I thought Ali released a digital stamp that said "all is chaos, all is bright" so I searched her shop and The LilyPad (for Paislee Press) but I can't find it. Am I mistaken? This one or "embrace this merry mess" would fit. Could someone help please? It's driving me crazy It's a card in the Paislee Press kit from this year!

OMG! I didn't realize that this was all Hallmark's ploy to keep us mired in the patriarchy: "If her story proves to be financially successful, there will be a sequel. It will center entirely around the pressures of planning a royal wedding and a few flimsy references to the first film. Women will hate themselves even more for watching it, and Hallmark will be one step closer to completing its ultimate goal of reminding women everywhere that the patriarchy lives within all of us. Merry Christmas, bitches." As a feminist, I watch these movies as a form of research to learn how the other side thinks.

Day 1: rushing home on the subway snapping photos of all the Christmas decor I saw on the way to the train station. Day2: heading uptown to Harlem on the bus after work. Usually I wouldn’t take the bus at all (close to 100 blocks) but I wasn’t in the mood for the train. Day 3: my first in person book event since the week before quarantine. Day 4: Saturday morning errands in Brooklyn. I am jealous of your city life. Also, would you mind sharing your book? I'm always up to read something new. You could PM if you don't want to share publicly. I keep my scrappy life a secret from my other life. Also, off to google jobs in New York.

Here is the Holderness Family's take on Hallmark Christmas Movies. I think they pick up on most of the points listed in your link, Linda.

Apologies for the belated prompt post today but I only just got home and it's past 8PM here. One more busy week at work and things should calm down (fingers crossed). Phew! DECEMBER 6Supporting cast //Photo prompt: The focus is so often on the main character(s) but magic happens through collective effort and many helping hands. During this time of giving, charity and community, take a moment to let the supporting cast in your life come to the foreground in your documenting. Is there someone special you wish to capture this year? Would your usual delivery guy or postman mind posing for an in-action portrait? Are your little ones helping carrying in the groceries from the car? Is the pup patiently putting up with all your crafting and Christmas music? Does a coworker like to surprise you with a cup of hot coffee to start the day? Creative prompt: Use the character description list at the beginning of a play as your inspiration to record the supporting cast of your December life. Write your own cast of characters and describe exactly how these people have been helping you or making you feel all Christmassy these days. It's a pretty neat and succinct way to include everyone you can think of for this prompt. Example: Cast of Characters
AlbertNext-door neighbour, always willing to pick up parcels delivered in our absence, especially hard at work with all our Christmast deliveries! Miss EmmaDD's dance teacher who's been extra helpful in helping her get ready for the dance recital. Always smiling and understanding if we're a few minutes late picking DD up after class.Grandpa(you get it )Song of the day:

Living here is a grind full of mouthy people, dirty streets and $7 small cups of coffee. Its a grind in one way or another every day. I've been here my whole life and I wouldn't change a thing!! I don't mind posting my book at all. I was planning to post to the hashtag when I printed my photos. As soon as I do I'll let you know.

Awesome. Looking forward to it. I applied for one job. It's a remote editor position but I'm only 6 hours away so it's not a bad drive for 10 - 25% of the travel required. Most of that is going to a couple of conferences every year. I'll spend more time looking when I'm done with grading. I love New York but I'm usually good to come home after 3 days. I always said when my daughter was older we'd rent a place for a month and really dig into it. There's just so much to do and see.

Yay, my Alie Edwards order came. Just waiting on the additional page inserts. Used the cardboard bag the star items came in for an insert. Backed it with some Christmas Crate Paper paper and deciding how I want to use that page. Maybe about dinosaurs on one side for dd (Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous season 4 started last week) and Mario/Luigi on the other side for Ds.

My first layout is done! This is fun. I like that it is more free thinking than a traditional 12x12 layout. I will work on ds' side after lunch. Anyways this is dd's side. Girl LOVES dinosaurs.

What’s the latest thoughts on preserving a printed newspaper article? Is the best way to scan and use a copy?
A Pea turned me on to a charitable organization called Lasagna Love and the event I participated in was in the local paper today. Hello, story day 6!

What’s the latest thoughts on preserving a printed newspaper article? Is the best way to scan and use a copy? I remember reading about a spray you could buy to make newspaper last longer. My mom laminated some stuff from the newspaper when I was a kid in the '80s and they are still around. But I don't think I would like the look of something laminated in my album.

I have seen laminated glitter and flat sequins used as a page insert. I think some fun could be had so long as everything within the laminating pouch is very flat.

I have to say thank you for all the inspiration. I’m a digital scrapper versus traditional, but love to have a December daily done and printed every year. Works for me as interactive and 3-D just aren’t my thing.
‘’I’ve done a page on our first snow this year that was remarkably late. And one on my favourite drink I only ever get in the holiday season. I’ve also done my reason why page.

I am not doing a DD, but dropping in to see what fun you busy Peas are having. @sunnycamom , your dino pages are really cute! Love the diecuts! And your Mario page is a fun one. My dgs's are gaga about Mario Lego. I tend to scrap Christmas after the fact in 12 x 12 format. wordyphotogbabe , I want to lift ALL of your pages!

Here are more of my pages. Beautiful! And they're all digital? Here's where I'm at right now. I've got page 5 almost done. I just need to trim my photos and add some embellishments. I reverted to what's easy: 4 box pocket page. I actually used my very last (sniff, rip, oh the sadness) October After PP that has 4 3X3 squares with a 2X6 section in the middle. I filled it with the white filler stuff that came in my Felicity Jane order. Years ago, October Afternoon had a kit that came with that stuff in red and I did the same thing so it's like a throwback for me. Day 5 was about Hanukkah so I kept the pics black and white and used mostly silver on the page. I think it's pretty but nothing stellar. I have things ready to go for this week since we have nothing going on and are super busy. I haven't had time to take photos of the spreads so I will try to do that this week.

Thanks, ladies!
Yes, they're all digital. They are all from templates by Kayleigh Wiles (who sells over at Designer Digitals) although I have some of them stripped down to just the frames and/or paper placements and then I build my page up from that. I CT for Sweet Shoppe Designs so most of the kits are from there.

DECEMBER 7 Burst //Photo prompt: Something uncontrollable and sudden. Bursting out laughing, bursting at the seams, bursting with pride. But also the camera's burst mode to capture a series of action photos in quick succession. Use today's challenge to document the spontaneous in your life right now. Loved ones cracking jokes, the kids having outgrown last year's Christmas PJs, broken glass ornaments before they are disposed of, a series of action shots (sledding, dancing to Christmas tunes, putting the star on top of the tree), and even the fire in the chimney bursting into flames. Creative prompt: Build your page around a burst aesthetic. Think of reusing interactive card-making die sets like Angela Poole's Magic Windows Slide & Reveal. Relie on triangle cut-outs like shown below. Use stamps or mixed media for a broken effect background. Or print a series of successive action shots for your story. https://www.instagram.com/p/CWtx1L0ImJ8 Song of the day:

A quick little anecdote for those who loved public French TV's interlude marmottes that have had some international success recently: they have been retired after several years of amusing us with all their antics. France Télévisions just unveiled the new cast: fluffy chickens! My heart, I cannot. SO CUTE! Can't wait to see them do all kinds of silly stuff. ETA: Click to reveal the first series of antics!

Barbara P is making me reconsider the 8x10 album. Most layouts have been too busy for my tastes but her minimalist style is perfection. I’m another who doesn’t really care if my albums last. Im in the process of restoring my grandmother’s old albums, it’s a right of passage someone can take on when I’m gone. I did notice the wooden 8 from AE kit a few years ago has cracked and is falling apart. More space doesn’t need to mean more complication/more bells & whistles. Unless you want it too.
