Try mother. AND husband. I have gotten him to see some things now and he "doesn't support Trump" however he still thinks good things were done under his term. Don't run me off the board or hate me. I wonder sometimes how I am still married to him. We've got other issues and this is not the priority of issue changing. He does know if the TV lands on Fox and I am around, I walk out of the room. I will call out their lies they are spouting as I hear them. I was talking to ODS yesterday while I was in the car traveling. I said I had been listening to the hearings in the office. But since the heat was so bad I had to turn on the fan and I wouldn't be able to hear the conversations. I asked if some of the ones in his office, who only listen to Fox, had listened to the hearings and what were their thoughts and reactions. "Please, mom, Fox was not showing any of that." I didn't quite believe it but thought he was probably right. And now I know. That is the reason 90% of my people on FB have not filled the stream with their BS. They didn't hear it to begin with. That's a lie. I watched it. On Fox.
I can't say whether they showed all of it as I had to leave the house and when I came back it was over. However, for someone to say "Fox was not showing any of that" is untrue.
Yes Fox did air it. I turned over to see if they were and it was on.

sunshine thanks. He doesn't watch Fox and we both sort of assumed as they have shown in the past, they don't show certain things. And I will say, I based my thought on pulling it up at some point and they weren't showing it. It could have been lunch.

Good question, where are the other police officers/unions who are not supporting the Capitol and DC Metro police officers?!? Since Jan. 6, officers from the DC Metro Police and Capitol Police have been willing to speak out about what they experienced and the injuries that so many of their fellow officers experience. But the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is nowhere to be found. "Why are they not speaking out on behalf of these four officers?" Tapper asked former Washington, D.C. Police Chief Charles Ramsey. The only thing Ramsey could say was, "I have no idea. I really don't know." www.rawstory.com/where-is--fraternal-order-police/Tapper just had someone on from the FOP (Patrick something) and he really didn’t have an answer. He mostly avoided the questions and claimed he doesn’t watch the news.

This will not end well. (Cramer, he who claimed he could not tell he had the vaccine. It would violate, HIPAA) Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) is refusing to kowtow to President Donald Trump's supporters upholding Ashli Babbitt as a hero. Cramer, who last week became the latest Republican to give a bungled explanation of the HIPAA medical privacy law, appeared on a local radio station and answered questions for callers. CNN's Andrew Kacynski posted an excerpt of the transcript in which a caller asked why they don't have the right to know which officer shot Babbitt. He began by explaining that not even he knows who the person was, but the caller still insisted the public had a right to know. "Because the person that shot her is a police officer shooting a criminal not complying with officers' telling her 'stop, don't come through that window, we have guns drawn, don't do it.' They're protecting people and the officer was found to be innocent of any wrongdoing," said Cramer. "So then what would be the purpose of releasing that officer's name? What do you need to know the officer's name for?" In the past, right-wing supporters have worked to doxx people they don't like, which can lead to "swatting," where someone calls the police to report something at that home on the off chance the resident would be shot by police. People have also been targeted with harassment, people outside their homes, following them on the street, following their children and other methods of harassment. www.rawstory.com/north-dakota-republican-ashli-babbit/

Yeah, Kevin McCarthy blew that, too. Had he agreed to an independent commission, that would have concluded by the end of the year. He (and the rest of the Repubs) have no one to blame but themselves.

I’m hoping they all step up! Wouldn’t it be great to know where the breakdowns happened? How did it get that far out of control? Why was there tighter security for RBG’s public service than this?
Oh if we only were having a true and honest investigation. I know there’s 15-16 other investigations going on, maybe some real truth will come out of one of those.

Six members of Congress “marched” on the DOJ to “speak up” for the “political prisoners “ in jail. These “political prisoners” are the ones that attacked the Capital on 1/6. They claimed these were not “violent” individuals. If that’s the case, someone should’ve squeeze Gosar in a door like these non violent political prisoners did to the officers. And then ask him if it was a violent act or not. Stupid bastard.
“Opinion: As Jan. 6 hearings begin, Republicans side with the terrorists”
Opinion by Dana Milbank Columnist July 27, 2021 at 6:51 p.m. EDT
“The select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol held its first hearing Tuesday, and Republican lawmakers took the occasion to demand justice — for the terrorists who took up arms against the U.S. government on that terrible day.
Six Republican members of the House, escorted by a man in a giant Trump costume bearing the message “TRUMP WON,” marched on the Justice Department Tuesday afternoon to speak up for those they called “political prisoners” awaiting trial for their roles in the insurrection.
“These are not unruly or dangerous, violent criminals,” Rep. Paul Gosar (Ariz.) proclaimed at a news conference outside DOJ headquarters. “These are political prisoners who are now being persecuted and bearing the pain of unjust suffering.”
Rep. Louie Gohmert (Tex.) speculated that “we have political prisoners here in America.”
They distributed copies of a letter alleging the Jan. 6 defendants had been denied “potentially exculpatory evidence” and subjected to “cruel and unusual punishment.” Their supporters waved signs proclaiming “Free the Jan. 6 Political Prisoners,” and “Jan. 6 Was an Inside Job.”
The lawmakers, ironically, had to cut short their defense of the insurrectionists, because demonstrators disrupted them with heckling, whistleblowing and signs (“Traitors Sit Down”).
The half-dozen lawmakers, including Matt Gaetz of Florida and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, made explicit what has become more obvious by the day: Republicans stand with those who attempted a violent coup on Jan. 6. And it’s not just the wingnuts. House Republican leaders held a news conference before the hearing, blaming Jan. 6 not on seditionists but on Capitol Police and, particularly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Police officers who defended the Capitol on Jan. 6 testified before Congress on July 27 about their experiences. (Blair Guild/The Washington Post) With the Capitol Dome behind her, Rep. Elise Stefanik (N.Y.), the House Republican conference chair, proclaimed: “The American people deserve to know the truth: that Nancy Pelosi bears responsibility, as speaker of the House, for the tragedy that occurred on Jan. 6.” Stefanik charged that Pelosi “doesn’t want a fair or bipartisan investigation.”
Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana, one of the saboteurs House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy had tried to place on the select committee, announced that Capitol Police “weren’t trained” adequately and that “Nancy Pelosi is ultimately responsible.”
The Republican whip, Steve Scalise (La.) repeatedly accused Pelosi of a “coverup” about Jan. 6. And Rep. Troy Nehls (Tex.) denounced fellow Republicans Liz Cheney (Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (Ill.), for serving on the select committee. “Those Pelosi Republicans aren’t interested in the truth,” he alleged. “We’re interested in the truth.”
Right. Seven of the eight Republicans standing there had voted down an independent, bipartisan commission negotiated by the top Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee. And now they claim Pelosi is the one blocking a fair, bipartisan investigation? All this while faulting the Capitol Police, who at that very moment shielded them with a ring of officers, barriers, vehicles and a canine unit.
Had the GOP leadership been watching the hearing instead of spinning yet another conspiracy theory, they would have seen what it means to put country before party. Cheney, at the hearing, warned that without accountability for Jan. 6, “this will remain a cancer on our constitutional Republic. . . . We will face the threat of more violence in the months to come and another Jan. 6 every four years.”
She challenged her colleagues: “Will we be so blinded by partisanship that we throw away the miracle of America? Do we hate our political adversaries more than we love our country?”
Police testified about their grievous injuries, the ferocious violence and racism of the armed attackers, and their fears that they would die that day defending democracy. Police officers, and lawmakers, wept. D.C. police officer Michael Fanone, beaten and tased by the mob, expressed astonishment at “those elected members of our government who continue to deny the events of that day,” including “those very members whose lives . . . I was fighting so desperately to defend.”
But a number of Republicans expressed more sympathy for the attackers. “There are Americans all over this country who are being harassed, who are being targeted by law enforcement!” Gaetz, at the news conference outside the DOJ, said of the insurrectionists.
Rep. Andy Biggs (Ariz.) insisted that it was “a very small group that attacked the Capitol Police.” What really concerned Biggs was “how are these individuals being treated?”
The insurrectionists’ allies grew anxious as more hecklers arrived and unfurled signs calling them racists, rapists and traitors and “Pedophiles for Trump.” “Wrap it up,” a worried staffer told the lawmakers. “We got to get out.” They fled to waiting vehicles, one of which sped off the wrong way on 9th Street NW. It swerved in front of oncoming traffic onto Pennsylvania Avenue amid a hail of honking horns.
What were they afraid of? These protesters were nonviolent — unlike the Jan. 6 terrorists with whom Republicans now side.”

Doesn’t surprise me one bit. Our school district is currently being torn up by people like this who are afraid of an equity audit and “CRT”. One mom and her daughter went on Fox and friends the other day and now many school staff are receiving death threats. They even called off community education classes this week because of it. These people are unhinged and it is maddening. What do we do about it—as a community and as a country?

Bannon forwarned about Jan 6th a In his radio show the day before. And followed up on the 6th. All hell is going to break loose tomorrow," Bannon said on his Jan. 5 show. "Just understand this: all hell is going to break loose tomorrow. It's going to be moving. It's gonna be quick." Bannon was responding to Sen. Chuck Grassley's (R-IA) comment that Vice President Mike Pence would preside over the election certification. A previous report that day said that Grassley would be the one to do it and that Pence would not be there. www.rawstory.com/steve-bannon-tell-trump-violence/

Within the article they stress following the court .. will they refuse to appear with just a subpoena or are they all planning on fighting in court? According to a report from the Washington Post, Democrats on the House select committee investigating the Jan 6th insurrection, that forced lawmakers to flee for their lives, are planning on issuing subpoenas very soon and are weighing which of their GOP counterparts they want to testify about their involvement or interactions with the president that day. As the report notes, the Democrats are treading in uncharted territory that could be seen as partisan politics in their efforts to find out the truth, and any Republican called would likely not go down without a fight, with former House counsel Steve Brand stating, "I don't recall a case where members of Congress were subpoenaed to an oversight hearing." The Post reports that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) -- who has vociferously opposed the committee and tried to stock it with partisan Donald Trump supporters -- would be a likely target. And he is not the only one. "House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) have been the recent subject of questions about which members could be called to appear before the select committee," the report states. "Earlier this year, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) described what McCarthy told her about a phone call he had with Trump on Jan. 6 in which he asked the president to help calm his supporters who had broken into the Capitol." The report adds, "Other lawmakers who could be of interest to the panel include Rep. Greg Pence (R-Ind.), former vice president Mike Pence's older brother who was with him that day, and Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), who participated in the same rally as Trump on Jan. 6. Across the Capitol, Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) also spoke to Trump. The president accidentally called Lee looking for Tuberville, who spoke with Trump for several minutes after being passed the phone by Lee and before the senators were evacuated from the chamber. Lawmakers who spoke with the vice president or White House officials could also be potential targets." #mobile_story_page_one-story At issue would be how to compel them to appear and how long the Republicans can draw out their legal battle by using the courts -- a well-known tactic employed by former president Trump for four years "The committee could also potentially have to rely on a vote of the full House to compel any testimony, which could be difficult if any Democratic members balk at the idea given the party's slim majority," the Post reports before adding, "Some Hill aides have speculated that whether a member has to testify could wind up being an issue for the Ethics Committee, while acknowledging that too would be unchartered territory." According to Brand, "The House rules say that members shall reflect credibly on the House. I'm sure that somebody could formulate a theory that says you're duty bound to respond to a subpoena." One Republican House member admitted that, if a court so orders, the House member in question has no choice but to comply."So far, most rank-and-file House Republicans have taken a wait-and-see approach regarding the issue of their colleagues appearing before the Jan. 6 panel," the report states. "Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) said that while it's 'appropriate' for members to question whether a subpoena is justified, 'if the court orders you to testify, I think you've got to follow a court order.'" www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-gop-2654317589/

The Trumplethinskin crowd's "Back the Blue" bullshit meant nothing but "Black Lives Don't Matter" and cops really don't either but we patriot/law enforcement humpers need to "appear" that we back them.
ANYONE who still supports that prick, thinks the election was rigged and supports those in Congress who carry water for him can fuck off and I'd have no problem telling it straight to your face and don't even start defending that traitorous bitch who didn't comply with police orders and got herself killed. She was a traitor and a embarrassment to uniform she used to wear. If I understand correctly, the coward crowd are trying to turn her into a martyr, yeah, right...gag me.
