I think former is just mad that the Republicans ignored him and he’s lashing out in his typical style. He’s probably also jealous that the Democrats did something he was never able to do. Last night on PBS, they talked about how former had the opportunity to pass an infrastructure bill, almost every other week was infrastructure bill. However, former was either too lazy or infrastructure wasn’t a priority. His lack of knowledge or misunderstanding of history never fails to surprise me, though.

McConnell et al want the ability to say 'see I gave you this infrastructure' to their constituents!

I’m glad they were able to pass the infrastructure bill. However, I still think Congress is broken. As long as the Republican Party is still the party of former, I’m not very optimistic that anything will change. www.npr.org/2021/08/10/1026081880/senate-passes-bipartisan-infrastructure-billI hope they can focus on a voting rights bill now. I think the only way to pass it will involve carving out an exception from the filibuster. Manchin’s bill with voter ID and voter purges didn’t get a single Republican vote earlier this summer.

McConnell et al want the ability to say 'see I gave you this infrastructure' to their constituents! Exactly! The writing was on the wall, the Democrats had the will to pass something with or without them. And this way they can take credit for something that’s widely popular. McConnell is calling the bigger package wasteful, but I think some Republicans will falsely take credit for that, too.

The Republicans that voted against it are whining that it’s not paid for. Well, that’s because their colleagues drew a line in the sand about raising corporate income taxes and refused to negotiate on that point. Maybe to give cover to those who voted against the bill. www.npr.org/2021/08/10/1026081880/senate-passes-bipartisan-infrastructure-billStill, other Republicans held firm in their opposition, many of whom dismissed the legislation as fiscally irresponsible. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., told NPR Monday that he agrees the country needs to invest in infrastructure, but "I believe we need to live within our means." Scott noted the Congressional Budget Office projected that the infrastructure bill would add about $256 billion to deficits over 10 years

There is no question we need immigration reform, again, that addresses the border.
But right this minute the fact that Americans are still dying from this virus is little bit more important.

So this is long, sorry, but two articles... Now they are refusing blood transfusions, calling them tainted blood if the donor has had the Covid vaccine!! While the antibodies that are produced by the stimulated immune system in response to vaccination are found throughout the bloodstream, the actual vaccine components are not," Jessa Merrill, the Red Cross director of biomedical communications, said in an email. *** With nearly 60% of the eligible U.S. population fully vaccinated, most of the nation's blood supply is now coming from donors who have been inoculated, experts said. That's led some patients who are skeptical of the shots to demand transfusions only from the unvaccinated, an option blood centers insist is neither medically sound nor operationally feasible. *** In addition, outside of research studies, blood centers in the U.S. don't retain data noting whether donors have been infected with or vaccinated against covid, and there's no federal requirement that collected blood products be identified in that manner. www.rawstory.com/blood-transfusion/*** No transfusions but the monoclonal anti-bodies are good?!? Even with this set up, no vaccines allowed..Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, overseeing the worst COVID performance of any state currently, on Monday announced he is turning an 85-year old sports stadium that can seat as many as 65,000 people into a site offering COVID-19 antibody treatment for up to 320 people per day.*** So yeah, they're vaccinated. That's great," DeSantis said Monday of the elderly population. "That was the right thing to do. I do think it reduced for at least a few months the number of infections in nursing homes. But it's not just Florida, you're seeing now more people are testing positive. So then what do you do?" www.rawstory.com/desantis-turns-citrus-bowl-stadium-into-site-offering-antibody-treatment-but-no-vaccines/REMEMBER if you get the vaccine you probably WILL NOT NEED TREATMENT.

Another... South Carolina county Republican Party chair dies Greenville County Republican Party leader Pressley Stutts died Thursday morning after succumbing to COVID-19, The Greenville News reported. Stutts spent nearly a month in the hospital battling the virus, but according to Anderson County GOP's Dan Harvell, Stutts ultimately lost that battle. Both Stutts and his wife were forced to go to the hospital on Aug. 1 when oxygen levels dropped. "The COVID has created double pneumonia in my lungs," Stutts wrote in a Facebook post. *** A supporter of former President Donald Trump, Stutts posted on his Facebook page in July he shared a post that cited Dr. Leana Wen saying that the unvaccinated are a threat to national security. The Palmer Report shared her comments adding that he believes anti-vaxxers should be forced to get constantly tested or stay at home. In June, he shared photos of an anti-mask protest and celebrated when the legislature voted against mandating masks, vaccines and testing for state workers. www.rawstory.com/south-carolina-republican-dies/

Hope he is enjoying his vacation!! U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, 70, Mississippi's senior senator and a Republican, just contracted COVID. He has been vaccinated, his office said in a statement. Wicker infamously was captured on camera on a Delta flight refusing to wear a mask last year. He has been an ardent anti-masker. Just last month Wicker penned an op-ed demanding an end to mask mandates, declaring – falsely – "Americans are getting fed up with these overbearing rules that have no basis in scientific fact." 49 studies prove masks work www.rawstory.com/us-senator-from-mississippi-fed-up-with-masks-contracts/

When the ‘other side’ incites a violent insurrection INSIDE the US capitol in order to overturn a democratic election and install an autocrat then I’ll think about listening to the both sides whataboutism

What is wrong with these people? His term expired and instead of stepping down l, he has just decided the rules don’t to him and he just going tokeep doing the job.
So the State AG is being forced to sue to get rid of this guy and Republicans in the State Legislature decided to use taxpayer money to hire an attorney to try help this guy from being forced to step down…
And here’s why from the article…
”At the heart of the conflict is a 1964 state Supreme Court decision that says board members can stay on after their term expires until a replacement is confirmed by the state Senate. So far, leaders of the Republican-run Senate have given no indication that they plan to schedule hearings for Democratic Gov. Tony Evers' appointees, including the two selected this spring for the Natural Resources Board.”

MTG strikes again... Kamala Harris should be impeached because she won't go to Afghanistan to help with the evacuations.. Marjorie Taylor Greene: Kamala Harris must be impeached for not personally helping evacuate Americans from Kabul Sarah K. Burris August 23, 2021 After appearing at a House Republican press conference on infrastructure on Monday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) spoke to a reporter about the situation in Afghanistan -- and used it to attack Vice President Kamala Harris. According to Greene, Harris should be impeached for not going to Kabul during the evacuations. "For her to not speak out about this, for her not to fly over to Afghanistan to the Kabul airport is disgraceful, and unforgivable. She should be impeached as well," said Greene. "All of them are complicit in this. And they knew. They knew." Greene didn't explain why a U.S. official who would require extensive security support should be in Kabul while soldiers and embassy staff are scrambling to get people out. Such international travel typically brings a large security force with it, which could make evacuations worse. www.rawstory.com/marjorie-greene-impeach-kamala-harris/?cx_testId=15&cx_testVariant=cx_1&cx_artPos=0#cxrecs_s

GOO dirty deeds, caught!! Doesn't help the guy who lost though. An auto parts salesman and acquaintance of a former Miami lawmaker accused of running a vote-siphoning scheme in a 2020 Florida Senate race pleaded guilty Tuesday to two campaign finance charges and agreed to help prosecutors try the man who recruited him to run for office. Alexis Rodriguez, who was paid more than $40,000 by former Republican state Sen. Frank Artiles to run as a no-party candidate in the key Senate District 37 race, pleaded guilty to two felony charges: conspiracy to accept or make campaign contributions in excess of legal limits and accepting and making those excess campaign contributions. www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/election/article253696658.htmlwww.rawstory.com/alexis-rodriguez/?cx_testId=15&cx_testVariant=cx_1&cx_artPos=1#cxrecs_s
