lainey has your yarn from WW arrived now? Yes, I'm curious too lainey. I've only received half my order.
Still no sign of it

Thanks for your thoughts on the Montana. I’m not going to go any further with it. I still love the pattern and hope to do something with it but that natural yarn does not suit it. lainey and jeremysgirl I hope your packages turn up soon. That’s so disappointing when you’re looking forward to something.

I do think that natural yarn is beautiful though gillyp. I think it would make a lovely sweater.

Still no sign of it This is such a bummer. I'm leaving for vacation this morning and I'm hoping my yarn shows up while I'm gone.

JoP they asked me not to contact them again until the end of April. At that point they'll consider it lost and issue a refund.

I'm taking the Waroo shawl on vacation with me. It should keep me occupied. Also I've decided that each time I vacation I'm visiting a local yarn store and picking up yarn for a vacation shawl. I've found a good one near Gulf Shores. So if by chance (I probably won't) finish up Waroo, I'll have some new yarn to play with.

jeremysgirl have a wonderful vacation! I'm trying to figure out the direction I want to go with this quilt back. I KNOW I'm overthinking it. Should I do a checkerboard of pinwheels (all different) and solids (the same colors as the front and what's in the pinwheels) or do I do a random mixture of 28 pinwheels (because that's what I had worth of HST cut) and solids? Ugh! I LOVE LOVE LOVE pinwheels but I don't know how easy/hard it is to long arm them. AND I'm still looking for a long armer.

I, the crazy lady who decided to embroider her own drapery fabric, has finished! Here they are in my dining room. I used the same rod as my previous draperies. A closeup: It looks like more embroidery than it actually is because I only embroidered on what would be the face of each pleat. Pinch pleated draperies are made up of spaces and pleats. If the drapery is to draw, the amount in the spaces must add up to enough fabric to cover your window. If you are making stationary panels as I did, you can have a deep pleat with very little fabric in the space. I knew how much I needed to embroider to get good coverage and left the sides of each pleat and the space area empty. Since the draperies are unlined, the back is actually plain because that is the space part. More photos and details in this blog post: Ribbons and Jewels

Here's my progress report. I did decide to add the embellishment to the handle as well. I'm wondering if I need thicker/bigger reed for the rim... What's there is 1/2" but it is not too late to switch to 5/8 or even 3/4.

Ok so I've got the correct number of stitches but I'm about to start the second lace section of Waroo and the points do not line up. I don't know how this happened. I refuse to frog so I will just work out the correct stitch counts but man it's irritating.

Here are two fabric ribbon rolls I created for a class. I just love doing this. I can see myself doing this a lot. I have so many ideas for them.
