, and more typically 3-4 times a night.

Normally yes. I might wake up one time to go to the bathroom but I go right back to sleep. Currently now at 39 weeks pregnant I’m up every 2 hours to go to the bathroom and to try to get comfortable. Good training for what’s to come I guess.

I never have trouble sleeping. However, menopause hot flashes were fun. I woke up often soaked. That passed and then I got old. I get up twice to pee every night now but I still sleep well.

I'm amazed at people who close their eyes at night and then open them in the morning. I've never slept like that. I'm not a bad sleeper, per se, but I have never, in my life, slept solidly through the night. I fall asleep fine between 10 and 11; usually wake up around 12:30; again at 3-3:30; again around 5:30 and then wake up between 6:30 and 7. I think I generally get a good night's sleep, but never have I slept straight through.

I slept through the night 3 weeks ago. I got my second shot the day before and felt like crap so 2 ibuprophen pm's and I woke up the next morning feeling better than I had in a long time.
I'm usually a decent sleeper but I've been dealing with some heavy work related stress that wakes me up at 2 every morning. A couple nights ago I was done with it so I took a melatonin at 9:30 to see if that would help. I feel asleep quickly then woke up thinking it was at least 5 am, I was feeling so rested! I looked at my clock at it was freaking 11:00 pm!! I had only slept for 1.5 hours! I need to change my habits, or find medication because this isn't good for me....

Not in a long time. I used to sleep like a log, straight through the night. Now I wake up a couple of times. It is usually because I get warm (no sweats) and then I wake up again when I am cold after adjusting the blankets when I got hot. It is a cycle. I fall right back to sleep each time but it is annoying.

Nope. I get up to use the bathroom at least twice. I'm lucky if I get 4-5 hours a night.

Nope.
I just got a fitbit, and wear it while sleeping. I'm actually surprised at the sleep score I keep getting. Apparently I sleep better than I think I do. But still not the 8 hours I thought I got!

I rarely sleep through the night.
I have had to stop watching any news in the evening. That helped.

Never. Not for years and years. I wake up probably 3 times a night and have a hard time falling back to sleep.

Rarely do I sleep thru the night, but I do consider it a good night's sleep if I wake up and can go back to sleep without having to get up and go to the bathroom.

It’s hit or miss for me. I checked my sleep app and this week, yes...I’ve slept they the night each night. Last week I was up 3-4 times per night. I have no idea what’s different week over week.

But still not the 8 hours I thought I got! Oh, don't trust those things. I have frequently laid awake for hours watching the clock make its slow progression. I literally see the hours on the clock so I know I'm awake! But I'll get up in the morning and my watch will claim I was blissfully asleep through all those long hours. Couldn't be more wrong.

Never. I am making sure I drink at least 64 oz of water a day and no matter how early I finish drinking the water, I’m still getting up to go to the bathroom a minimum of four times per night. Sometimes five or six times. 😡

That is what I was thinking too, but I would add a snort for good measure. I am a super restless and light sleeper. I typically wake myself up with my thrashing around. It is a momentous occasion when I get a solid 7 hours sleep.

Pretty much always until I started getting acid reflux recently which wakes me in the early hours sometimes. It’s getting better but I miss ‘knowing’ I will sleep like a baby and really hope I revert to my old habits soon!!

Nope! I had a thread on here before about how I've felt tired my whole life. I am up at the least 3xs. Either to pee, or because I woke up, or noise, or something.

It is a momentous occasion when I get a solid 7 hours sleep. This. Since I started taking an estrogen blocker, it has gotten even worse. I never wake less than 3 times per night, and often it takes hours to fall back asleep after the first waking episode (4 hours after falling asleep).
