nylene - I'm sorry the tooth hasn't improved - glad you've scheduled an appointment - you've been in pain way too long. So glad to hear things are improving with your husband's eyes. Add me to the mammogram list - I need to call and schedule mine also. Waiting until I have that second jab though. grammadee - hoping to join those virtual crops this weekend - also hoping I can scrap and listen. I tidied up in the craft room - I still need another 8-cube unit to replace the one that got broken during assembly and I need 3 6-cube units (the smaller cubes) to make my cutting table/sewing storage but they are out of stock. And there's a pile of framed art and photos in the corner that I haven't even started thinking about where to hang. But otherwise the room is about done.

Linda, I was told that you have to wait at least 60 days past your Covid shot to have your mammo because it sometimes shows a false positive if the lymph nodes are swollen.

I need to check this out with the mammo booking center here. Mine is booked just 4 days after my first shot. I really don't want to delay either one of these appointments...

Happy Friday! Ron had a good birthday yesterday. I made him a card, he opened gifts, had a soft dinner and of course CAKE! We watched the basketball game and he fell asleep a happy boy! LOL! Also, every year, we made and post signs around our place with birthday or holiday messages. SO he came home to lots of loving signs. Update on my SheetLoad of Cards video. Yesterday morning I had 8 views. Today, I have over 230! (so far!) Crafty Al was so kind to share my video with her YT family and it has been exciting to watch my views go up, up, and up! By the way, I gave Two Peas Refugees and nylene a shout out in this video! nylene - Oh, I am so glad you got an appt to get that tooth taken care of. Hugs to you and your dh. I hope you both have a restful weekend. Yes, my mom was a special lady and she will be so missed. I hope when the pandemic lifts and we can gather and do something in person at our family church. It was tough not being able to gather in person. Waving hi to you peas and see during our crop this weekend. I will try to be there on the chat and/or on the thread.

kellyr21, I just enjoyed your You Tube video of the Sheetload. Your cards are all so bright and pretty. That large hello is a great stamp. I'm sure you will have lots of use from it. Congrats on the shoutout from Crafty Al. Glad Ron had a nice birthday even with a sore mouth. Linda and grammadee, I just know that they asked if I had recently had a Covid injection and that I would have to wait. It's understandable when our DD had a lymph node swell as large as a walnut on her clavicle after the 2nd shot. It has gone down, but apparently others have had similar swellings that made the mammo invalid. I am hoping to get on at least one of the chats this weekend, but I have been helping DH with some ordering and paperwork that they need at his work. It has kept me tied up most of the day. I can dial his phone and let him talk to people but I need to take notes for him. He does think he sees a "a bit" better today. That's progress. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Whew! Busy scrappy weekend! Finished and posted 13 pages. Got to visit with the Peas on some virtual crops. So good to see you there, Linda! And thanks so much, msliz for organizing those sessions, and you and the others for hosting. I called the mammogram booking office on Friday and they said to go ahead with the Covid shot on Monday and the mammogram on Friday. They noted it on my file that I will have just had my shot. She seemed to think it would be less of a problem with the first shot and this mobile scanning unit only comes through our location once per year. They didn't come last year.

Good Monday morning, Pokeys! Off to get my Pfizer soon. And to print some photos while I am in that town. And I can't remember where I was whining about my Creative Memories package that could not be found on Friday, but I needed to announce that the package has been found. Small towns operate so much differently than big cities. If one address doesn't work, you try another one. And if I had been allowed to contact the driver on Friday afternoon that package would have been in my hands that evening.
So good news all around this morning!

Hey Pokeys. I’m sad I missed all the online crops, but my Crop and Create Delivered Cardmaking was great. And exhausting. I made 21 cards based on the classes. I hope to make at least four more based on make and take and other ideas provided.
This will be the third week DH has been off work. The company he is a subcontractor for sold a few months ago and all the budgets for new projects are slow to get rolling. On the plus side, our living room is getting painted this week!
I have my yearly bloodwork scheduled for next week. I should ask my doctor about a mammogram and a colonoscopy. I had my only mammogram and colonoscopy when I turned 40 (six years ago already). The colonoscopy was because of my dad’s colon cancer diagnosis and at the time my doctor said I should get one every five years. Of course I haven’t seen my doctor in person for a year and a half or so.
Work is pretty quiet. I think a lot of my adult students are just waiting until the new school year to come back. Meanwhile I’m plugging away trying to build online courses for a dozen different subjects.
Sending warm wishes to all of you. I’ve been lurking and reading about your lives.

nylene - DH was diagnosed with Diabetic Macular Edema 4 years ago which meant injections into his eyes. Brutal!!! But after 2 years of injections his eyes stabilized and he now only has to go back once a year unless "something unusual" comes up. Tell your DH to hang in there (you too). It's a long haul but seems to have worked for DH. I'm glad to hear you are getting that tooth business done with. I hate dental stuff with a burning, hot passion. And I don't like it very much either.

Happy Monday! I am hoping you all are having a good day! I was on the weekend crop's thread but couldn't make it to the chats. I know you guys had fun and I hope to join in soon. Looks like many of you were very productive. I hope to get back to crafting this week. I finished covering my explosion box with pp. Now I have to decide what to add to it. Pictures, embellishments and maybe something else I would like to add. I also will be doing a video on it hopefully this week. My "SheetLoad" video is still getting lots of views. I am almost up to 370 views!!!! SO fun! Those Call Me Crafty Al gals are really are cheering me on. LOL! I would like to try another sketch at some point. Waving hi to you all and have a good rest of your day!

Hello all! The online crop was fabulous this weekend - I made great progress on my 2019 album. Hopefully I can keep working on it and eventually get it finished - I'm just into May so far. I even tried out the virtual crops - I'll have to pop in again now and then, I enjoyed it. Today's big project (other than housework and homeschooling) was re-arranging my album shelves...the albums all went up randomly as they came out of boxes and it was driving me nuts so now they are chronological for the most part. Took just over 4 hours of work. kellyr21 - that awesome about your sheetload video - how exciting! justjac- your cards were awesome and you made so many! Sorry about your dh being off work - that's always hard. grammadee - glad your CM package is finally there! nylene - hope your dh's eyes are improving and your tooth also. (((Hugs)))

Oh, justjac, I hope your dh gets back to work soon. These are really scary times. Looks like the C&C weekend was really productive for you. Your cards were really pretty. How is your tooth doing, nylene? Linda, I can't believe you finished that many pages on the weekend! I really enjoyed all the activity and excitement on the boards for the crop and seeing all the eye candy. But it looked like ALL the Pokeys were making pretty things this weekend. I just heard this evening that this coming weekend is Passover, msliz. What are you planning with your family? Our provincial regulations have not changed, so it looks like we will not have much happening here for Easter weekend. The number of cases in the province have maintained or gone up this last few weeks, but the severe cases have decreased considerably, and they believe that is the result of vaccination of the most vulnerable populations. Outdoor gatherings are still allowed, so dgs called last night and asked if we could meet them again half way sometime during spring break (week before Easter) for another wiener roast. Feeling pretty good today after my shot: just a little tired and my arm aches, but not terribly. Put together a couple of pages with some of the photos I printed yesterday. Even got to play with my new CM papers. These will face a couple of pages I did during the crop. Hoping to finish a couple more pages tomorrow, just not sure which set of pic's I will use. And I need to go to the crop thread and the sharing thread to leave some love for the creations there.

Good Morning! I think I'm still recovering from the busy weekend lol. And from a couple of really busy days at work. I think I'm in a rhythm with that so maybe it won't make me so stabby this summer lol. As far as the car goes, I'm starting to think if I have to sink money into repairs, maybe I can put off a new car until next year and get some use from those repairs first LOL. The crop was so fun, so many pretty pretty projects shared! We missed you justjac. Your cards were beautiful. You had a productive weekend! I hope DH gets back to work soon, but hey, home improvements are always nice too! Once they are done lol. Linda I'm so glad you joined in on some of the virtual crops. You got a ton done! Was the confirmation outfit shopping a success for DH? kellyr21 I just watched that video last night and heard the shoutout to nylene and the board. That was cool! And your cards turned out so pretty. I have last months sheetload sketch printed out but haven't done anything with it yet. I hope DH is feeling better after his dental work. nylene that's so good to hear that DH eye sight is getting better! When do you see the oral surgeon? Another weiner roast sounds so fun! I loved hearing about the last one your family had grammadee. Congrats on the shot! You said you got Pfizer shot, is that the single dose? Oh, wait that's the J&J one. Just a few weeks until I can try to get on the board for one. I'm hoping to be fully vaccinated and through the waiting period by Mother's Day. Yesssss! you got your package!! I would like to think my neighbors that I don't know would bring my package if it was delivered to the wrong address. I'm not sure they would :/ Well, I have to get somethings done this morning. I hope you all have a great day!

kellyr21 - waves hello back! grammadee - so glad you got your first jab. Another weiner roast sounds fun - I know you enjoyed the last one! joyfulnana - fingers crossed for your jab being complete by Mother's Day. DH did have success on his shopping trip as DD20 found an outfit that she likes AND I'm happy with. I need to get DD14's dress finished up. I feel a bit badly that DD14 won't be having the same kind of celebration as her older siblings - we did an open house party and invited local family and my mum and sister and best friend all flew down for the older two. But most of local relatives have died or moved, my mum has passed and with the pandemic, no party anyway. We'll buy her a cake and make some special party-type food for the four of us. We're not big party people here - we really only do parties for Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and high school graduation. I think the kids only had 1 or 2 birthday parties each. So not having one is a bigger deal than it might be for some.

Linda that’s great that DH was able to complete that shopping for you. AND it gave you time to scrap! Win win! This pandemic has messed up so many things. That’s too bad she won’t get her big celebration. When will you see DS again? Was he able to close on his house?

We're hoping for this summer but it'll depend on whether he can get leave or not. He did close on his house and is all moved in. He seems very happy with it. It's a nice 3 bed/2 bath single story on about 1/3 acre with a detached garage.

I'm sorry to be absent the last week. It was a rough week. I have been having gastro and obgyn related problems for a long time, but have learned to live with them. It got so much worse last weekend, and my tooth began to throb all the time. I had an appt with a OBGYN who wanted to do surgery immediately. He spent less than 10 minutes with me and seemed so uncaring. I just didn't feel good about it and scheduled my regular OB for a 2nd opinion. That same day I saw the oral surgeon who scheduled my tooth removal for early the next morning. He wasn't able to get me numb enough and had to use an IV to put me out. Much better!! My 2nd opinion appt. was much better. My regular OB said he does the surgery but would not recommend it for me. He gave me some suggestions and I feel so much better about it. DH's eyes are getting better little by little. gramma , he has been having shots in both eyes every month for over 15 years. One eye is so blind that they quit the shots in that one. We hope that he can continue to hold what little vision he has by having the shots. I agree, shots in eyes are brutal! His mom was blind within a year of being diagnosed because there was no treatment then. I hope your DH won't need any more. I am keeping ice on my jaw, so not accomplishing much. I hope to finish some pages in a few days. I'll come back to keep up with the chat I have missed. I haven't been a very good hostess this month. Have a great weekend.

Happy Friday, Pokeys! I just got home from my mammogram, so all my appointments are done for the time being. Had thought I would finish a LO I had laid out on my scrap counter from yesterday, but don't think that will happen today. So good to hear from you, nylene. Glad you have had the tooth removed, and glad they put you to sleep for the procedure. Too bad they hadn't decided on that BEFORE they started to work on it. OWWWW! And I hope your other issues are now more under control. I am glad you went to your own ob to get a second opinion. You don't want someone you don't really trust to be doing a surgery you don't agree with. Hope your vehicle does not eat up any more of your hard earned money while you are trying to get the value out of this last cash injection, joyfulnana. And I hope you have some time to relax and play this upcoming weekend. Glad you and your ds are both settled into your new digs, Linda. I hope that after the trial run last weekend you will be able to drop into at least one of the virtual crops this week. You don't need to chatter any more than you want to. Maybe I will finish my LO during the crop on Sunday. Trying to decide if this LO really NEEDS the diecuts I "believe" are in a tub w-a-y up on the top shelf... I have started to clean up the huge mess I made the first three weeks of this month. Stowed MOST of my February/March pages into albums. Started to get pages BACK in my albums from making copies for my dgs's grad book. I had planned to start assembling his book yesterday, but realized that I don't have enough of the page protectors I need. Will have to wait to do that until I can get into a bigger town to get them. Could have done it on Monday when I was there for my shot, but of course didn't think of it then... Okay. Time to stop talking and staart DOING something. TTYL!

Happy Friday! It is a nice Spring day today. I took a Michael's Zoom class this afternoon. It was how to add fabric to your jeans other other clothes using Mod Podge Fabric glue. Very cool! Last Wednesday, I was apart of Zoom art sketch class I found on Meet Up. I learned to draw a rooster! LOL! It was fun and I hope to do this class every Wednesday. Yeah, I discovered a lot of free, virtual craft classes on Meet Up, Event Bright and Michaels. This will be good fun for me now. Glad it is the weekend! I want to go to Home Depo tomorrow to look for some indoor plants and one for outside my door. This will be my 1st store visit since the pandemic started!!! The garden section is outdoors so I feel a little more comfortable going there. nylene- HUGS to ya! I hope you can rest this weekend!!!

Happy Friday to all! I was so tired, I had a 2 hour nap after work today... and now I'm excited for the weekend, even tho my list of chores is long. nylene - I so hope you get the relief you deserve from this tooth! And I'm so sorry other problems have flared up all at once Hugs and prayers coming at you! kellyr21 - you are so smart to find free classes and keep growing! I am so lazy about that stuff and don't stretch myself to learn new things the way I should. I got a package from SSS today - a lawnfawn stitched sunshine die that I really and truly needed, and I added a few things from their clearance section that were a really good deal and I think I'll get use out of them. I also apparently ordered 2 embossing folders. Hmmm. Those I think were impulse. I like them. But embossing folders are something that I forget to use - so I'll have to keep these on my desk and make a challenge out of them: I won't buy anything new until I've used each one 5 times.

kellyr21 - your classes sound fun - good for you seeking them out! kitbop - naps are good! Enjoy your new goodies I think I might have most of the weekend to myself again...the girls are going horseback riding tomorrow (trail riding, with masks) and then on Sunday DH and DD14 are taking a ride in a B17 at the local airport - I might be tagging along to take pictures for that one though. But other than plugging away at the never-ending to-do list, I should have some free time to scrap - hopefully. Dh bought me a paper pad tonight at HL he thought would be fun for me to use. It DOES look fun but definitely out of my box - it's cardstock with alcohol ink designs...mixed media without the mess?

Happy Sunday! Waving hi to you all! I had a fun time at Home Depo yesterday. I love plants and flowers and have been wanting to look at some potted plants for outside and inside. Didn't buy anything but just looking. It felt great to be in a store, finally! LOL! We had a wonderful take out Japanese dinner and rested the rest of the evening. THEN, after we were sleep I heard something but I was so deep in sleep I wasn't sure if I was dreaming. Then, I woke up and I heard someone messing around with our window from outside!!!! I was so shock and woke my dh up. He went to the window and the guy was still poking around. My dh said, hey want are you doing? The dude said sorry, I thought this was my apartment! What? I was so freaked out! My dh called the police and they said the would patrol the area. This morning, Ron went out there to look at the window and the dude was trying to get the screen off but thankfully didn't succeed. We both were so upset and also grateful that is all it was. We have lived here for 15 years and never had anything like this happen. So to relax this morning, M's hosted a Zoom class with Paige Evans and I enjoyed watching her show her birthday explosion box. Good medicine and distraction. nylene- Sending you a hug! Hope you are feeling better!

Just routine things and maybe some craft table things. I do have a M's class at 5pm today. I think this one is about painting. They have lots of free classes you all should check out. Glad you are feeling more relaxed after that night time scare, kellyr21. Hope the curtains help you sleep better. Have fun at your M's class. I see you have been using some of that pretty alcohol ink paper, Linda. Are you feeling any more comfortable with it now? I am bumbling along this week, trying to tie up a bunch of loose ends. Sorting through the copied pages for dgs's grad album. Still working on getting the original pages back into albums. Meanwhile found a set of albums that I had NOT taken any pages out of for his book, so extracted those. Will need to get those to the printer. And my album shelves are full, so I need to figure out some other place to store them. If you give a gramma some photos, she will want to make a scrapbook. And if she wants to make a scrapbook, she will need to buy some paper... and more paper... and some pretties... And if she has all these photos and papers and pretties, she will want to make pages. And if she makes pages, she will need an album. And another. And another... And if she has all those albums, she will need some shelves. And then the shelves will be full, and... I hope the end of this story is not a little old lady lying on the floor under an avalanche of heavy albums...
