Ds 16 is getting his 1st shot tomorrow. Ds 19 will get J&J on Friday.
I want them to get it, but it does make me a bit nervous. Especially the side effects

Yup! Dd (18) got her 1st dose almost 2 weeks ago.
Ds is 15 and not yet able to get it but they say June or so it may open to 12-15 yr olds.
Not nervous at all. mRNA isn't new and has been around a hot minute.

Oh and dd has CVID so is immunocompromised. Her allergist immunologist said get it!!! We have to wait at least 4 days post infusion, hold off on that weeks infusion and then can restart the next.
So far no weird AI issues. She was tired with a sore arm for 2 days.
We were told due to IgG infusions she may have a higher response to shot 2. We are ready and she said I'd rather be icky for a few days then get Covid.

Dd 16 got her first Pfizer on Friday along with myself. DS 19 (away at school) had an apt for J&J Tues but received a message that he’ll be getting Pfizer now instead.
Not sure but I imagine when DS 12 is allowed he will get his as well.

Yes. Not sure I’ll hunt it down like I’ve done for myself. But we will be going to the UK in November (for a 3 time postponed soccer event) and I’ll feel much better if he’s vaccinated for international travel

As soon as she's eligible, yes. I read yesterday that Pfizer has asked for its EUA to include the 12-15 age group, so hopefully it will be sooner than later.

DS got his first Pfizer shot last week. I waited on hold for 2 1/2 hours to schedule him, and he made an unscheduled trip back to CT because his school wasn't yet administering the vaccine to out of state students.

My 19 year old will have her second Moderna next week and my 17 year old will have his second pfizer in 2 weeks. Neither had any side effects other than a slightly sore arm.

I've spent more than 4 hours on hold with Walgreens for my 19 year old. She lives in a dorm and has to fly to get home - -it was a high priority for us.

my two that are old enough are both adults (almost 21 and 29) and make their own decisions. They both decided to get the vaccine an have had their first jabs.
DD14 isn't eligible yet but she wants to get it when she is and we support that

My 19 year old got her 1st Moderna shot this past Wednesday. I found a spot for her and picked her up from school She came home and did her classes from here for the week (they’re all virtual). And while she was here, we got information from her school to schedule vaccinations there. We have such good timing 😩

I tried to get an appt for oldest DS (he just turned 18) but there aren’t any available right now. Like many, in a little nervous but think it will be ok.

DS is only 13 so it’s not yet approved for him. Once it is, he’ll get it.

My two oldest are waiting for their appointments, as are my husband and I. (Our county is being stupid... only one location to get them, and they only do it 3 days a a week.)
My younger children are 13 and 15, and they will get them as soon as they can. My youngest spent 2 weeks in ICU with RSV as a newborn, and he’s the one in our family that I’m the most worried about gettin COVID.

My youngest DD, who is 25, gets her second Moderna shot on the 19th. And when they approve Pfizer for ages 12-15, my two grandkids (we have custody of) will get the vaccine as well. Both had Covid back in October and thankfully it was mild compared to many people. I got my second Pfizer yesterday and hubby will get his 2nd with DD.

My 23 year old received his first Moderna shot this week. I left it to him to decide.
I have mixed feelings.

My 19 & 21 year olds are both fully vaccinated. We are my 19 yo’ s legal guardians, so we made that decision for him. No hesitation or ambivalence on our parts.

My 18 year old daughter got her second Pfizer shot last week. I am relieved. Her life has been a drag the past year. I want her to have a return to normalcy. Her side effects were a shaky feeling and a sore back. In 24 hours she was completely back to normal.

Yes, the 21 and 23 yr. olds got it (nursing student and health care worker). They really had no problems at all. My 17 yr. old will get it when she and I are eligible. I am nervous about her because she had side effects the last two vaccines she recieved (blacked out, dizzy, couldn't stand up for an hour). But I called the pediatrician and they said for her to get the shot, just eat a lot before she gets it and to lay down for 30 min. after.

All 4 of my kids are getting it or have gotten it.
Didn’t even require a second thought. Covid isn’t something to play with.
