Good morning. I finished off a really good week of strength training and only one cycle class. But trained with weights 4 days. Did yoga on the other days Today is core, legs and glute day. I'm going to sneak in a yoga or spin class too.

I am out of commission and it's driving me nuts. I put my back out last Wednesday and I'm miserable. And INACTIVE. Which is also making me miserable.
So, everybody get out there and enjoy activity for me!

So, everybody get out there and enjoy activity for me! I'm so sorry about your back. My back isn't doing well either, but it's my knee that is giving me fits!! But because I've been down now for at least 5 days, in a recliner, my back is starting to feel it too. I guess when one thing is "off" it affects the rest of the body in some way. My rear end is getting sore from sitting too!! ugh!! Hope to get some good news tomorrow when I return to the doctor. But it's not looking good for "release" from restrictions yet!!

Started my 10k training plan this past weekend. Race is 7/3. Built in an extra week and glad I did because I already got off a day thanks to the thunder and lightning on Saturday

I just did the most fun workout I have done in a long time and just wanted to share if anyone is interested. It's a HIIT/Tabata type workout by Emkfit on Youtube. Throwback to the 80's/Jane Fonda. SO FUN and I burned 358 calories in 30 mins. Here's the link if you're interested

I did Pilates today. We are planning on walking Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and we signed up for a Barre class on Wednesday (I don't really know what that is).
We also signed up for two different 5ks in June.

Last week I did strength training 3 days and walking, hiking or aerobics for 6 days. Aiming for the same this week. Hiked yesterday and did aerobics today. Tomorrow I will do strength training and some type of cardio.

Monday - slow 1 mile walk, and an appointment with my chiropractor. Hoping to get my hips back into alignment ASAP. I have a genetic hip condition that flares up occasionally. Tuesday - trainer, but I'll only be doing upper body. So, basically, nothing.

My goal is to walk 50,000 step this week. Yesterday wal 11,600, so we’re off to a good start.

13,340 steps yesterday. We walked downtown to the farmer's market but it turns out the web page I looked at had incorrect information. No market. My daughter had a lovely mango lassi, though.

Well, it's going to be at least another week before I can get back to some walking. The doctor doesn't want me to wreck the progress I've made so far, so extended my restrictions for the next week. I get the idea it's going to be a "gradual" lifting of restrictions when it happens.

TUESDAY: I walked twice, stretched and some yoga. But trying to get my aerobics back in my routine. Man, new habits are hard! LOL!

tentoes and kibblesandbits so glad to hear you are respecting your knee and back. Long term/big picture and all that. Thanks for cheering us on. Yesterday 8,600 steps on a rainy day, so on track because of Tuesday.

Did a Barre class today. My legs are mush I did my first ever Barre class today...my legs are mush too! I was doing ok through the first half, but by the second half the heated room was starting to get to me and I had to sit out a fair amount of the last 10 minutes before the cool down. But I think I liked it, even if I had no idea what I was doing during the yoga-pose warm up. I walked a new bike trail on Tuesday and managed to run a couple of parts. Yesterday I did a trail walk/run and went further on the trail than I have before (started to get nervous about where I'd end up because the GPS on my phone wasn't lining up with the trail map, but as long as I was on a trail I wasn't too worried). I'm trying to figure out a time to get into the level 1 yoga class so I can learn some of the poses before trying out some of the other classes.

I met my goal this week, with 53,761 steps already and half a day left today. I would love to get 1400 more today for 10,000 on this day but storms are coming. Like two storm systems are meeting over my town or something.

WEDNESDAY: Walked, Aerobics, Yoga THURSDAY: Pooped Out so not much but some indoor stretching and walking FRIDAY: Walked and will do aerobics and yoga today. Hope you all had a good week. Rest, recover and I will see you on Monday! Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day to you all!!!
