This money grab irrationally pisses me off. I scrolled her Instagram and aside from spending 2 entire months this past year in Hawaii, she is going again next week, her husband went on a golf trip, she spent 3 weeks in Italy pre-pandemic and her furnishings/hair appts/birkenstocks show that she is well off. Why do people donate to stuff like this?? I just don’t get it. There are children literally starving and she has the audacity to solicit money from strangers and suggest that they give up their Starbucks for the week. Ugh. I so want to post something snarky in her page but that isn’t me.

I wonder what would happen if someone pointed out that stated she can’t help her son, but has the money for highlights & can go on a trip to Hawaii next week. I just did and am waiting to see if she comments or just deletes it.

I keep coming back to this thread because I still cannot get over the audacity of the entitlement. There is no way that her and her husband, (oh and maybe his sisters) could chip in to help him out. What is she teaching him about responsibility and resilience? He is 30 years old. It is time to learn that actions have consequences, sometimes life kicks you in the face, but you just suck it up on go on. Let him take out a loan, (or as parents, they take out loan, and he pays it back)
My DD, at that age, was a freelance photographer. One of her large camera bags with some pretty pricy equipment was grabbed off a luggage trolley while she was loading her car. That bag was the tools of her trade. As a responsible adult, she filed a insurance claim (Yes tools of trade - insure them!). She had a deductible, which I loaned to her, and she paid it back within 60 days. She learned to be more aware and careful with her equipment, and how to solve a problem. She didn't whine about giving up, my poor mental health, poor me. She put on her big girl panties and solved a problem. And my annual income has never exceeded what MRA pays for her mortgage per year.
I wish I had the guts to post a snarky comment on her insta account. I need a counterfeit insta account for that. Has anyone designed a grifter emoji yet?

I just checked and basketdiva 's comment has been deleted. It appears I wasn't blocked for liking it though! I’m sure she’s scrubbed her IG of any comments that aren’t “positive.” She’s probably been very busy doing damage control. LOL |

She designed for Authentique, Pink Paisley, and had her own paper company for a while. She was a frequent teacher at CKU, pals with Ali, Heidi, Becky, Lizzie and the rest of the golden girls of scrapbooking. She runs her own creative retreat now called 'Spark". Think of all the royalties she got over the year from each piece of paper you bought, each metal embellishment (assuming you were a scrapbooker). |
