My sleep improved quite a bit when I stopped drinking coffee but I still wake up at night. When I was a coffee drinker it would take me hours to fall asleep. Now I fall asleep much faster. My weighted blanket helps me go back to sleep faster and I sleep much better if I've worked out that day. I slept well last night and woke up feeling great today. I was thrilled because I had three nights of bad sleep before that.

Yes, almost always and I feel like crud or like I'm coming down with something if I don't get at least 7 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep. When I have work stress or kid stress, it always throws this off, though, and I'll wake in the middle of the night. I usually start a scrapbook video on my iPad and I'll doze back off pretty quick plus do what I can to reduce the stress. Just had about a 2 week stretch of waking in the night with what was bothering me first thing on my mind when I wake up. Think I'm finally getting past it, thankfully.

Very rarely since peri menopause started. I have a variety of sleep aids but mostly they make me feel groggy in the morning. I usually take half a Costco sleeping pill to help me get to sleep.

I'm the most thirsty just before bed, so no.

Between bladder issues and having to keep on my husband (who is in hospice and on oxygen) and help him turn from side to side in his hospital bed and add the dogs wanting in and out and cats trying to cuddle me, I am lucky to get 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Tiredness I can plow through. But I have a ton of fatigue from my breast cancer and that is so hard to plow through.

Most nights, yes.
The only time I don't is if dh snores super loud and wakes me up, ds has a nightmare (always needs mama hugs ❤), it is thundering, or we have a significant earthquake.
So I sleep from 9/10pm till my alarm at 5:20am or 6:30/7am without an alarm.

No. I have the bladder the size of a pea thanks to my mom. I'm hopping once or twice a night depending on how much I've eaten and drank during the day.

I used to but not in the last few years - I’m 58. Wake up at least once and have to go to the bathroom.

My husband and I each have to get up at least three times a night to go to the bathroom! It's so annoying. That's why I have to take a benadryl every night because I can't get back to sleep.

Not since the regiment of drugs they put me on. Water pills being the biggest culprit. These (below) weren't hung on my bathroom wall for no reason! http://instagram.com/p/BbcWOB0jUr-

The only saving grace of DH and I getting up at different times is our mattress. It's a gel foam and you can't feel any movement from the other position getting out of bed.

I am not slept through the night nor had a good nights sleep in over three years. I’m tired of being tired. On occasion I’ll take a Tylenol p.m. but then I’m groggy the next day so I don’t know anymore like I said I’m tired of being tired all day.
Maybe we need another thread started about ideas so that you can sleep through the night

I used to be an amazing sleeper, it was my biggest strength. Haha. Then perimenopause hit and now it’s not great. I sleep through the night about once a month and man, that is my favorite day. I take a melatonin that is supposed to keep you asleep and I really notice if I don’t take it. I read on my Kindle oasis at night with the black screen (white text) but with the warmth setting on high, so the text is orange. I am usually able to fall back asleep fairly quickly (15-20 mins) after my 3-6 wake ups. I need 7-8 hours so I am a bit grateful for COVID we are currently homeschooling, and I can sleep until my body is ready to get up.

Most nights - yes. Though often I do get up to pee but fall right back to sleep.

Not usually. I only get about 4-6 hours of sleep per night and it’s rare that I don’t wake up at least once. Occasionally I sleep through and I find it annoying when the alarm goes off and... that’s it.

Does anybody else drift off to sleep and then wake up, thinking you've slept for hours but when you look at the clock you've only been asleep for 20-30 minutes?! I hate that and always think to myself, WTH!
And thinking about it, I think I sleep more soundly in a hotel room. Maybe it's the constant temperature and the hum of the A/C that keeps me asleep. We don't keep the A/C or heater on when we go to sleep at home, so the temperature in our house does fluctuate.

I don't think I've ever in my life slept through the night. I have chronic insomnia. I toss and turn. I generally sleep 4-5 hours, then wake up for awhile. I have a very hard time falling asleep.
My weighted blanket has help some, but I never get a solid night of sleep.

Nope. I just got a fitbit, and wear it while sleeping. I'm actually surprised at the sleep score I keep getting. Apparently I sleep better than I think I do. But still not the 8 hours I thought I got! Oh, don't trust those things. I have frequently laid awake for hours watching the clock make its slow progression. I literally see the hours on the clock so I know I'm awake! But I'll get up in the morning and my watch will claim I was blissfully asleep through all those long hours. Couldn't be more wrong. So true. If you lay still it thinks you are sleeping. I was awake last night from 1-4:30. I said I slept most of that time. Watched the clock progress minute by minute by minute.

I’m pretty much a champion sleeper. It’s one of my super powers.
I fall asleep easily and virtually never wake during the night to go to the bathroom. My husband does get up once or twice a night and I often even sleep through that. If I do wake up, it’s just sort of a hazily aware of what he’s doing state and I fall right back into restful sleep.
I’m terrified of ever developing insomnia. I’d not have the slightest idea how o handle that.

Nope! I wake up at least a few times a night. My husband snores really loudly plus I just naturally keep waking up. It sucks!😬

My problem is generally getting to sleep, not staying there. And it goes through phases and is entirely dependant on my mental state. Last night,8 clear hours. A week ago, I was regularly waking at 3am.

Sadly No. It is nothing new though. It is something that has plagued me my whole life. I wake up pretty much hourly. And once I hit about 5 hours of “sleep” it is very hard to get back to sleep. It is something I wish I could change.

Yes for the most part I do! Luckily i am one of those people who are out once their head hits the pillow. I love sleep and can pretty much sleep anywhere anytime. I feel bad for those who can’t because on the rare times I can’t it’s so frustrating.
