Where I live no masks were required if you can maintain a distance of six feet so if I was walking in my neighborhood or on a hike I never wore a mask. I never saw enough scientific data that supported wearing one when you can distance yourself outside. Just the other day I passed someone on a wide(12 ft+) path and she literally walked even further away and stood and turned her back to me till I passed. I think it will be a long time coming before people like this begin to lose their fears. (And as of today my city has 0 cases per 100,000 with 73% of 16+ having received their first shot). Wow! Those are the best stats I've heard. Anywhere. May I ask if you're in the US? I just checked and 75% of my city has received at least first dose.

As long as I am being told to wear one, I will but I will have a mask burning ceremony the moment I can. I absolutely HATE wearing them. I'm sick of the acne from having them on and the constant chapped lips and dry mouth.

I was at a garden center today and most people were not wearing a mask unless they were in the main building. I went to a downtown area and no one was wearing a mask out on the sidewalk either; they wore them in stores. Given that it was a weekday, most people were older and are more likely to be vaccinated. Were you comfortable? Annoyed? Other? I was comfortable. I am fully vaccinated and did not have on my mask when outdoors. It wasn't very crowded. The garden center had signs up on buildings that indicated how many people could be inside at one time.

I wear a mask outdoors unless I'm on my own property and I'm fully vaccinated. Vaccines aren't 100% effective and I can get sick easily. Plus, I just can't fathom being responsible for someone else catching the virus. Most people in my neighborhood wear masks when they're on their walk and we're still playing Frogger.
