As I am reading about the dwindling merch at Tuesday Morning, and (as well all know) the absence of a LSS in a lot of places...I am thinking about the supplies I have and love so much. What was your BEST scrapbooking score? What did you nab, either the last of, or before everyone else got their hot little hands on it? Was it clearance? Did you get a good deal? Was it one of a kind? Where did you get it? I am totally obsessed with buffalo. I love them. I ran to TM about 2 years ago for something and found...A 25 pack(!!!) of Pink Paislee Buffalo paper for 3.99. I felt like I won the lottery! Anyhoo...how about you?

It was probably a few years back when I picked up a Big Kick at JoAnn's for $30.
It was shortly after I had heard about the cheap dies at AE, so I that was my next stop

I got an XXL Navigator for $35. They were $129 originally. It was marked $49.99 on the shelf. I took it to the front counter to make sure the price was right and she said it wasn't. Storage was an extra 30% off that week. Oh boy. I said fine and bought it. This is also the store that sold me a fully loaded 4 foot decorated tree for $75. It had over 100 glass blown ornaments on it. It was after Christmas and they were selling all of their small display trees for that amount. I heard later that the employees who sold it and undecorated it to sent it home with me got an earful. At the time, I just thought I got a great deal.

Poor employees...if it wasn't for sale at that price, etc...they should have been told. (I'm picturing my DD who would totally unload a tree for that, she would have no idea about worth, etc. She'd probably sell it for 50 lol)

Last black friday I bought an embellishment grab bag, I think from Citrus Twist. Included was the small puffy icon stickers from Shimelle's Little By Little collection from 2016. I was JUST telling my BFF that I was so sad that my package was just about gone and I would love to have another pack. I literally yelped out loud when I opened up the grab bag and saw they were included. Best day ever! (hah!)

It was right in with the rest of them. It just looked like they didn't put a sign on it. The people marking the discounts should have marked it and not left it without any price. I didn't blame them. And man, do I love this tree. So pretty.

In terms of craziest deals, two things come to mind:
1) The Lifestyle Crafts letterpress bundle at JoAnn (it included the letterpress platform, some plates, some inks, some tools AND the Epic 6 die cutting machine). I think the original price was $200 and I got it for $40. I don't do much letterpress anymore but it was my "gateway drug" to manual die cutting at a great price!
2) Last year, I found the Tonic Luxury storage bundle (the rolling tote and shoulder bag) on sale at Simon Says Stamp for $20, down from $200. I bought it immediately because I've always wanted one of those rolling totes, even though I don't currently have a need for it. I just couldn't pass up that deal!
In terms of most use:
1) Chickaniddy 12x12 foil paper. Years ago, I was browsing Amazon and I found that they had the 25-pack of Chickaniddy 12x12 solid foil paper on sale for $15. I bought three packs each of gold and silver. It is such a beautiful foil paper and die cuts like a dream. I have used it on so many different projects and still have a decent amount left, but if I could go back in time, I'd order 10 packs each! Chickaniddy is no longer around but man, that paper is amazing.
2) My Fiskars ProCision trimmer. I got it years ago from JoAnn when it was 65% off on Black Friday. Last year, it started to leave ragged edges when I cut paper. The blade is supposed to be self-sharpening and isn't replaceable, so I emailed Fiskars asking if I could somehow buy/install a replacement since I loved my trimmer. I knew they had a lifetime warranty on their products but I was happy to buy a new blade if it meant I could keep using my trimmer. They sent me a BRAND NEW trimmer, free of charge. This trimmer is $120 without a sale, so not only did I get the first one at a steal, I got a replacement when the first one didn't cut as cleanly.

I bought a cutterpillar full size on clearance for just under $50 at Hobby Lobby. I also bought the set of 5 pull out drawers from Totally Tiffany for about $7. I bought a tonic trimmer with a 6 inch base for $8 including shipping on eBay. I also bought 2 Genesis trimmers on eBay, a 24 inch one and a 12 inch one for a steal. Yes, I know I collect paper trimmers.

Probably the Zipemate diecut machine at a yardsale for $10.00. My original Sizzix worked fine, but I got sick of the constant up and down lever action. I sold it and have no regrets.

The big mega, mega, infinity mega sale at SC a couple years ago. I got a WRMK tool thing that heats up to make page protectors different sizes. I'd really love to tell you what it's called but it's escaping me at the moment. 😆
Oh, it was like way cheap.

They were a little slow to ship my replacement, but I was just so happy that all I needed to do was show a few pics of my wonky punch, and they just sent me a new one. I'm glad they stood behind the trimmer!

The big mega, mega, infinity mega sale at SC a couple years ago. Oh god I loved that sale. I was playing the put things in and out of my cart to see what it did to shipping and the shipping somehow froze so I ended up buying a couple of kits and some Jen Hadfield gold glitter scalloped washi tape for like 13 cents delivered to Australia.

Probably the thing that made me happiest are the $6.99 Project Life Core Kits from TM. I have been scrapping 12x12 PL albums the last five years and even though I know the rounded corner PL cards are not in or trendy, I have found that they are the key to keep me scrapping. I mainly use them as a foundation for my albums, though I do embellish them quite a bit, and occasionally make a card with card stock. I use a different kit each month and enjoy the easy variety they provide. I have a corner rounder that matches the cards to trim my photos. I just bought a kit the other day, though it is obvious that my two TM stores are downsizing their scrappy supplies. I have enough kits and albums on hand now to last me for at least five years!

I agree, these were really exciting! I scrap traditional 12x12, with the occasional small book thrown in for a trip or something, and never used PL cards as they were expensive and I didn't know what to do with them. When I saw them at TM, I thought what the heck and bought some. I just love them for tucking behind for another layer, or journaling, etc...and as for the rounded corners, I just cannot get away from that. Some older styles I don't love anymore, but my corner rounder is one of my most used tools.

Me, too - the full-size Minc. Including shipping, I paid $25 for it. The best part - I accidentally ordered some 10 mil laminating pouches and the Minc works on those! Most consumer-grade laminators can't handle that thickness.

Hmm... I can't think of anything. I am sure there is something. I just cannot remember anything at the moment. Not exactly related LOL , but one year I bought six $30 bras for like $39!! Someone had posted a code at the bucket and clearly a website error, but the more you put in your cart, the higher the discount! I only went for the bras though. They fixed the system soon after.

Oh, I forgot my best buy ever. My friend had an account at WRMK. She found the $29.99-$39.99 albums on sale for $2.43. They showed up regular price, but when she put them in her wholesale account cart, they went to the sale price. Together we bought over 80 of them. The shipping was about 4 bucks an album, but at that price, who cared. I still have a bunch of them.

My other score wasn't a bargain, particularly, but I had been stalking ebay and b/s/t over at Splitcoast in search of the Gnobbly Gnomes stamp set from Stampin Up. Every time I saw it, it sold for over $50, and I wasn't willing to pay that. Finally, after over a year of watching for it, someone had it up for sale at the same price it originally sold for. I snapped that baby up super fast. And then never used it!

One day I was at Michael's and they had a sign 10 for $1 at the specialty paper. I was really surprised because usually its 1 for $1. So I got all the $1.99 specialty paper for $.10. They changed the sign right away 😆.

My best score isn’t necessarily a scrapbook item, but I use it in my scrapbook room so I am going to count it. It is my 72 drawer card catalog from a local college that was 150.00.

It was crazy getting it, the guy was hell bent on getting rid of it right away and was being kind of cagey. It was December 23rd when he listed it on Craig’s List and we picked it up Christmas Eve. I was worried he had another buyer who was offering more, but I knew I had been the first to contact him, so I kept on him. We borrowed my uncle’s truck, dropped the food I had made for our family dinner off at my mom’s and off my husband and I went. It was 1.5 hours out of town in the boonies. My husband had to get two of my brother in laws to get it out of the truck and into our house! The guy actually had two and was going to turn the other into a wine rack (!). He let me check all the drawers to make sure they were all perfect and let me swap the one or two that had minor damage. He was a custodian at the college and they were just going to ditch them. It is a beautiful dark wood with the brushed nickel metal. It makes me happy every time I look at it.

It wasn't at a sale price, but I managed to score a brand new in box Making Memories paper trimmer a couple of weeks ago on Mercari. It is my favorite trimmer EVER but the paper guides on the two I had previously had both broken. Still useable, but a bit of a pain... but also my only 12x12 trimmer. But I am happy to have the new one!
I did score a bunch of Best Creations glitter paper at 90% off from a store that had just. about. every. color. It's my favorite glitter paper, and it retails for about $3 per sheet. I paid more shipping than I did for paper. LOL.
