Make 12 cards. That's it! That's the whole challenge. (But you can read the first challenge thread here for the full write up.) If you are playing for points: 1 point for each card you make, whether 1 or 20. Once you make a dozen, take 8 bonus points-- so your first dozen cards are worth 20 points total. If you make two dozen, you can have another 8 bonus points. (So, 20 points total per dozen available.) If there's a bonus challenge/prompt, and you use it, take another 10 points. August (optional) prompt: I am hopefully going on last year's vacation this month (I am vaccinated and have plenty of masks), so your prompt is to use a travel OR tropical/desert theme. (I'll tell you where I went when I get back... it isn't really tropical but it has palm trees, and since I live where it snows, those are tropical to me.)
ETA: I went to Las Vegas, had a great time. But yeah, they have palm trees. I don't know if they're the same ones that they have in, like, Florida or the Caribbean, but the main trees where I live have to tolerate snow, so palm trees will always equal "warm vacation" to me. And hey, Vegas has flamingos. I mean, their main one is a casino, but still.
No preview cards again for me this month. Some friends asked me last minute to participate in a craft supply rummage sale. It went well and was fun, but I just finally cleaned my room tonight. I'm hoping to at least cut pieces for the July challenge (sketch) and take those with me for when I have some down time on my trip.

Does traveling to SPACE count? (LOL). Here is a slimline card for a soon-to-be six year old. I really need to remember to put in a challenge about finishing the INSIDE of cards. I find them more challenging than the outsides, and often don't do them at all (just handwrite a message with my signature).
And speaking of insides of cards... This one is for my soon to be 8 dgs who is obsessed with super heroes. His name starts with M; hence the letter on his shirt. I figured out the pop up mechanism myself. Took some jerry-rigging, and still doesn't close as easily as I had hoped, but it is done! This one didn't photograph well. Should have known that the foils would reflect back at the phone and make the kraft appear extra dull.

Wow. Awesome cards grammadee. My insides usually have something boring stamped like Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas. Nothing like these!

Those are so fun @gramadee! My DS loves Marvel and thinks that card is so cool! I'm sure your gs will love it too!

Ha! It's called spaceTRAVEL for a reason, so yeah, it counts! I really like that moon/constellation piece--is a premade die cut? (I was thinking it was made with a die itself but it's awfully intricate!) LOVE the marvel die cuts! They're perfect!

A quick card made for a challenge to use washi tape on the Inky Stamper Inspiration FB page. You inspire me with all your cardmaking! I'm not a huge fan of the 1920s flapper-girl theme generally, but I really like the cards you made with those images. My favorite of those is the "create your own luck" one. I also really like your red white and blue "celebrate" card.

That was a sticker from a sheet that was included with a sb kit from a few months ago. I had stuck the sheet (without any labels or packaging of course) into my "Little Boy" bin where the space pp lives.

My main goal is to use up my stash, these challenges are certainly helping me do this.

MARIBETHR, your cards are AMAZING!!! Will get to Flickr later to take a closer look at each group. Here are my last two of this month's dozen cards. These will go out to a couple of ddil's in October. I was inspired by the Crushing on Cardstock class I signed up for b/c of Pea enabling. fall bd cards '21 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Part of the inspiration was the strip design of the first card. But I was really helped by a couple of tips: (1) use a die to cut your strips! I don't have one just for cutting strips, but decided to use my TE sentiment label cutting plate. (2) use Press n Seal to hold everything in place while you fiddle around with the pieces. I used two sheets: one to put over the card front and figure out the criss/cross design, and then one on top of that to hold everything in place while I turned it over to add glue. The strips then stayed adhered to that second piece while I flipped them over to adhere to the card. Amazing. Who knew???
