I like Christmas Wishes. I've never seen a Christmas line with drinks in it. I appreciate something new.
I also love that seafoam green paper with the red Christmas tree.

A note on the Busy Sidewalks alpha Thickers: much to my chagrin, these are not chipboard but cardstock mounted on red foam. Just found out so I thought I'd warn the other December documenters in case they were looking for something different (although I'm sure some will absolutely love the red foam touch).  |

Ohhh I haven’t checked in for a while and Crate paper made my heart skip so that’s a winner so far! I haven’t felt excited about a Christmas collection for a few years now.

Man, I love seeing all the releases, but I am not even close to thinking about Christmas/winter holiday layouts yet.
I don't feel enamored with any one line yet, thought I like the chipboard sticker hearts & stars from VB.

I am so not excited by all the traditional colour schemes. To be honest, I kind of hope no one comes out with anything I love, so I have to use up the leftover bits I have in my stash.

Since I am making good strides cleaning up DD 2020, I allowed myself a look at this thread…that Busy Sidewalks really made my heart go pitter patter!
I used a 4x8 album from Citrus Twist for 2020 and it just wasn’t thick enough. I thought with 2020 being, you know, 2020, I would need a smaller album, but nope. Good to know that if Ali fails again this year I will have an album to fall back on.
Once I finish up 2020, there will be a merciless DD purge…if my inner hoarder doesn’t chicken out.

ACOT has new Memory-Place chipboard embellishments on pre-order that would be perfect for December albums. They look like wood veneer to me but raw material (whichever it is) means you can paint, stain or emboss them to fit your aesthetic perfectly.    Love the wooden fairy light-looking ones at the top. I wonder if you could foil those using the the HS glue pen and foil? Into my ACOT they go! TFS Booty! 😘 |

nicolep Oooh, the foil idea sounds wonderful! If it doesn't work out, you can salvage it by covering it with embossing powder anyway... Absolutely worth the try. Those fairy lights look dreamy, don't they?

What's the best product to use for staining, since they are going in a scrapbook? Anything you like to stain with will be fine. You can simply dilute ink from an ink pad. You could even attempt a tie-dye watercolour-y look if you are careful enough placing your little bits of different inks on a plastic sheet and spray them with water before "dipping" your embellishment down. Just try it on the B-side first to see if you like the effect. |

I think the Nuvo Mica Mists are comparable to those. The Sparkle Sprays make my Glimmer Mist look like nothing. The shimmer is unreal to me. These swatch cards I made by spraying the Sparkle Spray on plain white card stock. I then cut out a square and glued it onto my swatch card. The first picture show the colors. The second the shine.
