I didn't do so well last week with my goals. So this week, I plan to do my walks and aerobics during the day ad yoga at night. Wishing you all a wonderful workout week!!!

Missed a day or two of goals last week because of Covid Shot hangover but was back at it yesterday and got in 4 miles on the trails. M: Working vaccine clinic in the morning, taking a hike with a friend this afternoon T: Trainer, and taking the bikes to the lakeshore for a long ride. W: 4 miles on trail with friend Th: Trainer and a yoga class F - S - dealers choice - we'll be at our lake cottage and I hope to get out the kayaks, hike around on the NCT a bit, and we'll get lots and lots of yard work done.

I plan to walk 50,000 steps this week. The weather looks like it will cooperate with me. Bike trail ride scheduled for tomorrow. Thanks to you all's accountability, my pants are loose. But Christopher and Banks size inflation, geesh. I'm sure the same "size" in a different brand would not be as loose.

I ran three times last week on vacation. I didn't do as much strength training as I wanted but I did do some, which is better than nothing. This week:
M: Run 2+ miles T: Strength train 15-20 minutes W: Run 2+ miles TH: Strength train 15-20 minutes F: Rest day S: Run 3 miles

Just popping back in to say that I have over 20000 steps today, because I got out to hike with a friend and she's super young and wanted to keep going and going. So, I did too! Who's old? I'm old! But I kept up!

Here’s hoping it won’t bring down my streak the day after. I had body aches the day after mine, so I laid low. But it wasn't bad, and only a day. Good luck with yours!

I keep meaning to open & join these threads, but keep forgetting.
I am one month into my most recent lifestyle change. I had a checkup after some weird menstrual bleeding in early March and my blood pressure was still high. The OBGYN NP pretty much forced me to make an appointment with a family practice doctor in the same hallway after learning I hadn't seen a doctor in 5 years & my original family doctor retired last fall.
My new FP is giving me 3 months to lose weight to in order to see if my blood pressure comes down or I have to start BP meds. I've changed my diet and have started moving--especially when it dawned on me that I drive by several trails on my way home from work.
So my goal this week was to do trail walks yesterday & today, but missed yesterday after remembering I had an eye appointment. I'm not sure if I can get outside tomorrow because I'll be on a liquid diet for a colonoscopy (my first) on Thursday. Hopefully I feel like walking Friday. I think I'll plan on walking to DS15's baseball game Saturday morning for something different.
My other goal is to finally sign up for some classes next week at a local yoga studio. I won some class passes in a school auction & also took advantage of a special they offered for a month of unlimited classes. I want to try a yoga sculpt class, a Barre class maybe, and also a Fiit class, but they fill up fast.

MONDAY: I walked a nice walk down the street. I did more of my aerobic video than I have in a while and did some stretching/yoga at bedtime.

My step tracker went to sleep at the beginning of our trail ride. I'm not sure how it glitched! We biked 21.5 miles. I'm resetting my goal to 40,000 steps and a 21.5 mile bike ride. The day started out quite cool and cloudy, but then the clouds dispersed and it got up to 80 degrees. Very pretty ride. huskermom98 walking lowered my blood pressure, so I have good wishes for you.

My younger son (my walking buddy) is heading back to university this weekend (he was on a co-op work term) and my older son (non-walk buddy) just came home for the summer. I’m trying to convert my older son so that I have company on my walks but I may have overdone it with a first-day-back 14K (23,000 steps for me). He kept saying, “we can go a bit farther” without considering that we would have to walk back. He should have known when younger son started smirking and throwing me side-eye. 😆
Other than walking, I’m alternating daily between bike rides and weight training.

I am on strict "off my feet" restrictions until further notice. Hurt my knee somehow, and I couldn't walk if I had to! I am currently using a walker and only to use the bathroom. ugh. Hope to be back with you all soon.

I was 500 steps short of my goal, thanks to rainy, blustery days on Thursday and Friday. I took and extra long walk Saturday though! tentoes, so sorry to hear. Hope your knee feels better soon.
