Calling all gnome lovers! Photoplay's bringing back their beloved gnome couple for another festive season with Tulla & Norbert's Christmas Party. This time, the colours are more on the modern, fresh side with bubblegum pink and bright greens. This, this, this, this, this!!! Get in my cart, shopping basket, buggy, trolly or whatever you want to call it. It’s flipping May and the (self appointed) Two Peas Grinch says, “This one! I want this one!” I like to do traditional colors one year and something a bit more colorful on the other years. This happens to be a colorful year. This collection fits the bills quite nicely with the bonus of being gnome-tastic! I’m hoping for Bella Bvld and Doodlebug to make some lovely collections that can help to round out my Christmas plans. I do feel, though, that companies should at least wait until we’re closer to the next Christmas and not the prior one before making Christmas collection announcements.

Lucky me I only like 1 sheet so far. The north pole trading company co frosty AB but I’ll wait to see if my LSS get it or something similar. I might just buy the same paper I used for cards last year as it was so different. It was graphic 45 ‘making spirits bright’ with all the festive gears & such www.frankgarciastudio.com/last-few/christmastime1-3lcg7-alget-8jnd6-ya9s2-cr7k7-b6j2nI just love that paper - holiday gears on one side and generic gears on the other for a few birthday cards.

Im ok with them sneaking early. I'd rather have that than them wait til Oct and have no chance to get it before my holiday creating begins.

I really dislike traditional Christmas colours (probably because it's summer here at Christmas time) so that first collection displeases me immensely. I don't think I've ever done a Christmas layout using traditional colours.
I quite like the second one. It's similar to a couple of digital kits I own.
But yeah, I agree that it is way too early for Christmas supplies!

International shipping is back to being unpredictably slow on my side. My last US parcel took 6 weeks to arrive. I think internationals are going to need to factor in a significant postal delay again this year if they want to be sure to have their stuff in time for October/December Daily.

As I’m still working to finish up 2020’s JYC/DD, I need to remind myself that I DON’T NEED ANY NEW CHRISTMAS SUPPLIES!!!!
(Oh, who am I kidding? Christmas and Disney are my Kryptonite!)

Polish brand P13 (now also available from US retailers) is coming out with Cosy Winter, an understated and very European scrap aesthetic collection. Tagging dawnnikol for the large nutcracker wood veneer pieces.

Tagging dawnnikol for the large nutcracker wood veneer pieces. Thanks for the tag! I like them, I just wish it wasn't the same nutcracker 4 times. Every year I swear I won't buy more Christmas supplies... every year I fail. >.>

Thanks for getting us started sleepingbooty. Holy smokes though it feels early. I guess this means it's time to break out my basically-not-started-2020 album and get a move-on. Maybe seeing the new stuff will inspire me. I really like that P-13 collection.

no no no no no
(that P13 collection is very pretty)
but still, no. Not only is it way too early for me to even think about this, I'm not going to fall for this trap this year. I do not need ANY of it and I will not even think about buying anything until at least October.
Not judging anyone who enjoys the early reveals or needs to get orders in early (stupid international mails) but for myself, personally, no. If you see me here again tell me to go away! Shopping early is always a mistake for me.

Love the Santa, reminds me of the Coca-Cola Santa.

Confession time: I like seeing all the Christmas and autumn/Halloween collections revealed over the next couple of months. Nice and slow. It spaces it all out.
There are just SO MANY collections on the market for the end of the year, especially Christmas, that I'm not sure I could keep up if I had to deal with the avalanche of products all of a sudden come September. This spreads it all out, allows me to think and see the trends. And take all my sweet time to make up my mind about the direction I want to go in. But that's just my personality. I can see how this could have the opposite effect on someone else.

My problem is that I change my mind between when I see the awesome thing I have to have and when I sit down to actually do my project. I will admit that the year I locked myself into a format by buying a spiral bound journal cheap in the summer I did end up creating a book I really like *now* (4 years later) but I was not a happy camper that November when I realized I'd committed to something that I no longer liked very much. I guess I have the opposite of FOMO - I'm a commitment-phobe!

(oops) Weren't we discussing it because Ali Edwards released her first December Daily spiral bound journal that year? Good memories. I'm glad that after several years you've come to like it though! Phew.
