Sixteen members of a Florida-based white supremacist group – who went by names such as Shrek, Pretty Boy and Scumbag – have been charged in a 12-count racketeering indictment accusing them of engaging in acts of murder, kidnapping and other offenses.

The members of the group called the Unforgiven used “corrupt law enforcement officers and state employees” to gather information about the investigation and to smuggle contraband to incarcerated inmates, the indictment says.

The group required its members to study "Aryan Philosophy" and carry out acts of extreme violence to gain entry into the gang, the indictment says. They were also required to ​​get tattoos – which included swastikas, iron crosses and SS bolts – pay dues and attend regular meetings known as “Church,” the court papers say.

Members also created a political branch called Route 21, which federal prosecutors described as an “attempt to disguise the white supremacist roots of its political activity.”

One of the people named in the indictment, David Howell, 39, was charged with assaulting protesters with a dangerous weapon at a ‘Peace Walk for Black Lives’ protest last June. An attorney for Howell, of Loxahatchee, Florida, was not listed in court records.

Several members – including George “Shrek” Andrews, Brandon “Scumbag” Welch and Joshua “Chain Gang” Wilson – are facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

The three men could not be immediately reached, and it was not clear if they had hired lawyers.

The Anti-Defamation League describes the group as a white supremacist prison gang. The indictment says the group was created in part to rebel against a “perceived constant and almost brutal victimization of whites” in the Florida prison system.

Another member of the group, Michael Curzio, pleaded guilty Monday to participating in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. He was sentenced to six months in prison but was set to be released from jail this week after receiving credit for time served(well this guy was at the Capitol!!)

Judge Beryl Howell has denied the prosecutors use of a private, no bid, company access to and use of Grand jury records to compile a data base of the videos, photos, social media etc for the prosecution of the Jan 6th cases.

One of these Republicans, Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), wasted no time in stating his dedication to finding the true culprit behind the deadly Trump-inspired riots: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

In a statement released shortly after his appointment to the commission was announced, Banks attacked Pelosi for purportedly not doing enough to secure the Capitol building from attacks by former President Donald Trump's supporters.

"We need leaders who will force the Democrats and the media to answer questions so far ignored," he said. "Among them, why was the Capitol unprepared and vulnerable to attack on January 6?"

In fact no other losing presidential candidate in American history has ever incited his supporters to attack the Capitol following his election loss, which likely made anticipating such an attack difficult.

Banks went on to accuse Pelosi of creating the committee "solely to malign conservatives and to justify the Left's authoritarian agenda."

Matthew DaSilva had a signature black-and-gold scarf that he wore every day. But when he sashayed with it at the Capitol riot on January 6, it led two people who know him personally to identify him off on an FBI wanted poster.

According to the witnesses, upon returning from the Capitol, DaSilva apparently thought a new fashion aura would be a wise idea, as he shaved his long hair and beard.

Now DaSilva is charged by the FBI with a wide range of violent felonies in connection with attacks it says he made upon multiple officers. But unlike many rioters whose actions were captured on social media, the FBI relied upon footage from police bodycams and Capitol cameras.

But it was DaSilva's distinctive appearance that helped the FBI identify him, according to the criminal complaint:

“Witness-2 said that DaSilva had a full beard and long hair for years prior to January 6, 2021, but that upon his return from Washington, D.C., he shaved his beard, cut his hair, and stopped wearing the black and yellow scarf," reads the FBI report. That witness also said DaSilva previously had been in the Navy.

The complaint stated that DaSilva can be seen attacking law-enforcement officials:

“DaSilva can be seen in the front line of rioters grabbing, pushing, and pulling on the shields held by the U.S. Capitol Police and/or Metropolitan Police Department officers defending the Lower West Terrace archway while other rioters attack the officers."

DaSilva was arrested in Lavon, TX. He is charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding officer, obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, acts of physical violence and a variety of counts of disorderly conduct and unlawful entry.
