I love the change in aesthetics at Crate Paper! Count me in. I enjoyed the dirty doodling for a few years but I'm ready to move on. Busy Sidewalks looks interesting to me. I need to see more before I make up my mind but those cute houses, the fat scarfed-up squirrel, the chipboard alpha Thickers (I'd been hoping to see the return of chipboard alpha at AC), that kind Santa face with almond-shaped eyes, the folkloric vibes. Yes, I'm liking this.
Kudos to Jasmine. This will be her first CP collection as the main designer.
ETA: I realised that I'm loving how warm and inviting Busy Sidewalks is. The colour scheme, the gold accents, the roundness of the designs and lettering. It evokes cosy all the way for me.

And the Santa isn't white! Baked cookie dough Santa is a genius move! It really suits a much wider variety of skin tones. I'm impressed. ETA: And the almond eyes on the paler "main" Santa opens up towards Asian communities. |

My cat loves playing under the tree - and by playing I mean she balls up the tree skirt when she buries a toy in it and then takes a nap on the pile - so that sticker is actually perfect!

Oh my! We are talking Christmas in June! All these Christmas releases this year! All of them will be shipping in July and August to compete with Ali and DD craze. I envy people with no Christmas stash as there is so much released in one year even if the overall number of manufacturers is a lot less than a few years ago. I see the trend of the albums competing for DD love even more so than in the past. I made an order today at ACOT with mostly embellishments from different collections and really like a new Vicki Boutin collection but might regret buying ephemera and chipboard if the look will be very creamy and grungy in real life.

In her Facebook page, Vicki Boutin wrote about a live reveal today at 7pm ET in her group and also she said that the initial order of her collection is sold out for preorders. I think it will be a very popular line and I wonder if any preorders were made by Joann or if Joann makes later orders after the initial independent and not a chain retailers.

I saw there were releases happening, figured this thread would be abuzz  Oh Holy Night was the only one that was catching my eye scrolling through recent pages, but I’m not Christian so it’s no use to me. I like the colors though - more like some of the typical “winter” collection colors actually. Spotted a couple of VB papers that look like they might be lovely but nothing feels fresh and exciting to me in the other collections shared. Meh. |

Yeah not loving the CP collection. I don't like the font, peachy, minty, dark red vibe at all.
I'd cherry pick the basics....acetate, stripes, dots, tree paper, some of the washi, some of the stickers ...total bummer

Booty how did you know JJ was the main designer? My bad, she's one of two main designers with Lauren Donna whom she tagged yesterday for the Busy Sidewalks sneak. She announced her transition to the CP and Maggie Holmes team last year. I really hope her co-designer and the people at AC are good at spell-checking because she then went on to post another IG story in which she spelled 'hypocrisy' as 'hipocracy'.  |

So far the new Vicki Boutin line I the one I like best, and most of the collection will probably end up in my stash. I like a few of the individual papers in the SS Holly Days and Make it Merry collections, and a couple of the embellishments. Busy Sidewalks may grow on me, esp the non-pink papers and the adorable cookie stickers |

I like some of the Busy Sidewalks. I didn't notice the cat sticker until you all mentioned it but I have a black cat and I absolutely need that sticker sheet. That pinecone paper is calling my name, too.
That Vicki Boutin line is really channeling Basic Grey isn't it? I mean it is totally her style but I guess I never noticed how much her style overlaps with Basic Grey. No wonder I like her so much.

I love the CP City Sidewalks paper that actually has the drawings of the city sidewalks. And the stickers with all the different cookies.
Love Vicki's papers. Wish there were more of those chicadees.
