Or atleast that’s not how our news is telling it. The dad owns a trailer house in Borger that I can find and I haven’t spent any more time looking for the them.

I’m so disheartened that so many of these charges are watered down slaps on the wrist. Talk about ‘privilege’ the judges are bending over backwards to try to pamper these violent assholes. And yet the idiots still won’t accept the plea deals.
You know at this point lock them all up and toss away the key. Why are they not just all in prison?
I just feel that there is a lot of special treatment for them, no? Like if I just wandered into a government building unauthorized, not even violently, I feel like I’d be arrested on the spot and locked up. I’m just flabbergast that this still seems like no big deal. At least not the big deal I feel that it was.
Arrest them all, lock them up, have the trials & let the convicted ones rit in prison. Stop pandering to them

Truly not enough cells in DC. But they did arrest some peaceful protesters because they were in the wrong area on Capitol grounds. Let me try for a link. July 15, 2021 - 04:23 PM EDT Black caucus chair arrested at Capitol during voting rights protest. *** Beatty’s office confirmed to The Hill that she had been taken into custody. Totally unrelated directly to the Capitol. They are going after third violent group RICO. 16 Members of Florida white supremacist gang charged in sweeping indictment The group called the Unforgiven required its members to study "Aryan Philosophy" and carry out acts of extreme violence, the indictment says. The Sam M. Gobbons U.S. Courthouse on Oct. 21, 2020, in Tampa,FL July 15, 2021, 1:24 PM EDT By Tom Winter Sixteen members of a Florida-based white supremacist group – who went by names such as Shrek, Pretty Boy and Scumbag – have been charged in a 12-count racketeering indictment accusing them of engaging in acts of murder, kidnapping and other offenses. The members of the group called the Unforgiven used “corrupt law enforcement officers and state employees” to gather information about the investigation and to smuggle contraband to incarcerated inmates, the indictment says. The group required its members to study "Aryan Philosophy" and carry out acts of extreme violence to gain entry into the gang, the indictment says. They were also required to get tattoos – which included swastikas, iron crosses and SS bolts – pay dues and attend regular meetings known as “Church,” the court papers say. Members also created a political branch called Route 21, which federal prosecutors described as an “attempt to disguise the white supremacist roots of its political activity.” One of the people named in the indictment, David Howell, 39, was charged with assaulting protesters with a dangerous weapon at a ‘Peace Walk for Black Lives’ protest last June. An attorney for Howell, of Loxahatchee, Florida, was not listed in court records. Several members – including George “Shrek” Andrews, Brandon “Scumbag” Welch and Joshua “Chain Gang” Wilson – are facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted. The three men could not be immediately reached, and it was not clear if they had hired lawyers. The Anti-Defamation League describes the group as a white supremacist prison gang. The indictment says the group was created in part to rebel against a “perceived constant and almost brutal victimization of whites” in the Florida prison system. Another member of the group, Michael Curzio, pleaded guilty Monday to participating in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. He was sentenced to six months in prison but was set to be released from jail this week after receiving credit for time served(well this guy was at the Capitol!!) www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-courts/16-members-florida-white-supremacist-gang-charged-sweeping-indictment-n1274080

Sorry dude. You had no problem attacking the Capitol. Be strong while in jail! You're Proud Boy, be tough!! On Thursday, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported that a key high-ranking member of the Proud Boys being held in a jail in Seminole County, Florida is alleging to have been "threatened" by other inmates in the facility while awaiting trial for his involvement in planning the attack on the U.S. Capitol. Joseph R. Biggs, 37, was a leader among the Proud Boys in planning 'an organized and violent attack' upon the country's democracy and its Capitol building on Jan. 6, according to federal prosecutors," the paper reported. "And word that Biggs is locked up in a subsection of the Seminole County Jail, which holds about 150 federal inmates in other cases, has been getting around, according to J. Daniel Hull, who represents Biggs. 'I do worry about somebody wanting to test Joe Biggs' mettle,' Hull said. 'I think that's going to be coming up more and more.'" Biggs has been charged as part of a conspiracy — videos taken of the incident shows his fellow Proud Boys violently stampeding into the Capitol. Ironically, according to one former report from sympathetic right-wing populist reporter Cassandra Fairbanks, the FBI had sought Biggs' help in rooting out violent "Antifa" protesters. The Proud Boys are a self-described "Western Chauvinist" organization that experts have warned are linked to white supremacy, and are infamous for their street brawls. www.rawstory.com/proud-boys-riot/

But... Sure not me, I'm special.. A MAGA rioter who infamously called for the hanging of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has filed a bizarre motion to dismiss her case in which she employs rhetoric similar to that used by the "sovereign citizen" movement to demand her release. Via NBC 4 Washington's Scott MacFarlane, MAGA rioter Pauline Bauer filed a motion to dismiss in which she describes herself as "I, Me, Pauline Bauer the Living Soul, A Creation of God." She then proceeded to demand that the court "Drop all Charges against my VESSEL - PAULINE BAUER and Dismiss the Case." *** Bauer has been charged with multiple counts of violent entry, disruptive conduct, and obstruction of Congress for her role in the deadly January 6th Capitol riots, in which she was heard yelling, "bring Nancy Pelosi out here now… we want to hang that f*cking b*tch." www.rawstory.com/capitol-hill-riot-2653802024/

hop2 I do understand. At the Capitol they did have some people in custody, in fact we saw them laying on the floor of the Capitol. Unfortunately the officers were needed to secure the building as well as protection for the others. Right/wrong, who knows.

Missouri, St Louis Dispatch editorial. July 17, 2021 Monday, a federal judge in Washington will determine the fate of the first of the Capitol insurrectionists to face felony sentencing. The case of Paul Allard Hodgkins is less egregious than those of many of his cohorts — he pleaded guilty to entering the Capitol with the mob but says he didn’t otherwise commit violence. Still, his plea for a sentence of probation should be rejected. What happened on Jan. 6 wasn’t just about trespassing and property damage. Anything less than prison time for anyone who participated would diminish the seriousness of a direct assault on American democracy. To review what happened that day: After being whipped into a frenzy by then-President Donald Trump’s false, crazed claims of vote fraud, some 800 of his supporters stormed the Capitol, smashing doors and windows, rummaging through desks, rolling over about 140 Capitol police officers, sending Vice President Mike Pence and members of Congress scurrying for safety and ultimately causing or contributing to several deaths — all with the goal of preventing official validation of an election result that the attackers didn’t like. Not since the Civil War era has there been such a brazen assault on the legitimacy of the U.S. government and democracy itself. www.stltoday.com/opinion/editorial/editorial-the-first-felony-sentence-against-a-capitol-rioter-should-send-a-clear-message/article_39551e94-eb78-5899-a2fe-a8dfc038d743.html?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_

Gee this is the first time I’ve heard of a “tourist “ getting a jails sentence for just doing “touristy” things. Why is it (almost) always FL? It's awful, and it's why we have NO trust in people here to be vaccinated or smart, so we stay away and we're still Covid-diligent. Idiots! (Between these dumb freaks and our moronic Governor, FL is really fucked!)

The committee is off to a good start, not! This will not go well at all. One of these Republicans, Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), wasted no time in stating his dedication to finding the true culprit behind the deadly Trump-inspired riots: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). In a statement released shortly after his appointment to the commission was announced, Banks attacked Pelosi for purportedly not doing enough to secure the Capitol building from attacks by former President Donald Trump's supporters. "We need leaders who will force the Democrats and the media to answer questions so far ignored," he said. "Among them, why was the Capitol unprepared and vulnerable to attack on January 6?" In fact no other losing presidential candidate in American history has ever incited his supporters to attack the Capitol following his election loss, which likely made anticipating such an attack difficult. Banks went on to accuse Pelosi of creating the committee "solely to malign conservatives and to justify the Left's authoritarian agenda." www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-commission-2653855159

There is a video.. New footage from the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 released by the Department of Justice this Tuesday shows a retired Special Forces officer hitting a police officer in the eye with a flagpole, then throwing the pole "like a spear" as the officer stumbles backwards, The Daily Beast reports. Jeffrey McKellop has been charged by the DOJ with assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers with a deadly weapon, and violent entry. He has pleaded not guilty and was denied bond. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-footage/

You can't see me...... Matthew DaSilva had a signature black-and-gold scarf that he wore every day. But when he sashayed with it at the Capitol riot on January 6, it led two people who know him personally to identify him off on an FBI wanted poster. According to the witnesses, upon returning from the Capitol, DaSilva apparently thought a new fashion aura would be a wise idea, as he shaved his long hair and beard. Now DaSilva is charged by the FBI with a wide range of violent felonies in connection with attacks it says he made upon multiple officers. But unlike many rioters whose actions were captured on social media, the FBI relied upon footage from police bodycams and Capitol cameras. But it was DaSilva's distinctive appearance that helped the FBI identify him, according to the criminal complaint: “Witness-2 said that DaSilva had a full beard and long hair for years prior to January 6, 2021, but that upon his return from Washington, D.C., he shaved his beard, cut his hair, and stopped wearing the black and yellow scarf," reads the FBI report. That witness also said DaSilva previously had been in the Navy. The complaint stated that DaSilva can be seen attacking law-enforcement officials: “DaSilva can be seen in the front line of rioters grabbing, pushing, and pulling on the shields held by the U.S. Capitol Police and/or Metropolitan Police Department officers defending the Lower West Terrace archway while other rioters attack the officers." DaSilva was arrested in Lavon, TX. He is charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding officer, obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, acts of physical violence and a variety of counts of disorderly conduct and unlawful entry. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-arrests-2653886199/
