I just saw these today in an email from Scrapbook Generation. They sure have some pretty colours. There was a discussion about Mintay papers HERE

I saw and fondled purchased Mintay papers when I visited Frank Garcia's studio and store in California. They were a nice weight, similar to AC but perhaps just a shade heavier. Very smooth. A lot like the individual Prima papers. I wish I'd bought more there, honestly. I may have been too busy fan-girling and chatting it up with Mr. Garcia. I'm sure I sounded great, "Mr. Garcia I just love your work Prima paper is so beautiful and you are just great thank you so much for designing all this great paper, how do you come up with your ideas, I would love to take a class blah blah blah...." (he may have started backing away) But anyway, it's really nice paper.

I have a 6x6 pad (of a different line); if you don't mind me cutting down a sheet to fit in an envelope, I'd be happy to send you a sample of it. (I guess I'm not sure that they pads are exactly the same weight as 12x12, but at least for the nebula, they both say "double sided designer cardstock.")

Your story is too funny And thank you Eddie-n-Harley for your offer, but I feel safe ordering it now. There have been a few times I've been disappointed by too thin paper from other companies, and I didn't want to chance it again. Grammadee, I remember that conversation and that collection, but completely forgot we were discussing Mintay.

I think they are thicker than AC, I’d say they are more comparable to pinkfresh in weight.

I have never used a whole sheet for a layout but I imagine they have a lovely weight for a base page on a layout, I have only fussy cut and I had zero issues with that.

They are absolutely gorgeous! They are a good weight (yes, similar to AC), and the patterns are stunning. I can't bring myself to cut them up, so I will probably use full sheets for my layouts. And I know I'm probably a little weird, but I like the way they smell.

Beautiful and very different bringing a new look to your pages. I love Mintay, Stamperia and several other similar companies from non US companies.

I bought a winter line last year and love them. Loooove them. They have a sheet of cut aparts instead of ephemera. That is the only thing I didn't like about the papers.

That's true about the collections I have, but the new Nightfall collection (linked in the OP) has die-cut ephemera. I don't mind the cut-apart sheet. It gives me a chance to use the PixScan mat with my Silhouette Portrait. I currently use it to cut out my stamped images, and I've been getting great results. I'm looking forward to using it for the cut-aparts. Thanks for the reminder!

I have a Scan n Cut, but not many people have these machines.

There was a discussion about Mintay papers HEREAnd everything is gorgeous in person and has been a wonderful addition to scrapbookgeneration.com and our Springfield store! We’ve restocked several times...I’m becoming proficient in dealing with customs...LOL. Evidently the last order went over the weight limit to come in the country with no hold-up! But it’s been much easier than I anticipated...great company to work with and beautiful products.
