angel with dark skin tone. But a white Santa. Throwing one black angel in a collection is barely diverse. A little nudge in the diversity direction, but actually looks out of place. Kind of like, "I have a black friend....."

sleepingbooty - I couldn't love those p13 colors more. I saw another one of their lines recently by a scrapbooker online and really loved the different (than AC/pinkland) vibes.

I will admit that the year I locked myself into a format by buying a spiral bound journal cheap in the summer I did end up creating a book I really like *now* (4 years later) but I was not a happy camper that November when I realized I'd committed to something that I no longer liked very much. *hehehes nervously* I think I contributed to your purchase of that Pink Paislee journal... (oops) Weren't we discussing it because Ali Edwards released her first December Daily spiral bound journal that year? Good memories. I'm glad that after several years you've come to like it though! Phew. Haha, you have a good memory! Yup, that’s the one. It was a good buy, much better than spending a ton more money on AE’s one, and yes, it’s one I really enjoy now. Just the other day I grabbed it off the shelf (to find some photos I might use for Xmas cards this year) and I added some stickers to the front above the star so I can tell what year it was from. That was the year I spent the first week of December horribly sick with a cold so I was behind before I even got started and the format probably helped save me from making it all too complicated. Idk. It’s all good I always change my mind at least 4 times in November, but at least now I know that!

That P13 is beautiful. Love the green and gold and that whimsical reindeer. Wish there were more of those little guys in the collection. I could see that image featured on my cards...

OMG already??!! I agree with everyone who said it is way too early to think about Christmas. Having said that, it is nice to look at all the pretty collections, that P13 one is lovely, but I'm not buying anything this year. I repeat I'm not buying anything this year!! (I'm trying to convince myself that I can be strong)

Kind of like, "I have a black friend....." I guess I look at it as they could have done nothing. I'm willing to celebrate the small victories as it encourages others to add diversity in their releases. I will never criticize a company for trying, even if it's baby steps.

Kind of like, "I have a black friend....." Alas, in the extremely white scrapbook world, we're left pointing out whenever we do see a non-white character. It's a sad, sad reality. I'd rather make a diversity note when there's something than ignore the matter altogether. Hoping to see some more diversity with American Crafts lines. They'd been doing ok with Crate Paper's Christmas lines.

Im ok with them sneaking early. I'd rather have that than them wait til Oct and have no chance to get it before my holiday creating begins. True. I’d rather sneaks come now vs November. I’m looking at you felicity Jane.

Love the colors of P13 -- don't care for the furniture and woodland animals .. I'll be looking at the B sides before committing!

Normally I'd be in the "it's far too early" camp but I'll be glad when this year is behind me so I guess I'm ok with Christmas sneaks already. The P13 collection is lovely, I like that star b-side and I think the little wooden reindeer is adorable. I just had a quick look in my Christmas drawer and I have accumulated enough leftover embellishments over the last few years that I'd probably come close to making my album without buying anything, so this really needs to be a year of using up all the things I already own and limiting my purchases significantly. Hopefully I really dislike everything that comes out this year.

Stamperia Pink Christmas (which also has a 6x12 paper pad, I kid you not):

That Christmas Patchwork gives me such early 1990s vibes.

I really like the artwork in the Romantic collection and Christmas patchwork. Reminds me of old style Christmas cards we used to receive in the '50's and '60's. Don't know if the papers have metallic gold accents, but I could see myself adding touches with a glaze.

Was ready to pour some serious haterade on this thread until I saw that P13 line. Now I'm in love and have to find some ketchup to pour on the crow I have to eat instead...

I’m not sure if I want to laugh or cry after seeing this thread! But the Christmas lover in make is oohing and aaahing over some of this stuff. I’ll be back in a few months.

I bought a very similar Stamperia line to "Patchwork Christmas" a couple of years ago...I laughed at the comment from lisacharlotte about this one. It is totally true. I was (and still am) really drawn to the colours and the slightly distressed vibe, but it is VERY 90s. This year I want to challenge myself to actually make a layout with this one that looks a bit more current and modern...I'll have to be creative.

That Christmas Patchwork gives me such early 1990s vibes. Yes! It reminds me of Mary Engelbreit. I think I still have some ME stickers from the 90s

That Christmas Patchwork gives me such early 1990s vibes. It reminds me of all my MILs old Christmas stuff that I'm in the process of decluttering, the Jim Shore Santas and the like. She had a bit of a shopping problem in the early 90s. She would've loved a card made from that collection.
