It's getting hard to find the originals for my HP printer. I don't care about warranty nullification. If you have, particularly for HP, can you tell me what brand you used.

I have only used for Canon, but honestly have noticed no difference. Maybe 50 years from now? But side by side I can't tell at all. I am using EZink.

I also have an older Canon printer. I use E-Zink from Amazon. I’ve been using non OEM in the printer for a couple of years.
A word of warning: Spend some time researching to make sure your brand and model of printer will except non-OEM ink. My DD has an Epson Workforce that will only accept Epson ink cartridges. Several years ago Epson sent out automatic firmware updates that disabled the ability of some Epson printers to recognize generic ink cartridges. There are workarounds, but they don’t always work. My daughter had to buy the genuine Epson cartridges that cost almost $100 per set to be able to use her printer again. So annoying.

I have a 12 year old-ish HP printer and I ordered my toner cartridge from Amazon. It’s a VLink and works just fine.

I use Jarbo for my Brother laser printer. The cost of a Brother replacement cartridge was so high that DH joked we could buy a new printer--which comes with ink--for about the same price. Anyway, I like them. They're inexpensive and last a LONG time, a feature I looked for when reading reviews.

I do for my Cannon but my old HP would only take HP ink.

I did for my Canon and the bad printer ink eventually caused destruction in my printer. But it took quite a few years for it to happen and I guess worth it to me, although I truly hate the waste.

My partner bought some for our canon printer and the photos I printed on it were visibly degraded 12-18 months later. I was heartbroken. It's back to genuine Canon ink for us.

I did in my Epson printer for a couple of years. After that time they broke my printer. But given how much I saved on ink I didn't even care.

I bought some generic inks for my canon (it's got five cartridges). A couple of them just did not work-- like, I had to go through multiple print head cleans and test prints to get the cartridge to work. One I ended up tossing. I'm not sure if I didn't get the seal all the way off or what. But since I paid like $10 for three full sets of ink, I was only annoyed by the inconvenience of having to fix the printer.
The main black generic cartridges have always been fine.

My HP is getting old and I couldn't find ink. I ordered from a place called "1ink.com". DH and I have the same printers and they have been working well.

We had 2 different printers that wouldn't accept generic ink. One set of generic ink cartridges actually rendered tone of those printers unusable. It's sometimes not worth the savings!

One of my printers at work is an HP and all I ever get are generic. Same for my Canon. I've never had a problem with the quality. I just buy them from different sellers on eBay.

I print photos using a Canon Shelphy or my Epson PM400. Both render excellent results.

I used it for awhile in my HP, but then it stopped accepting it.

I was asked to purchase generic printer ink at work. It worked ok for a while then it just stopped working correctly. I spent MANY hours (gosh what a waste of my time!!) on the phone with support trying to figure out the issues. One tech finally asked if we were using generic and explained that the ink itself is a different makeup and the machine simply couldn't process the thicker formula after a while. The decision was made, not by me, to replace the printer and continue with generic inks until they gummed up so badly we couldn't use them, then replace again. It makes sense $$ wise but I hate what they're putting in the landfill.
