This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . If you are doing the Team Challenges, this challenge is worth one point for each page when you complete all 4. So that's 4 points for completing the Pokey Pea Challenge.

February slipped away so quickly. I feel like I need another week before March. I hope you all have time to do projects and play with pretty paper in the month of March. At least it is longer than February so we can accomplish a little more. If you haven't joined in the 2Peas Online Crops on weekends, consider doing so. It has been fun to really get to know one another. If you need help getting on, our resident computer gurus here can help you. The link is always posted on the General Scrapping section and it is usually Sat and Sun for a few hours. Thank you to those who have helped set this up and come to scrap often. Also, check out the Online Crop set up by sleepingbooty here. 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/118554/online-2021-crop-march-editionIt should be a relaxed and fun month of scrapping. Come and get scrappy.

Happy Sunday! Thanks nylene for the new thread. I am hanging in there and today was a hard day just full of lots of tears. It is so hard losing a loved one during the quarantine. So I just let myself cry and veg out. Whew! joyfulnana- THANKS so much for the happy mail. Hugs to ya! nylene- I couldn't wait to share that pocket card with everyone. I turned out so fun and the ticket book was my favorite part. Thanks for checking out the video. Waving hi to all you sweet peas!

Happy March, Pokeys! Grief is a strange thing, kellyr21: it can have you laughing one moment at a sudden memory, or dissolving in tears the next. It can have you patient and kind with everyone, and then just furious about some little thing. And it doesn't just go through nice orderly stages and fade away. Oh no. You think you have passed through it and are totally okay, and then WHAM one of those stages hits you right in the face. So take time to cry when you can. And when you feel like laughing, think about how your mother would be happy to hear that sound. Try not to make too many decisions, because grief can leave you frozen in place or rushing ahead in a direction you may not really want to go. And if you have seven people, each could be at a different stage at a given time. So be kind to yourself and to others. Do what brings you comfort. I am home with two dogs and a cat. They have all been here before, although the pup has never been here without dd. Have all been settled in and fed. The dogs had a good wrestle with the farm dogs to get the kinks out from the drive. They were all happy to see each other. And the cat is set up in her private quarters in dd's room upstairs, with food and water and litter and the whole bed to herself to sleep on and a window to look out at the world. When I let her out of her crate, she was purring. Dd & family arrived safely to her mil's appartment. Her hubby should be arriving on Wednesday. They are planning a zoom type memorial at some point over the weekend. Her mil always wanted the families to have a meal together when they are in the same town, so I think they are going to figure out how to do that by each family having a separate table in a restaurant. They may be able to reserve all the tables in a small restaurant, so they can talk a little more loudly to each other across the distance. Not sure how much scrapping, if any, I can do when the dogs are here. First thing I need to do is add up my points from February. I was caught up until the 21st. May just take Easy Peasy points for the rest...

grammadee, your explanation of grief is spot on and said so eloquently . Thank you for those kind words that we all echo for kellyr21. Sending lots of hugs to you, Sweet Kelly. I guess I didn't realize you were bringing the animals home with you, grammadee. You have a houseful and I'm sure they all feel very loved and at home (away from home). vexedangel, so glad to see you checking in here. We are always happy to have new friends come scrap and chat here. Tell us a little about yourself. I am a wife, mother of 4 grown children, 14 grandchildren and 1 1/2 great-grandchildren. I mostly scrap the grands and I enjoy making cards. What are your favorite things to scrap? I looked at the new Sheetload of cards for March and now I want to make those. I need to finish some challenges I started from last month, but I plan to do the cards soon.

Happy March Pokeys! It *sounds* Springish, even if it isn't really on the horizon yet. The birds have started singing, and the mornings are lighter. It's good. kellyr21, this is a *rotten* time to be grieving and I think of you regularly. I hope you pop into a crop soon just so we can see your face. But you know we'll probably all overwhelm you with our concern/sympathy too, so whenever you are ready! Hey, vexedangel, I'm sorry you missed the sign up! I almost did as well...short month, right? Welcome to this chatty bunch. They're nice I had an amazing February, coming out with 15 layouts. I think the online crops did most of that, so I'll agree with nylene and encourage all of you to join us if you can! Going to aim for another 15 this month.

Good Morning! kellyr21 take it easy on yourself, I think of you often and thank you for checking in and letting us know how you are. I'll echo kitbop in the hopes you'll pop in on a crop, but of course only when you are ready. grammadee that's a perfect explanation of grief. Your family is very blessed to have you, you are such a great support to them. And wow you have a full house! lol I love it that the cat has her own suite lol. I hope the kids can find a way to have a meal together. Not being able to celebrate loved ones that have passed during this time is the worst thing about this pandemic. vexedangel glad you popped in! I had to double check my March team list, I was sure I saw your name there, but no. You can still play along with the challenges, don't let missing the sign ups stop you! It feels like Spring IS here in MO. It's been in the 50's or higher (!) for a week. This week, 57 will be the coldest day lol. I'll take it! My mom had to go and mention an April blizzard and she better not have jinxed this lol. Linda I feel you like set that cat challenge just for me LOL. I'm finally getting to cat pictures so that is perfect! How is the moving in going? kitbop 15 layouts??!! Wow, 6 is my personal best lol. But I'm only getting that many because of the crops. They keep me working on things when I would have walked away with no company there. vexedangel and Linda I hope you can pop in for one of the crops this month. Even just to say Hi and see what it's all about. They are lots of fun. Honestly, I think I like the virtual ones better than in person, because I don't have to pack up and yet I still get the companionship of other scrappers. Well, I've got to get moving on things this morning. Have a great day! ETA: This thread sounds like an advertisement for the online crops, or a strong arm to join them

I actually scrapped this morning - just a simple layout of photos that have been sitting on the desk for a while. Moving is zapping all of my energy. Yesterday we ran errands in the morning including the permits offices in the county buildings - boy is there a lot of paperwork involved in adding a metal utility building/garage. Then homeschooling followed by a trip to the old house to box up more of DH's stuff, load the car, and then unload at the new house. By the time we ate dinner at almost 8pm, I was beat and still had laundry and dishes...
I'm hoping to do the crop weekend - not sure about the online crops - I'll have to figure out the tech and logistics for that.

And wow you have a full house! lol I love it that the cat has her own suite lol. She met me at the door this morning, led me to the bathroom where her food dish was empty and her litter had been used, mewed politely to explain what she needed. I filled her dish, and she ate while I was scooping the litter. By the time I had washed my hands, she had migrated to her favourite spot in the towel shelf. Cats really don't have owners: they have SERVANTS !

Happy Tuesday! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! You encouragement and wisdom has been very helpful. Between the quarantine and the grief it has been tough. I do hope to join you all on the crop. Chatting and working on crafts feels like fun, good medicine. Today, I am working on that "explosion box" I got from M's. It's a lot of cutting but I am excited to see how it turns out. grammadee- Your words were spot on and helped me so much. I am just rolling with the highs and lows. Hugs to ya, friend! I always love hearing about your pets and grandbaby pets. Glad they are not to homesick and playing well together. vexedangel- WELCOME! I am glad you joined us this month. Nice getting to know you.

End of Day 3 and nothing touched in my scraproom so far...
I know many live with furry beings in their homes and can still do other things, but I find when I am tuned into them, I can’t focus on creativity. So I am living a dog’s life: sleep, eat, play, relax, repeat. The puppy likes to curl up with me on the couch, so I am getting lots of reading done. And pinning on Pinterest...

I started that explosion box earlier this week and hope to work on it this weekend. Waving hi to everyone! Hope you are having a good day! grammadee- Awwww! Your pet family is keeping you busy. I don't think I could craft either with all that cuteness around, especially the puppies. Enjoy!

vexedangel I was thinking your screen name seemed familiar and realized who you are! Glad to see you here! I have a few days off work and getting appointments set up to get estimates for siding for my home. I get my first one on Monday. I feel kinda lazy this morning because I woke up at 3:20 AM. I kept trying to go back to sleep but my husband woke up about 5:30 AM to get ready for work. I was planning to wake up and be productive but that just hasn't happened yet. I am going to go watch Cathy Zielske's scrap space tour.

I just found three SG kits ready to go with photos! My goal is to finish cleaning my desk today and maybe get one of the backgrounds stuck down tonight! vexedangel , you mean you are supposed to start with a clean desk?? I am lucky if I have 2 feet of space to work. I really need to get more organized and donate a bunch of paper so I have more room. I look forward to seeing what you have created. knutschen , new siding for your house sounds wonderful. Over the years you have done so many upgrades. I hope it goes smoothly and that the estimates are in your price range. It's so nice to see you popping by. How's the Covid situation in your area? kitbop and gramma , I hope to see you on the Online Crop today. kellyr21 , I am glad you are having some happy days while missing your mother. Helping Ron with his big project sounds great for both of you. Let us know how it goes. That probably means you won't be on the online crop today. How is the explosion box coming? I have never done one of those. I look forward to seeing it. Linda , it sounds to me that you are burning your candle on both ends. Don't overdo while getting moved and set up. Did you get your DD's dress done? When is the ceremony? joyfulnana , I think I read that you were going to start scrapping your kitty. I am anxious to see photos of her. I'm so glad you got her and that she got YOU. How soon will you be able to get the vaccine. They have opened ours to 50 and up now. We seem to have lots of places you can go and lots of vaccine. Are things still crazy busy at work? grammadee , you are such a great "pet sitter". I'm sure they are enjoying you. I think I would be that way with pets, always tuned in to what they are doing and needing. We had a dog for a very short while and a cat for just a few days. I'm just not a pet mama. I love them at the grands' homes, but that's all. I can't believe how many of the challenges you finished last month. I still hope to do some. I have pulled photos so that will help.

vexedangel - your layout is lovely - the gingham is so pretty with the flowers. I'm sorry about your shoulder - I hope it feels better soon. nylene - I'm trying not to but...there's so much to do. We went into town (nearly an hour away) today because we had to return the internet router from the old house and that was the closest drop-off location. So while we were there we went to a couple of stores. Came home and did chores at the new house and then headed to the old house to pick up another load of stuff and swing by WM for a new ironing board and rake (we decided to toss the old ones - they were on their last legs). Made dinner and did more chores - laundry, dishes, vacuuming. I need to tidy up and rearrange in the craft room as I'm planning to sew tomorrow as no, I haven't finished the dress. Ceremony is April 18th so I have some time but not a ton. It's supposed to rain again tomorrow and I think almost everything we have left needs the (open) trailer so I might get a day off moving. knutschen - some days one just needs a lazy day - enjoy! kellyr21 - glad you have something to look forward to. ((((Hugs)))) grammadee - glad you are enjoying the grand-pets even if they are keeping you from scrapping

Happy Sunday! Waving hi to you all! My dh and I are so tired today after his wonderful event. It is a good tired so that is ok. Yeah, he hosted a career event for college students who want to get into the sports industry. It was on Zoom and we had good attendance both days. He had various panel discussions with excellent sports pros giving out great advice and encouragement. This was a dream come true for us and I was so proud of him and his work. I was the social media gal posting on Instagram the days goings on. I haven't been on a computer and device that much, ever! I had a fun time with you all last night on the chat! I look forward to joining you all again this month. vexedangel- What a pretty layout! I like that gingham so much. Looks great! Linda- Thanks for the hugs! I needed that today. nylene - Yes, Ron's event turned out great and I hope this is been an annual event. My explosion box is coming along slowly. I was working on it last night on our chat. Talking and cutting pieces didn't work out that well. LOL! My pieces were supposed to be the same size but they came out all off! LOL!

nylene The Covid situation has improved at work. They have closed one of the units they had opened when we were so full. The last I heard we had less than 20 patients. We did have over 100!! I hope this keeps trending down. Our manager said that it was going to go in waves for awhile. I have done a lot of upgrades to my home over the years. I think this is the last outside upgrade to the house. I need to get the electrical stuff more up-to-date and was pondering on doing that also. I also need to upgrade my vehicle. I thought I would decided what to do about those things after I get the estimates on the siding. I am enjoying some time at the coffee shop. I am hoping to finish my digital art I have been working on by following a YouTube video. For some reason, the video I am watching shows different steps than what my program will do. I am thinking since it was an older video and some updates have happened since she made it. I have had some difficulty since I am still learning and not sure how to go about doing things in the more updated version. I hope everyone had a good weekend!

vexedangel , that is a great spring LO! Love the gingham, the strips of florals, and those cute Easter photos. Sorry I missed you yesterday, kellyr21 . I was on only for a short chat. Glad your dh’s event went well. nylene have you found anything else out about your poor tooth? Is it this month you have a family wedding? Hoping you are feeling better for that! Linda , I am hoping for rain all day for you tomorrow. You need a day to just sit. Glad you had some time to check in with us knutschen. Hoping the drop in COVID cases is permanent. Good luck with your upgrades.

vexedangel - love that lovely floral/gingham mix. Sorry about your shoulder...I know too well kellyr21 - so nice to have seen your face yesterday. It sounds like a very rewarding day even tho it was a lot of work for you both. knutschen - glad your cases are trending downwards. Let's hope these new variants don't cause another wave. I'm currently involved with 3 men who are recovering from full blown cases...all 3 just took their first steps this weekend...one since December, two since January. We're seeing lots of shoulder/brachial plexus injuries from improper proning... nylene - I couldn't make the crop today since, well, work. Going to head into my space and see if I can finish the layout I started in the crop last night. I'm noticing that a layout typically takes me 4-5 hours to complete. Geez I'm slow!!! It's why the crops help me so much - it's 4 concentrated hours where I can't give up. grammadee - focus on taking cute pet photos/selfies so you have material to scrap!!! My cats love it when I'm still for a while. They've learned that when I join the online crops it's a good time to lie on my desk...I think they know I'll be there for a while to keep them company. Linda - here's to a down day for you!

Hello! kitbop I'm so glad it's not just me that spends 4-5 hours on one layout! I hardly ever finish one even during a crop. They sure help me make some headway though. vexedangel I'm pretty sure I have that same kit somewhere. Sometimes an SG kit is just what I need. Just follow the directions lol. Love your photos! kellyr21 it was good to see you last night! nylene and grammadee I'm sorry I missed you. I popped in right before everyone was finishing up to chat. No scrapping lol. Linda I'll bet you can't wait to have all this moving business done. I hope you'll be able to join in on a crop during the crop weekend. grammadee, yes, I am now Abby's servant lol. She's quite bossy and I'm so glad I have her. She's starting to tolerate Rudy some. She isn't running to hide from him so much now. Which makes us all happier. He's just soooo much energy! He slept over Friday for the first time in a few weeks. I was exhausted all day yesterday lol. nylene I'm still waiting to hear on the vaccine. I think they just opened it up to 60+ now. I know cases are down here and I'm looking forward to getting out now that the weather is warm. It's been sunny and at least 60 nearly every day since the deep freeze of February. We went straight into spring. Work is still busier than usual for this time of year, but we did get some things taken off our plates and now the workload feels about right. I need myself ready for bed so I can be back at my desk in the morning. The weekends go sooooo fast!
