HE lie to the FBI... Missouri couple who had boasted on Facebook of being "the first ones in" to the U.S. Capitol on January 6 has plead guilty to remaining unlawfully in the building they told FBI agents they hadn't entered. Kelsey Leigh Ann Wilson -- then a first-grade teacher -- and her husband Zachary Wilson entered their guilty pleas Monday and await December 7 sentencing. Zachary Wilson had been arrested in February, but Kelsey Wilson hadn't been booked until six months later. Here's how it was reported at the Kansas City Star: FBI investigators interviewed Kelsey and Zachary Wilson on Jan. 18 at their home in Springfield, the documents said. During the interview, both said they had been on the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6 but denied entering the building. An FBI agent interviewed Zachary Wilson a second time at his home on Jan. 20, according to the documents. Zachary Wilson then admitted entering the Capitol building but said his wife did not go inside. But a coworker of Kelsey Wilson who accompanied them to Washington D.C. was interviewed by FBI agents and said the two had gone into the Capitol for 30 minutes. She shared a photo of Kelsey Wilson "wearing a black, white and gold beanie, white pants, a gray long-sleeved shirt and a 'Keep America Great Again' pro-Trump flag wrapped around her body," the FBI reported. It was Kelsey Wilson's position as a first-grade teacher that had drawn the most attention when she arrested. At the time, the attorney said she expected to lose her new job at Dayspring Christian School in Springfield, Missouri. She was put on administrative leave and, as of Tuesday, the school told reporters she was no longer employed there. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-guilty-plea/

Pleaded down... U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan on Tuesday said that some Capitol rioters "morphed into terrorists" on January 6th during a hearing for a defendant who threatened to murder House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, according to NBC 4 Washington reporter Scott MacFarlane. During a plea hearing for MAGA rioter Dawn Bancroft, Sullivan zeroed in on her statement that she broke into the Capitol building to find Pelosi and "shoot her in the frigging brain." Bancroft admitted to making the statement, and Sullivan questioned prosecutors why they did not charge her with making a threat against Pelosi's life. Bancroft, for her part, told Sullivan that she made the remark while she was leaving the Capitol in a "jovial" manner, although she admitted that it was still a "dumb" thing to say. It was shortly after this that Sullivan said many of the rioters had "morphed into terrorists" as they stormed the Capitol.Bancroft pleaded guilty this week to a low-level misdemeanor related to the breach of the Capitol. Her sentencing will occur next year, Sullivan ruled. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-nancy-pelosi/

Another teammate was there as well as the father who fucking drove them up there. The teammate was supposed to join the Navy. I hope that was stopped. And his dad works for NAVAIR - I hope he loses his job. If he doesn’t he’ll be out of a job in October when he refuses to get the vax and the govt terminates him. Good riddance fuckers.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents have arrested a mother and her son who allegedly entered Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office during the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol, the HuffPost reported Friday. "Maryann Mooney-Rondon and Rafael Rondon were arrested on Friday, a law enforcement official told HuffPost. The two arrestees ― whom online sleuths working under the #SeditionHunters moniker nicknamed 'AirheadLady' and 'AirheadBoy' because the pair emerged from the Capitol wearing stolen emergency escape hoods ― will face a host of federal charges," Ryan J. Reilly reported. **** Video from inside Pelosi's office shows Mooney-Rondon disconnecting a laptop from attached cables before someone else grabbed the computer. On Jan. 6, Mooney-Rondon was wearing a metallic ring on her thumb, and photos on Facebook show her wearing a thumb ring," HuffPost reported. www.rawstory.com/rafael-rondon-maryann-mooney-rondon/

Oops.... FBI GOOFED!! On the surface, it was a pretty solid lead. After Hundreds Of Arrests In Sprawling Capitol Hunt, The FBI Just Made A Pretty Big Mistake The bureau searched the home of an Alaskan Trump supporter they mistook for the woman who grabbed a laptop from Nancy Pelosi's office. By Ryan J. Reilly 05/07/2021 12:02 PM ET Marilyn Hueper looks a lot like FBI suspect No. 225 on the bureau’s extensive wanted list for the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. They’re about the same age, with similar hair and similar taste in black jackets. Marilyn Hueper and her husband, Paul Hueper, were indeed on the grounds of the Capitol on Jan. 6 to support former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Like millions of Trump supporters, the Alaska couple believed Trump’s lies about a stolen election and thought they were part of a “righteous revolution to take back our country,” as Paul Hueper wrote on Instagram. The duo, according to the FBI, was also banned from Alaska Airlines for refusing to follow mask regulations on Feb. 17. *** In addition to closely examining the publicly available Instagram image, federal authorities might have been able to rule Marilyn Hueper out as No. 225 by crosschecking her cell phone against the government’s list of unauthorized cell phones inside the Capitol building or information they’ve obtained via search warrants for social media and tech companies. In other Capitol cases, authorities have been able to pinpoint suspect’s locations within a few meters. m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_60930634e4b0c15313fbe48f/amp?__twitter_impression=true

Oh my, he cried, no he sobbed and he was taken away without his belt and shoelaces...... On Tuesday, WUSA9 reported that Robert Palmer, a man from Tampa, Florida who pleaded guilty to attacking Capitol Police with a fire extinguisher at the January 6 Capitol riot while dressed in a red, white, and blue Trump jacket, was in tears at his sentencing hearing, while his defense attorney expressed his client's regret for participating in the attack. "Palmer told the US District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan he was the one identified in Department of Justice images who threw a wooden plank at police, sprayed a fire extinguisher at officers until it was empty, then threw the empty fire extinguisher canister at the line of police. "Before his court hearing, Palmer was not acting as tough as the man in DOJ photos, sobbing onto the shoulder of his defense attorney Bjorn Brunvand moments before the two men entered the court for Palmer to plead guilty to felony assault on law enforcement." According to the report, Brunvand said of Palmer's breakdown, "That was Mr. Palmer being remorseful for what he did on January 6th. And also, afraid of what's to come." youtu.be/xt5IGZvAzcMwww.rawstory.com/capitol-rioter-robert-palmer/

Does having a change of heart help with the judge? We shall see..... On Tuesday, NBC4 Washington reporter Scott MacFarlane, a key authority on the trials of January 6 Capitol rioters, reported that Dona Bissey, who is accused of joining the mob breaking into the Capitol, is pleading for leniency in a hand-written letter to the court, asking for a sentence of just 18 months probation. In the letter, Bissey, who hails from southern Indiana, described herself as a "God fearing, country loving, law abiding, hard working Patriot who "attended several of Pres. Trump's events without incident." She says that after her role in the insurrection became public, her hair salon suffered "huge losses" and she is being "shunned" by the people in her small town. This attitude is a break from Bissey's prior social media posts detailed in the federal complaint, in which she stated, "Best f**king day ever!! I'll never forget. We got into the Capitol Building" and "It was a day I'll remember forever. .. I'm proud to be a part of it."www.rawstory.com/maga-rioter-begs-for-mercy/

Big haul for. DOJ The leader of the "Walk Away" social media movement that encouraged voters to leave the Democratic Party will be sharing his private social media messages with federal investigators as part of a plea agreement. Former New York City hairstylist Brandon Straka, 44, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge after he videotaped his actions at the Capitol on January 6th. Prior to the breaching of the Capitol by Trump supporters seeking to overturn the election, Straka spoke at the "Stop the Steal" rally where Trump spoke. Your client agrees to allow law enforcement agents to have copies of any social media accounts, postings, videos, or photos that your client still has access to and to be willing to allow law enforcement to interview your client regarding the events in and around January 6, 2021 prior to entry of a guilty plea," reads the "Cooperation with Additional Investigation" section of his plea agreement. Straka is facing up to six months in prison and has agreed to pay $500 in restitution. "Straka, who launched the #WalkAway social media campaign, promoted himself as a gay former liberal and has encouraged voters to leave the Democratic Party. He amassed more than 550,000 Twitter followers and became a Fox News contributor after posting a viral video in May 2018 describing why he left the Democratic Party," The Washington Post reported. According to charging documents, on January 7th Straka posted a 59-minute video to his Twitter account discussing the events of the day. U.S. District Judge Dabney L. Not me, I wasn't there! And yes the bloody picture is in the article. "Michael Dickinson, 29, was identified by a tipster leading the FBI to Prince George's Hospital outside Washington D.C. where he had gone for treatment for facial injuries, the FBI report indicates. The bureau also obtained footage from a second tipster and bleeding from the face. The FBI stated it had obtained Dickinson's medical records from the hospital indicating that Dickinson "informed medical personnel that he was at the rally in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021, and that he had been struck by what he believed to be a rubber bullet. The records specified numerous facial injuries." The report cited video footage showing Dickinson "throwing an object resembling a coffee tumbler at police" and that it "strikes a law enforcement officer in the face/chest." The report said additional video shows Dickinson "picking up an object that appears to be a large bucket filled with a liquid and throwing the liquid and the bucket at law enforcement officers." *** They only tell you about the bad stuff,' the uncle told Philly Mag. 'They don't tell you about when he actually helped a female officer who was on the ground being attacked. Nobody cares about that, including the government. Nobody cares about the truth. I bet you won't put that in your article. Write whatever you want.' (Philly Mag was unable to corroborate the uncle's account of the incident with the female officer.) Picking them off, one at a time... Although this guy was not arrested at this time. FBI raids home of Proud Boys' Philadelphia chapter leader as part of Capitol riot-related probe: report Sky Palma October 11, 2021 The vice president the of Philadelphia chapter of the Proud Boys had his home in Newark, Delaware, raided by then FBI this Friday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Aaron Whallon Wolkind, 37, had his computer, phone, and other electronics seized by federal agents who were looking for evidence related to the alleged planning of the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Although Wolkind was handcuffed during the raid, he was not arrested or charged. According to Wolkind's lawyer, Jonathon Moseley, agents "took all of his computer and computer devices and phones, including an old broken phone." "The search warrant permitted agents to seize records and information related to people who 'collaborated, conspired, or assisted,' or 'communicated about matters' including their whereabouts, during the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, or the 'legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election,' the filing says. They could also collect 'clothing items' associating Wolkind with the Proud Boys, it said. The offenses cited on the warrant are the same criminal charges Rehl is facing," the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. www.rawstory.com/fbi-proud-boys-raid/

Those videos will get you every time!! Although this present gun case is separate from the Jan 6th case ... 'I know I messed up': Bail bondsman Capitol rioter sentenced to 18 months on gun charges John Wright October 13, 2021 A Florida bail bondsman facing charges in the Capitol insurrection was sentenced to 18 months in prison Wednesday for separate gun charges. When FBI agents searched 40-year-old Adam Avery Honeycutt's home in February, they found four handguns, three rifles, 5,000 rounds of ammunition, and marijuana, First Coast News reported. Honeycutt, who reportedly goes by the nickname "Bundy," was charged under a federal law that prohibits gun ownership by anyone who is "an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance." During a court appearance on Wednesday, Honeycutt told Senior District Judge Harvey Schlesinger, "I know I messed up. I was wrong," Jacksonville's Channel 4 reports. Honeycutt, a former bail bondsman who will now lose his license, faced a minimum of 30 months in prison based on the charges, but Judge Schlesinger chose to reduce the sentence based on positive letters from the community along with the fact that he contracted COVID-19 and was attacked in a county jail during his time in custody," the station reports. *** Honeycutt is expected to appear in court in January on misdemeanor charges stemming from the Capitol insurrection. Investigators said that multiple confidential sources reported photos and videos that Honeycutt posted on his Facebook page showing him at the Capitol during the riot," Channel 4 reports. "One photo shows a gloved hand holding a broken piece of furniture with a sticker reading 'U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms.' According to court documents, there is also a video recorded outside the Capitol where he said, 'It's about to go down!' Another video recorded inside the Capitol shows him saying, 'Well, made it in,' court documents show." Honeycutt later downplayed his role in the insurrection, claiming he was "not part of the violence" and was "at the food truck when the sh*t hit the fan." First Coast News reported that Honeycutt, the owner of Buddy's Bail Bonds in Port Charlotte, had dozens of previous charges against him in Charlotte County. www.rawstory.com/i-know-i-messed-up-bail-bondsman-capitol-rioter-sentenced-to-18-months-on-gun-charges/

The cousins were arrested... Trump-loving cousins 'clearly celebrated' the Capitol riot – now they’re headed to prison Travis Gettys October 13, 2021 A federal judge sentenced two cousins for going inside the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan sentenced cousins Robert Bauer, of Kentucky, and Edward Hemenway, of Virginia, to 45 days in prison and ordered them each to pay $500 in restitution and serve 60 hours of community service, reported the Courier-Journal. The judge noted that neither man had assaulted police officers during the riot, they took photographs of themselves inside the building and "clearly celebrated" their presence there."There has to be consequences," Chutkan said, "[for trying to] disrupt the peaceful transfer of power." The 44-year-old Bauer, whose wife attended the "Stop the Steal" rally but did not go the Capitol, spoke at his sentencing and told the judge that he understood the seriousness of his actions after returning to his cousin's home and watching TV coverage of the riot. "We didn't see everything that went on that day," Bauer said. "When I saw...all that chaos and all that violence, that's when I realized the true gravity of it."www.rawstory.com/robert-bauer/

Capitol rioter joined Army AFTER participating Jan 6th!! Maybe he thought he could hide in the Army?!? Is it embarrassing to be arrested in front of your new Army buddies at Ft Bragg? An active-duty soldier has been arrested at Fort Bragg on charges that he participated in the Capitol insurrection. Spc. James Phillip Mault, 29, of Brockport, New York, joined the Army in May, the Fayetteville Observer reports. Mault is accused of spraying a chemical agent at police who were attempting to stop a mob of Capitol rioters from entering the building on Jan. 6, according to a newly unsealed criminal complaint. Col. Joe Buccino, a Fort Bragg spokesman, confirmed that Mault was arrested at the base on Oct. 6. According to the Fayetteville Observer, Buccino said "it was important to note that Mault joined the Army in May, several months after the incident."www.rawstory.com/military-capitol-riot/

New video with 'zip tie guy' and mom entering the Capitol !!! Their talk and threats prove they are far from innocent. They were determined and they made threats. 'We ain't playing nice no more!' New video shows ‘zip-tie guy’ Capitol rioter storming building with his motherJohn Wright October 14, 2021 A newly released video shows "zip-tie guy" Capitol rioter Erik Munchel and his mother making their way through a crowd of insurrectionists as they entered the building and proceeded upstairs to the Senate chamber on Jan. 6. The 50-minute video, taken from a cellphone attached to the front of Munchel's vest, was recently unsealed by a federal judge, the Tennessean reports. "(I'm going to) take my weapons off before I go in there," Munchel can be heard telling his mother, Lisa Marie Eisenhart, as they stand outside the Capitol, in a montage from the video published by the newspaper. But apparently Munchel never did so, because later in the video as they approach the Capitol he says, "This is probably the last time I'll be able to enter the building with armor and weapons."Munchel is accused of carrying a taser inside the Capitol, and he and Eisenhart wore tactical military gear. At one point, Eisenhart can be heard telling her son, "This sh*t is on the news, that guy was saying." "Oh yeah, duh," Munchel responds. "They are going to use this against us as hard as they can. But we ain't playing f*cking nice no godd*mn more." "I guess they thought we were playing," Munchel yells later in the video. "This is our godd*mn country!"As Munchel and Eisenhart push their way through the crowd, one fellow rioter announces that "Congress is shut down." *** "Oh my God. That is one of my best days to know that they got tear-gassed," Eisenhart says. *** "We're proud Americans," Munchel adds. *** After they enter the Capitol, Munchel appears to have second thoughts. "What's your goal here, mom?" he says. After they walk upstairs and head down a hallway, Munchel can be heard telling other rioters, "Don't vandalize anything, or y'all are Antifa." Then Munchel discovers a pile of zip ties that would result in iconic photos from the insurrection showing him hopping over seats in the Senate gallery while carrying a handful of the plastic tactical handcuffs. "Zip ties! I'm gonna get me some of them motherf*ckers!" Munchel says in the video, as both he and Eisenhart grab some of the restraints. Munchel has said he picked up the handcuffs after a Capitol police left them behind, but prosecutors allege he could have used them to take lawmakers hostage. After they enter the Senate gallery, Munchel can be heard shouting, "I want that f*cking gavel!" *** www.rawstory.com/zip-tie-guy-capitol-riot-video/

This is disgusting ... Sad ... Unbelievable.... Capitol cop indicted for obstruction of justice after he allegedly tipped off MAGA rioter on FacebookBrad Reed October 15, 2021 A veteran of the Capitol Police has been indicted for obstructing justice after he allegedly tipped off a Trump supporter on Facebook and advised him to take down photos he posted of himself at the MAGA riot. Via Law and Crime's Adam Klasfeld, a newly unsealed indictment charges that U.S. Capitol Police Office Michael Angelo Riley went on Facebook the day after the Capitol riots and advised an unidentified rioter to remove photos he'd posted of himself at the siege. "Hey I'm a Capitol Police officer who agrees with your political stance," Riley allegedly wrote. "Take down the part about being in the building they are currently investigating and everyone who was in the building is going to be charged. Just looking out!" Prosecutors say that this was the first time that Riley and the rioter had been in contact one another, although Riley mysteriously sent the rioter a friend request days earlier. According to prosecutors, both Riley and the rioter "were avid fisherman and members of fishing-related Facebook groups." www.rawstory.com/capitol-police-officer-indicted/

Another bragger!! New court documents filed in the case of alleged MAGA rioter Cody Mattice this week shed new light on how both he and his family viewed the siege on the United States Capitol as it was happening. In one particularly telling exchange flagged by NBC 4 Washington reporter Scott MacFarlane, Mattice sent out a text message to his aunt, Rebecca Evert, in which he boasted of his exploits in fighting with law enforcement officers at the Capitol. Specifically, Mattice informed Evert via a text message that he and his allies "fought off like 4 or 5 cops and stand f*cking victorious." Mattice then told Evert that he "also maced a cop." "Awesomeness!" Evert replied. "I'm trying to find you in the breach videos... what are you wearing?" U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell apparently found these messages to be incriminating, as MacFarlane reports that he subsequently ordered Mattice back to pretrial detention even though he had hoped to be granted release. *** www.rawstory.com/cody-mattice-capitol-riot/

Consequences DO happen.... To think he had civilian secret security clearance and worked on a military base.. The U.S. Army demoted reservist Timothy Hale-Cusanelli from sergeant to private and gave him an other-than-honorable discharge after a dozen years of service, The Washington Post reported Wednesday. "An Army reservist charged in the Justice Department's sweeping investigation of the U.S. Capitol riot was quietly demoted and discharged earlier this year, becoming the first known service member to be forced out of the military after officials learned of an alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection," the newspaper reported, citing personnel records reviewed and the former soldier's lawyer. Crisp called the punitive discharge, which severely limits benefits and resources otherwise available to military veterans, 'improper' because, he said, it was delivered while Hale-Cusanelli was incarcerated and because any comments made in the former soldier's defense could violate his 5th Amendment rights in the federal case," the newspaper reported. "Typically, commanders wait until criminal cases are finished before making discharge decisions, Crisp said." *** At the time of his arrest, Hale-Cusanelli, who remains in federal custody, according to the Justice Department, was employed as a civilian security contractor at Naval Weapons Station Earle in New Jersey and held a secret security clearance, prosecutors said in a March court filing," the newspaper reported. "Navy investigators interviewed 44 of his colleagues, including Navy personnel and fellow security contractors, about his behavior at work. All but 10 described Hale-Cusanelli as 'having extremist or radical views pertaining to the Jewish people, minorities and women,' prosecutors said." Multiple colleagues mentioned Hale-Cusanelli's "Hitler mustache" to investigators.
"Among them was a supervisor, who said Hale-Cusanelli was admonished because of it," the newspaper reported. "One sailor told investigators that he heard Hale-Cusanelli say that if he were a Nazi, 'he would kill all the Jews and eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and he wouldn't need to season them because the salt from their tears would make it flavorful enough,' according to the court filing." www.rawstory.com/capitol-insurrectionist-timothy-hale-cusanelli/

Trump supporter gets harsher sentence than DOJ recommended after making 'offensive' argument to judge Brad Reed October 21, 2021 A judge on Thursday slapped a Trump supporter with a harsher sentence than what the Department of Justice asked for after making what the judge described as an "offensive" argument. BuzzFeed News reports that Troy Smocks, a Black Trump supporter who encouraged his fellow Trump fans to "prepare our weapons" and "go hunting" for Democrats on right-wing social media website Parler, was sentenced to 14 months in prison by US District Judge Tanya Chutkan. Smocks tried to argue to Chutkan, who is also Black, that he is being treated unfairly due to the color of his skin. "Smocks told Chutkan that he believed he had been treated more harshly than white Trump supporters who were charged with misdemeanor crimes for going into the Capitol," writes BuzzFeed. "He claimed to be the only Black person charged in connection with Jan. 6 to face pretrial detention, but Chutkan noted that wasn't true." Smocks travelled to Washington D.C. on January 6th but was not charged with taking part in the Capitol riots. Smocks then compared himself to civil rights protesters in the 1960s who were arrested for protesting against segregation -- and at this point, Chutkan stepped in and said his arguments were "offensive." "People died fighting for civil rights, people were gassed, they were beaten, they were tortured mentally and physically," Chutkan told him. "For you to hold yourself up as a soldier in that fight is really quite audacious." www.rawstory.com/trump-supporter-sentenced/

Ok now.... He also outed himself... One of the men arrested for storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 is proclaiming that the whole event was a fraud and that Ashli Babbitt doesn't even exist, legal expert Marcy Wheeler said, citing the court documents.Philip James Weisbecker outed himself on Facebook after posting an interview between Glenn Greenwald and Fox News personality Tucker Carlson that showed photos and videos of the attack along the right side of the screen. One of those people appeared to be Weisbecker. He took a screen capture of the photo of himself on screen with the caption, "If you would like to know the truth... just ask."But the indictment took a different turn when Weisbecker began spouting conspiracy theories that former President Donald Trump is still in office and that Ashli Babbit doesn't even exist."WEISBECKER talked about Ashli Babbitt, who was supposedly shot in the U.S. Capitol and was from O.B. (Ocean Beach)," the indictment reads. "WEISBECKER said she did not exist as he knew everyone from that area, and that he has asked his friends, and no one knew her. WEISBECKER asked where her [Ashli Babbitt's] funeral was. He stated it had not been here [San Diego] so she [Ashli Babbitt] was not from here [San Diego]. WEISBECKER said Babbitt was not actually her last name." www.rawstory.com/insurrectionist-says-ashli-babbitt-fake/

She lied, yes she lied big time, and got away with it!! Any doubts, there is a video with the article! So sweet and innocent. Capitol rioter Anna Morgan-Lloyd, an Indiana grandmother, delivered a tearful apology to a federal judge before she was sentenced to probation in June.A day later, Morgan-Lloyd appeared on Laura Ingraham's Fox News program and downplayed the riot — saying she did not believe it was an "insurrection." Now, Morgan-Lloyd's attorney claims her client was "genuinely remorseful" for her actions, but got "played" by Ingraham and Fox News, according to a report from Washington's WUSA Channel 9. Before her sentencing, Morgan-Lloyd wrote a letter to the judge saying she was "ashamed that something meant to show support for the President had turned violent." Then, she told Ingraham of the riot, "If anybody bumped into anybody, it was, 'Excuse me,' and people were very polite. Nobody was breaking anything, and it was calm enough that people were actually walking out of the Capitol building that worked there and they had no fear on their faces." WUSA-TV notes that Morgan-Lloyd's Fox News interview "was widely viewed as evidence that Morgan-Lloyd had only feigned acceptance of responsibility to get a lighter sentence, and federal judges have repeatedly referenced it in court," as CNN reported in August. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-court-hearing-2655429869/She lied! Her lie is being 'brought up' during other cases... Don't you have to behave while on probation, or you can be incarcerated? Not sure?!?!?

Funny..... Trump-appointed judge smacks down MAGA rioters who said going to DC for sentencing would be 'financial burden' John Wright October 28, 2021 A Trump-appointed federal judge has rejected a request from two Capitol insurrectionists to be sentenced via video, as Reuters reporter Jan Wolfe notes that the two had claimed traveling to Washington, D.C. would represent a "financial burden.""Defendants found the means to travel to Washington, D.C. to commit the crime to which they have pled guilty," U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden wrote in his order Thursday. "Defendants can therefore find the means to return to Washington, D.C. to be held accountable for this crime."McFadden was nominated by former Donald Trump to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in 2017. Politico reporter Kyle Cheney observed that McFadden "has been comparatively less hostile toward 1/6 defendants than other federal judges in DC," adding that Thursday's order was a "notable rejoinder."www.rawstory.com/capitol-rioters-sentencing/
