Former's DOJ and WH!! And who was in charge of DOJ? National Security DOJ and WH? Remember there had already been problems, arrests, guns on the National Mall by the National Park Police. Unearthed emails revealed DOJ told 'no credible threat' just hours before MAGA riotBrad Reed November 19, 2021 New internal Department of Justice emails obtained by Buzzfeed News reveal that the DOJ was told that there was "no credible threat" to security at the United States Capitol just hours before Trump supporters rioted in an attempt to stop the certification of the 2020 election. In an email sent at 10:43 a.m. on January 6th, a member of the DOJ's National Security Division informed top DOJ officials that "there are no credible threats as of the 10:00 brief."Less than three hours later, Trump supporters would be storming the Capitol. This email was part of a large cache of emails obtained by Buzzfeed related to the DOJ's handling of the Capitol riots. *** Many emails have been been heavily redacted, however, which has limited the scope of what the publication was able to learn about them. What the emails do consistently show, however, is that government officials severely underestimated the possibility that violence would break out on January 6th. "On the afternoon of Jan. 5, Rosen exchanged emails with a public affairs official about how to respond to a letter that DC Mayor Muriel Bowser had written to Rosen — and tweeted out — stating that the city wasn't asking for more federal law enforcement and discouraging more deployments without local consultation," the publication writes. "Most of the contents of those emails are redacted." www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-timeline-2655766504/

He who hired busses to transport 200 people to DC Jan 6th. Frank Scavo, who reportedly organized bus rides that ferried around 200 people to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, was sentenced to 60 days in jail this Monday, HuffPost reports. "He should have known better [than] to have entered the Capitol," Assistant U.S. Attorney Seth Meinero told Judge Royce Lamberth, saying that Scavo had a "front-row seat" to the riot at the U.S. Capitol that day. In their sentencing memo, prosecutors pointed to a cartoon Scavo shared on Facebook which depicted someone driving a bus labeled the "Sedition Express" to D.C., describing himself in the comments as a "Capitol tour guide." Scavo, who is from Pennsylvania, expressed remorse for his actions before his sentencing, saying he wanted to make amends for his actions and that Jan. 6 was a "dark day." www.rawstory.com/frank-scavo-2655775604/

The committee said the subpoenas are focused on the planning and financing of Jan. 5 and Jan. 6 rallies in Washington, D.C., the subsequent march and deadly riot.
With this latest wave, the panel has now issued 40 subpoenas in its probe.

I knew I had read about these people.... It was only yesterday .. Stockton is in this piece . Leaked text messages outline Women for America First was coordinating with Trump's White House for Jan 6: report Sarah K. Burris November 21, 2021 Rolling Stone obtained text messages that show the coordination between Jan. 6 attackers of the U.S. Capitol and to former President Donald Trump's White House. According to the report, rally organizer Amy Kremer was focusing on food instead of what was happening down the street of her hotel at the U.S. Capitol. Among other things, Kremer is the founder of Women For America First and is a long-time tea party activist. Kremer's text messages made it clear that she was speaking with the White House for events that happened after Trump's loss in November. First, she hosted the March for Trump bus tour that would come to Washington to protest the president's loss. "For those of you that weren't aware, I have jumped off the tour for the night and am headed to DC. I have a mtg at the WH tomorrow afternoon and then will be back tomorrow night," wrote Kremer in messages to followers. "Rest well. I'll make sure the President knows about the tour tomorrow!" She went on to explain that she and her daughter Kylie seemed to indicate that they were in communication with the Trump team. Chris Barron, the spokesperson for the Kramers, claimed all of the messages that Rolling Stone has are fake news.*** A text message from Jan. 3 between activist Dustin Stockton and Kylie again made it sound as if there was blatant coordination. She told Stockton that handling rally credentials for VIP were being organized with a "combination of us and WH."www.rawstory.com/leaked-text-messages-amy-kremer/Whole lot more..

Ali Alexander says he will appear and answer some questions... Key Jan. 6 organizer to comply with Capitol riot subpoena: 'I don't want to go to jail'John Wright November 27, 2021 Jan. 6 organizer Ali Alexander, who calls himself the "founder" of former president Donald Trump's "Stop the Steal" movement, announced Saturday that he will comply with a subpoena from the House Select Committee investigating the Capitol insurrection. "You may have missed the news that I've been subpoenaed by the Democrats' partisan Jan. 6 committee," Alexander said in a video posted to the right-wing social-media platform Telegram. "This is a midterm issue that they want to run on, and what they want to do is paint me as the Black face for a white supremacy movement that doesn't actually exist." Speaking in front of a poster of singer Johnny Cash flashing the middle finger, Alexander added that he respects his "fellow patriots" who are defying the committee, but called it "an expensive right" — claiming that it would cost between $250,000 and $500,000 to fight the subpoena. "I frankly don't have that money to spend on legal bills, so for this unselect committee, I will actually be privately deposed in December," Alexander said. "I've asked to make it public testimony. They won't cooperate with that request. "The only reason I'm going is that I don't want to go to jail," he added. "So under the threat of imprisonment and spending tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars on lawyers, I will be privately deposed before this committee in December, and I will make public whatever I can." In a post accompanying the video, Alexander wrote that he plans to submit to the committee "photographic and video evidence of agitators sabotaging his January 6th peaceful protests." Referring to himself in the third person, Alexander wrote: "He will also present evidence to the Committee that President Trump was betrayed by someone in his inner circle. Someone made the decision to take instructions for patriots out of the Ellipse Rally. Ali says he's not backing down and the Democrat Committee has already threatened to imprison him." youtu.be/aWE4eNrwfvEwww.rawstory.com/ali-alexander-2655856337/

Court, executive privilege not going well... During a hearing in federal court, Clark argued that Trump should be allowed to invoke executive privilege to prevent the Jan. 6 committee from viewing documents related to the attack on the U.S. Capitol. A judge has previously rejected Trump's attempts to use executive privilege to keep his documents hidden. www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-executive-privilege/

Mark Meadows is cooperating ... How much will be determined in time.. (CNN)Donald Trump's former chief of staff Mark Meadows is cooperating with the House select committee investigating the January 6 riot and is providing records and agreeing to appear for an initial interview, CNN exclusively has learned. The move represents a critical shift in the relationship between the top Trump ally and the panel, and staving off a criminal contempt referral for now. "Mr. Meadows has been engaging with the Select Committee through his attorney," Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi who chairs the committee said in a statement. "He has produced records to the committee and will soon appear for an initial deposition. The Select Committee expects all witnesses, including Mr. Meadows, to provide all information requested and that the Select Committee is lawfully entitled to receive. The Committee will continue to assess his degree of compliance with our subpoena after the deposition." Meadows' lawyer George Terwilliger said in a statement to CNN that there is now an understanding between the two parties on how information can be exchanged moving forward, stating that his client and the committee are open to engaging on a certain set of topics as they work out how to deal with information that the committee is seeking that could fall under executive privilege. But the agreement could be fragile if the two sides do not agree on what is privileged information. News of the understanding comes as Trump's lawyers argued in front of a federal appeals court in Washington that the former President should be able to assert executive privilege over records from the committee. www.cnn.com/2021/11/30/politics/mark-meadows-january-6-committee/index.html

Jeffrey Clark will appear again Saturday for deposition. However he will be using his 5th amendment rights.. CNN legal analyst Elie Honig on Wednesday told CNN's Erin Burnett that the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riots was about to make things very uncomfortable for former Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark. Even though the committee voted to move forward with criminal contempt charges against Clark on Wednesday, the former Trump official is nonetheless slated to appear before the committee soon, where he is expected to assert his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. Burnett pointed out that "it's going to sound damning" if Clark pleads the Fifth on every question at the hearing, and Honig replied that this is exactly why the Capitol riot committee wants to make him do it. "The committee wants to make Jeffrey Clark own it," he explained. "The want to hang that Fifth Amendment [response] around his neck. Make him said it over and over, 'I take the Fifth, I take the Fifth, I take the Fifth.'" Honig went on to explain that Clark is well within his rights to assert his Fifth Amendment rights -- but only if he believes that speaking truthfully could implicate him in a crime. Burnett then played a supercut of all the times former President Donald Trump attacked aides of one-time Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for asserting their Fifth Amendment rights. www.rawstory.com/jeffrey-clark-capitol-riot-committee/

I was listening to Rachel talk about this tonight. Jeffery Clark and his attorney walked out of the deposition when Clark got tired of not answering question. So the attorney for the hearing decided to list what questions he would have asked if Clark had stuck around. Almost as soon as the transcript of the deposition hearing , that included the questions, was released to the public Clark said he would plead the 5th amendment. Followed shortly by that Eastman guy.

Big one.... On Monday's edition of CNN's "The Situation Room," correspondent Jamie Gangel broke down the significance of former Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff Marc Short cooperating with the House January 6 Committee. "We learned the committee subpoenaed Marc Short a few weeks ago, but unlike some other Trump officials, he is not fighting the subpoena," said Gangel. "Short's cooperation ... is a significant development because he is a firsthand witness to many critical events. He was with Mike Pence at the Capitol on January 6th. He was also in the Oval Office on January 4th when former President Trump tried to convince Pence not to certify the election results." Our sources say that Short's assistance signals a greater openness among Pence's inner circle, with one source telling me the committee is getting, quote, 'significant cooperation with Team Pence,' and another source telling me that Short's help is an example of the momentum the investigation is having behind the scenes," continued Gangel. "I do think it's important for context to remember this: Short is considered one of Pence's most loyal aides. He has worked with him off and on for more than a decade. It is hard to imagine that Marc Short would cooperate with the committee without Pence's blessing." youtu.be/vWQAzpDBxRgwww.rawstory.com/marc-short-capitol-riot/

Publix heir.. You bet to the tune of $450,000 dollars The report goes on to state that Julie Jenkins Fancelli's $150,000 contribution was " intended in part to promote the rally. The nonprofit organization paid for a robocall touting a march that afternoon to the U.S. Capitol to 'call on Congress to stop the steal.'" *** According to the new report, the wealthy Trump donor, "gave the previously undisclosed contribution to RAGA's nonprofit Rule of Law Defense Fund, or RLDF, records reviewed by The Washington Post show. On the same day, the records show that Fancelli gave $300,000 to Women for America First, the 'Stop the Steal' group that obtained a permit for the rally featuring former president Donald Trump." www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-julie-jenkins-fancelli/

FOX Geraldo and Hannity.... Fireworks erupt on Fox News after Geraldo blames Trump for inciting Capitol riots Brad Reed December 14, 2021 Host Sean Hannity began by asking Rivera why Congress was only investigating the Capitol riot and not the assorted riots that took place in response to the murder of George Floyd last year.Rivera replied that those riots were not an attack on the American republic and system of government the way that this one was."This was a riot that was unleashed, incited, and inspired by the president of the United States, which targeted the heart of American democracy" Rivera charged.Hannity tried to deflect blame by claiming that Trump had urged protesters to act "peacefully," without noting the fact that Trump for more than three hours refused to tell the rioters to leave the Capitol after the riots had begun. Rivera responded by citing Hannity's own texts that he sent to Meadows during the riots asking Trump to put out a statement telling people to leave. www.rawstory.com/geraldo-capitol-riots/

What a joke. Of course Trump told them to go there "peacefully" - because he knew the plan was for all hell to break loose. The key is DID HE DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT ONCE IT STARTED?!?!? NO. NOT FOR 3 HOURS. Because it was all going according to plan. "The Capitol was under siege — and the president, glued to the television, did nothing. For 187 minutes, Trump resisted entreaties to intervene from advisers, allies and his elder daughter, as well as lawmakers under attack. Even as the violence at the Capitol intensified, even after Vice President Mike Pence, his family and hundreds of Congress members and their staffers hid to protect themselves, even after the first two people died and scores of others were assaulted, Trump declined for more than three hours to tell the renegades rioting in his name to stand down and go home. During the 187 minutes that Trump stood by, harrowing scenes of violence played out in and around the Capitol. Twenty-five minutes into Trump’s silence, a news photographer was dragged down a flight of stairs and thrown over a wall. Fifty-two minutes in, a police officer was kicked in the chest and surrounded by a mob. Within the first hour, two rioters died as a result of cardiac events. Sixty-four minutes in, a rioter paraded a Confederate battle flag through the Capitol. Seventy-three minutes in, another police officer was sprayed in the face with chemicals. Seventy-eight minutes in, yet another police officer was assaulted with a flagpole. Eighty-three minutes in, rioters broke into and began looting the House speaker’s office. Ninety-three minutes in, another news photographer was surrounded, pushed down and robbed of a camera. Ninety-four minutes in, a rioter was shot and killed. One hundred two minutes in, rioters stormed the Senate chamber, stealing papers and posing for photographs around the dais. One hundred sixteen minutes in, a fourth police officer was crushed in a doorway and beaten with his own baton. Trump watched the attack play out on television and resisted acting, neither to coordinate a federal response nor to instruct his supporters to disperse. He all but abdicated his responsibilities as commander in chief — a president reduced to mere bystander. The tweets Trump sent during the first two hours of rioting were muddled at best. He disavowed violence but encouraged his supporters to press on with their fight at the Capitol. And throughout, he repeated the lie that the election was stolen. Many others tried to influence the president. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), a Trump booster, called him and said, “You have to denounce this.” Trump falsely claimed to McCarthy that the rioters were members of antifa, but McCarthy corrected him and said they were in fact Trump supporters. “You know what I see, Kevin? I see people who are more upset about the election than you are. They like Trump more than you do,” the president replied. “You’ve got to hold them,” McCarthy said. “You need to get on TV right now, you need to get on Twitter, you need to call these people off.”
Trump responded, “Kevin, they’re not my people.”
McCarthy told the president, “Yes they are, they just came through my windows and my staff is running for cover. Yeah, they’re your people. Call them off.”" www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2021/what-happened-trump-jan-6-insurrection/
