The Bible or the Constitution as ultimate law of the land - you know which one most of the 1/6 traitors are going to pick: "A court hearing for a January 6 defendant quickly turned contentious Monday after an actor and Oath Keeper tried to reject the United States' authority over him. James Beeks, who played Judas in the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" before his arrest last week for his alleged participation in the January 6 riot, prompted the judge to consider sending him to jail after telling the court he had "divine" authority and arguing the government had no jurisdiction over him. "That's all gobbledygook," Chief Judge Beryl Howell of the DC District Court said. "Mr. Beeks, you should be quiet unless spoken to." Beeks' outbursts parroted the Sovereign Citizen movement -- a belief that government institutions are fraudulent and thus followers do not have to abide by them -- though Beeks told Howell the term 'Sovereign Citizen' was an "insult" and an "oxymoron." Schiff: January 6 committee decision on criminal contempt charges for Mark Meadows could come this week Schiff: January 6 committee decision on criminal contempt charges for Mark Meadows could come this week Beeks spoke for himself for most of the hearing after originally saying he would not act as his own lawyer since "I cannot represent myself because I am myself." Prior to the hearing, the Justice Department was not requesting that Beeks be kept in jail while awaiting trial. That changed, however, after Beeks asserted his "divine" authority. "A defendant who rejects the jurisdiction of the court...rejects the rule of law," Howell said, "is typically not released pre-trial," though the judge eventually released Beeks on GPS monitoring when he finally agreed -- after speaking privately with his lawyer -- to cooperate. Jan. 6 Organizer Ali Alexander Served With Lawsuit After Eight-Hour Deposition www.thedailybeast.com/ali-alexander-served-with-lawsuit-after-eight-hour-deposition-before-house-jan-6-committee"Jan. 6 organizer and “Stop the Steal” leader Ali Alexander appeared Thursday morning at a federal office building to be deposed by the House select committee tasked with investigating the Capitol riot. By the end of Alexander’s eight-hour closed-door deposition, he left with more legal troubles on his hands than when he arrived—as two eager process servers affiliated with the same legal matter stood ready to hand-deliver him documents after he emerged from the deposition. “Mr. Alexander, I have a summons for you. I have a summons for you,” one of the process servers said. “Please know this is a valid service of process.”"

I wish they would stop publicizing "how" they found these people. Next time, they will all wear white jumpsuits with no identifying logos and wear masks so they cannot be identified through facial recognition (already saw that in a recent march in D.C.). I'm sure they will all use burner phones the next time as well to make sure they can't be tracked via cellular data.
They were stupid last time. They won't be as dumb the next time, and this kind of information will just make it easier for them to get away with it.

Another former cop... Ex-cop gets prison time for Capitol riot charge after breaking down in tears at sentencing hearing: report Bob Brigham December 10, 2021 Former Houston Police Officer Tam Dinh Pham was sentenced to 45 days in prison for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Pham, who was turned in by his own police chief, told FBI agents he was inside the Capitol for 15 minutes where "he looked at the historical art on the walls and took photographs and videos inside." *** "I’m so sorry for what I did. I made the worst choice of my life. I didn’t plan to go into the Capitol. I stupidly followed people in there," Pham told the judge, according to WUSA-TV correspondent Eric Flack, who said the former police officer was "in tears." The day I was on TV (after his arrest) my sister in Vietnam called and said the whole village watched me. I lost my reputation and my career and brought shame on my family, especially my children. I dishonored my department," Pham said. www.rawstory.com/tam-pham-sentenced-prison/

Oath keeper throwing another under the bus .. Oath Keepers founder squeals to the FBI about Capitol riot — throwing a key member under the bus John Wright December 10, 2021 Rhodes also blamed Kelly Meggs — who's accused of being one of the Oath Keepers' "team leaders" during the Jan. 6 insurrection — for "making a bad decision like entering the Capitol." Bensinger reports that Rhodes "threw Kelly Meggs, a Floridian who only recently joined the Oath Keepers, under the bus. He only accepted responsibility for 'appointing Kelly Meggs to a leadership position.'" "It's notable (because) nothing has been known of that interview or whether the FBI is targeting Rhodes, who was in communication (with) the defendants on Jan. 6 and outside the Capitol, but has not been charged," Bensinger reported. "The disclosure ... makes it clear that (Rhodes) wants to wash his hands of the whole affair, claiming that neither he nor 'Person Ten' — his deputy for Jan. 6 activities — had anything to do with storming the Capitol." www.rawstory.com/oath-keepers-fbi-interview/

"The graphic messages illustrated the dismay of the former President's inner circle as the Capitol riot worsened, and they served as evidence of Trump's "supreme dereliction of duty," the committee's vice chairwoman, Republican Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, said Monday. Those texts, as several members of the committee noted, were already turned over to the panel and are not covered by any claim of privilege -- which Meadows has continued to assert since reversing his decision to cooperate with the investigation."
"In a third, 'Mark, protesters are literally storming the Capitol, breaking windows on doors, rushing in. Is Trump going to say something?' A fourth, 'There's an armed standoff at the House chamber door.' And another from someone inside the Capitol: 'We are all helpless.'..
Cheney continued: "Donald Trump Jr. texted again and again, urging action by the President. Quote, 'We need an Oval Office address. He has to lead now. It has gone too far. And gotten out of hand,' end quote. But hours passed without necessary action by the President," Cheney said....
The committee informed Meadows last week that it had "no choice" but to advance criminal contempt proceedings against him given that he had decided to no longer cooperate with its investigation.
"Mr. Meadows started by doing the right thing -- cooperating. He handed over records that he didn't try to shield behind some excuse," Thompson said on Monday.
"But in an investigation like ours, that's just a first step. When the records raise questions -- as these most certainly do -- you have to come in and answer those questions. And when it was time for him to follow the law, come in, and testify on those questions, he changed his mind and told us to pound sand. He didn't even show up.""
That unnamed lawmaker needs to be charged with treason, sedition, something. Working to circumvent the LEGAL PROCESS on election certification is treasonous.

I cannot tell you how much I loved the sight of Liz Cheney reading those texts aloud. Everyone should do themselves a favor and watch it. She really adds a lot to the committee. She knows how to fight. **Disclaimer: This is not an endorsement of Cheney as a politician.

As expected, FOX is not covering it. Of course not. Chris Wallace just left, so now there is not one qualified journalist in the Fox realm. As an entertainment channel (this is how they defend themselves in lawsuits), they are not obligated to report anything remotely factual. Do they have weather? Maybe a meteorologist might have a fraction of scruples.

If you enjoy podcasts, Robert Evans released a new one called "The assault on America" that goes in-depth into the Jan 6 insurrection. It's quite good.

You can’t get any more slap on the wrist than that. Come on, It was more than just trespassing, give these people real consequences. I’m pretty sure if drove down right now to the state house & broke in I’d get more than 45 days in jail. These sentences are killing me with their lack of severity. I just don’t get it. Am I the only one wtf over these sentences?

No, not at all. Breaking and entering is serious business. Assaulting ordinary people is a major crime. Assaulting a police officer is JAIL/PRISON. Not 45 days, not 41 months, not 5 years...

But, but I want change of venue... In at least some of the cases, filings by defendants suggest that people in their hometowns are indeed aware of the Capitol riot. One defendant who has already been sentenced, Dona Bissey of Indiana, told the judge that people have "shunned" her in her hometown — and her hair salon has seen a loss of business. www.rawstory.com/capitol-rioter-trial-2656048008/

Maybe consequences for their actions on Jan 6 imposed by community members will have a bigger impact.

I've thought about this a bit .. depending on where they are from, what if they are from an area that thinks they were just tourists.. but then more people would see the videos who have not seen them on FOX/OANN .. It could go either way.. aj2hall @zingermack

IMO this sounds like treason. ""On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all -- in accordance with guidance from founding father Alexander Hamilton and judicial precedence. 'No legislative act,' wrote Alexander Hamilton in Federalist No. 78, 'contrary to the Constitution, can be valid.' The court in Hubbard v. Lowe reinforced this truth: 'That an unconstitutional statute is not a law at all is a proposition no longer open to discussion.' 226 F. 135, 137 (SDNY 1915), appeal dismissed, 242 U.S. 654 (1916). Following this rationale, an unconstitutionally appointed elector, like an unconstitutionally enacted statute, is no elector at all."The text from Jordan is another example of the intense pressure campaign put on Pence by Trump supporters to act on unproven legal theories as a last-ditch effort to prevent the certification of the election results. It was pressure Pence ultimately rejected. During his presentation, Schiff argued the text was evidence that Meadows was at the center of this pressure campaign and that the committee needed to ask him questions about the substance of the text and what he did with the information. " www.cnn.com/2021/12/15/politics/jim-jordan-mark-meadows-text/index.html THE ELECTORS WERE NOT 'UNCONSTITUTIONALLY APPOINTED' and Jim Jordan is a traitor, imo.

Is the Jim Jordan text one of those that were read on Monday with the name of the GOP member redacted? Or is this a whole new text?
I really wish we could lock these folks up when they clearly plotted a coup. The wheels of justice feel like they're bogged down with molasses. If we don't have some very real consequences soon, the midterms could finish us off for good.

Not long, but 63 months, over five years!! Cop-assaulting MAGA rioter gets longest January 6th prison sentence yetBrad Reed December 17, 2021 Robert Scott Palmer, a Florida man who assaulted Capitol Police during the January 6 Capitol attack, got slapped with a five-year prison sentence on Friday, the longest sentence handed out yet in cases related to the deadly Trump-incited riots. NBC News reports that the 54-year-old Palmer was sentenced to 63 months in prison for assaulting multiple officers during the January 6th riots. "Prosecutors said he threw a wooden plank the police, then picked up a fire extinguisher and sprayed its contents at a line of officers, throwing the canister at them after it was empty," writes NBC News. "A few minutes later, prosecutors said, he picked up the fire extinguisher and threw it at them a second time and assaulted another group of officers with a metal pole, throwing it like a spear."Palmer earlier this week made a bid for leniency when he expressed regret for his actions and blamed former President Donald Trump for lying to his supporters about a "stolen" election. www.rawstory.com/capitol-rioter-sentence-2656063330/

Dangerous,... 'I'm calling for violence -- I will be violent!' Prosecutors play damning video of MAGA rioter during court hearingBrad Reed December 20, 2021 Federal prosecutors on Monday played damning video of accused MAGA rioter Ryan Nichols while arguing that he should not be released ahead of his trial. As reported by NBC 4 Washington's Scott MacFarlane, prosecutors played a video that was filmed in the immediate aftermath of the January 6th Capitol riots in which Nichols made about as explicit call for violence as it is possible to make. "I'm calling for violence -- I will be violent!" Nichols said after the riots. "I've been peaceful and my vote didn't count." Nichols also bragged about his role in temporarily stopping Congress from certifying President Joe Biden's 2020 electoral victory. "We shut down the vote today because those coward ass politicians ran into the tunnels," he said, according to MacFarlane. "I've seen the last of you treasonous bastard politicians... give me liberty or give me death... I'm prepared to f*cking die for this. I took an oath against all enemies foreign or domestic. But I plan to have others die first." We shut down the vote today because those coward ass politicians ran into the tunnels," he said, according to MacFarlane. "I've seen the last of you treasonous bastard politicians... give me liberty or give me death... I'm prepared to f*cking die for this. I took an oath against all enemies foreign or domestic. But I plan to have others die first." Earlier in the hearing, Judge Hogan warned Nichols's attorney, Joseph McBride, against peddling false claims about January 6th being a "false flag" operation in his court. McBride earlier this year went on Tucker Carlson's show and falsely claimed that a man wearing red face paint spotted at the Capitol riots was clearly a government official who deliberately stoked violence to entrap Trump supporters. "He is clearly a law enforcement officer," McBride claimed. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-hearing-2656077668/

Another crack in the wall... Proud Boy pleads guilty to conspiracy charge in January 6th case that has major implications for other riotersBrad Reed December 22, 2021 A member of the Proud Boys who took part in the January 6th Capitol riots has pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in a case that has major implications for other Capitol rioters. As reported by NBC 4 Washington's Scott MacFarlane, 34-year-old Proud Boy Matthew Greene of Syracuse, New York pleaded guilty both to conspiracy and obstructing an official congressional proceeding. "Prosecutors accused Greene of 'advertising' that he was a 'first degree Proud Boy' on social media," reports MacFarlane. "And he allegedly sent encrypted message on Jan 6 saying 'We took the Capitol.'" MacFarlane also reports that Greene has accepted a plea deal in which he will spend between 41 months and 51 months in prison. The conspiracy charge is particularly noteworthy because it could implicate any fellow Proud Boys and other assorted rioters who took part in conspiring with Greene to commit violence at the Capitol.Politico's Kyle Cheney reports that Greene's plea deal includes a deal to cooperate with other government prosecutions, which means that Greene likely has information that can implicate others in the conspiracy. www.rawstory.com/proud-boys-capitol-riot-2656093175/

Another LEO... Texas sheriff fires MAGA rioter deputy who called Jan. 6 'the best day of my life': report Sky Palma December 28, 2021 Roxanne Mathai, 47, was fired by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office after photos she posted to social media showing her at the Capitol on Jan. 6 were discovered. Sheriff Javier Salazar said he had forwarded Mathai's Facebook posts to the FBI and D.C. police. According to Salazar, Mathai had been on leave since October. According to a report from Business Insider via Yahoo news, Mathai followed up her first mention about attending the riot by writing on her Facebook page, "Not gonna lie.....aside from my kids, this was, indeed, the best day of my life. And it's not over yet," When appealing her firing, Mathai said she only went to D.C. on that day to witness a historical event. “I just thought it was the most ridiculous thing I’d ever heard," Salazar said of Mathai's defense. "It’s not like you’re standing there for the signing of the Declaration of Independence. That’s a historic event. You’re there when fellow Americans lost their lives. That’s nothing to be proud of." In an interview back in June with WOIA, Mathai called her dismissal "political." "Just because they're climbing wall doesn't mean that there's violence just because they're climbing a wall doesn't mean that it's illegal," said Mathai. "It's stupid. And it's frowned upon maybe, and that was my personal opinion at the time. Again, I'm taking videos of everything, because it's a historical moment." Mathai's attorneys say they plan to file a wrongful termination suit, but KSAT found no evidence of a suit being filed as of this Monday. www.rawstory.com/roxanne-mathai-2656171701/
