The more I look at PinkFresh, the more I like it. Even with the pink.
ES DD stuff goes live today so I will see what happens to fall in my cart this time!

I love the pinkfresh sneaks - I love pink. But I’ve never been crazy about the quality of pinkfresh. Waaaahhh. I don't have much of their stuff, but for sure the line they did with KP. Is there a specific product you don't like the quality of so I can watch? I bought a large amount of product about 3 years ago, everything they had from two collections. My biggest complaint is the paper/printing they use. Designs aren't crisp and while it's tolerable for the 12x12, the journal cards were so bad I ended up throwing them away. I think the paper they use has absolutely no coating or finish to it, it almost seems like copy paper in that aspect. I went back and took a look at a couple of layouts I did with the papers and I'm still seeing the same issue. I also purchased all of Geralyn's travel release with them, same issue. On 6x6, where the designs were shrunk down, because the ink isn't crisp, some of the design faded away in the process...think old SC documenter kits before they switched printers. The final straw was when I pulled out the travel album I made and all the little rectangular tab stickers fell off. They had separated from the backing. It's a pity because I really love some of their designs, but I don't want to feel like I got burned again, so I have to say no. Has anyone else noticed these issues? Or am I just being too picky? One more thing, if the collection you purchased was with KP printing, it might not have the same issues. I'd be all over KP printing with Pinkfresh designs in a heartbeat.

I generally do not have issues with PF papers or paper ephemera, those are mostly the items I buy from them. I was not particularly fond of the fabric bows or stitched stars in the past so do not buy those any longer. I am staying away from puffy stickers from any company now. The PF paper is definitely different and designs are on a lighter scale, but I have never thought of them being poor quality. I like their every year Holiday releases but have learned they don’t go with anything else I use so if I ever decide to use one of their collection, it has to be all in, the whole album using their products and so far it has never happened as my DDs are 6x8 with a lot of cards.

I'm debating on ES. I may add to cart, leave for a bit and come back to see if it still speaks to me.
Karinec's comments above make me want to see what the quality of my pink fresh stuff is downstairs before I commit to stuff too.

I typically do not buy ES but looked at their Holiday release and OMG! Everything is simply beautiful and a lot of items are usable. I think the collection is great for a beginner and a mature DD wolf. I consider myself a latter one so always am looking for a crazy new embellishment to boost my creativity and to add to my album but this collection is just so usable and I think the album would be very pretty using it. I loved the star stamp and I think it’s more versatile than upcoming Ali set featuring star fish stars. Do items typically sell out quickly? I will wait for a few more reveals to decide if I want to add some basics to my stash. But overall I loved several items and I thought ALI choice of add ons was big:)

I feel completely opposite about pinkfresh quality. But again I am a bit partial towards their designs and love everything they put out.
Pinkfresh, my minds eye and occasionally cocoa vanilla are my favorite companies. I got my hands on some older studio calico collections and love those too.
I feel PF papers are very heavy compare to anyone in the industry. I love how white it is. Their chipboard stickers are matte finish and they are actually white... I love that. All of the chipboard stickers and card stock stickers I have from them are neatly packed and good weight. They do remove the extra material from the sticker sheet so I can easily spot off printed stickers which I have not seen any other brands do. I have never had any issues with their printing quality. I loved everything that missy whidden did with their collections and all her mixed media. I did scrap lift some of her layouts and went heavy on mixed media on PF papers and had no issues. Lately I am loving their journaling bits. They are a great addition for my layouts.

Re: Pinkfresh quality--I have only started buying Pinkfresh for the past 2 years or so, and have been very happy with the quality of their papers (very thick compared to most other companies), die cuts, cardstock stickers, and puffy stickers/alphas. I have not had any issues with the printing being off, fading, etc. I buy primarily from ACOT and the Pinkfresh website.

I e been very happy with Pinkfresh quality. The only issues I’ve had with it that I can recall is a couple of the stickers from the line KP designed were colored so dark that the words were nearly unreadable. A dark green ticket shape was one.

I am staying away from puffy stickers from any company now. I'm curious why you are staying away from puffy stickers? You have too many? Consistent poor quality of the ones you bought? I haven't used them much in scrapbooking, mainly because I have to absolutely love them to pay $5-$6 a sheet.
Alas, I'm a child of the 80's and I will always be stuck on stickers.

I bought the Wonder paper stack, Cookies and Milk cardstock stickers, Heart and Star puffy stickers, Christmas Die Cuts dies (the pictured example looked super cute), and the Holiday Puffy word stickers. I think the items are all super usable and will mix and match well with existing DD supplies (and any future purchases). I was tempted by the star label stamp set, but I already have the ES basic label stamp set and dies, and figure I can just add tiny stars to those as needed/desired

no hope for my elles studio card pack I almost always get the Jane Tile Alphas and I love that these have a white background this year so I'll probably grab those.. haven't really decided yet on other things... love the lil mugs on the puffy sticker sheet too. I like a lot but don't need it, ykwim? There are way too many frames in the diecut pack of that kit though, so I'm glad theirs wasn't my first choice this year.

Not sure if I should post this here, or in a separate thread, because y'all are COMMITTED to December Daily! I am on the fence, but want to commit to documenting the holiday season in a more purposeful way this year, and hopefully use that to focus on the happy aspects.
What do you include your albums? Is it a daily log of activities, or more like Shimelle's JYC? Some sort of hybrid? I am trying to land on an approach early so I can start to plan/think. I also need to decide if I am going to do December pocket pages/layouts, plus an album, or try to put it all in my annual album. I think having some idea on content will help to drive that decision.
I ordered a kit from Vicki Boutin with her Warm Wishes Collection. It comes with a virtual class of layouts and an album, but I will likely just watch the videos for entertainment, take the ideas I want, and then get creative with the supplies. Right now I am planning on combining it with some vintage Basic Grey holiday collections, and some embellishments from other manufacturers.

I tried one year, in like 2014, but found it way too redundant to do it and keep up with my PL album. I do love the creativity in pages I see people come up with for DD (to an extent- sometimes I cross into the THIS IS TOO MUCH and find it excessive). I do not love Christmas and generally find it overly commercial and suffocating, but I desire to find more joy in the season, and I hope a Christmas album in my own terms could be a part of that. However, I tried this last year and never got further than ordering FYC and printing some old photos. 🙃 I am going to create a Christmas album, of our Christmas stories for many years. Not chronological. Probably include things from my and husband’s childhood too.

The only thing that went straight into my cart were the Star Journaling Tags/Cards. I am strongly eying the star labels and star numbers though! Is anyone else imagining the Elle Studio Collection and the Pinkfresh collection used together? I am not sure about the pinks together but I could see the rest working together nicely. I already ordered the Button Farm's Simple Stories album kit so I probably shouldn't even be looking at other stuff. It doesn't help that my craft is still packed from our move three weeks ago so I can't review what I already have and say, "Nah, I don't need anything." LOL. I am thinking of doing the kit to document a past Christmas though.

infochick I don’t do a “traditional” December Daily, either. I usually do a 6x8 or similar sized album that documents the holiday season, sometimes starting with Thanksgiving, sometimes starting in December, but always going through to Jan 1st. I think the folks on this thread do all types of seasonal documenting, including holiday spreads in their Project Life, 12x12 layouts in their yearly albums, mini books of all sizes, etc. I love hearing about everyone’s plans for their holiday documenting I love the idea of mixing in some Basic Grey with Vicki Boutin’s Warm Wishes line!

infochick I don't do December Daily as the project is either. It's more of a running Yuletide memories album (adding to it annually with dividers separating each year) nowdays (I've done individual mini albums before). I document the memories that I find worth documenting and start whenever the first memory of the season starts, usually late November. The memories continue into early January since (secular) Epiphany is a big thing where I live. I make sure I document our usual traditions and plan ahead for those. My album always features Advent calendars, tree picking + decorating at my mother's house (we don't do one), the little bit of home décor we do get around to, Countdown to Christmas Hallmark rom-coms, buying + wrapping gifts, the decorations in the city where we live, a special winter or holiday recipe we tried that year, Christmas Eve (big celebration with my family), roadtrip on Christmas Day to my SO's family + second Christmas celebration at their place, NYE, Epiphany cake. Occasionally, there's also a seasonal drink from Starbucks, Friendmas, cinema outing, New Year's concert at the opera. I focus on these memories first and foremost.

Usually, the last week of August marks her December Daily schedule release on the blog. First week of September is full DD release videos and then straight into ordering. It looks like they may be off a week this year?

Ali released her December Daily products on September 3rd last year which was a Thursday. If I remember correctly she previewed the whole collection the day before which would have been the 2nd with occasional sneaks all the way up to the 2nd. Edit-I went and looked at her blog she previewed the collection on the 1st of September last year.

I don't have any journaling cards though for that comparison. Thanks for your POV though! Not sure if I should post this here, or in a separate thread, because y'all are COMMITTED to December Daily! This will be my 12th year doing DD. That sounds so insane to me. It is my very favorite project, but it is also my very favorite time of the year. I've changed the way I do it over time. I started with 8.5x11 and then dropped to 6x8. The products are always a mash between stash & whatever I love that's been released that year. Sometimes I start on December 1st, but more often lately, I've started on Thanksgiving and stop on Christmas. One page could just be a story about a new favorite song/cd, another could be about the Advent Calendar(s). We have our usual traditions that I'll plan out for certain days and fill in whatever floats my boat for other days or see what pops up. Booty had a list she posted one year of ideas and I printed it out to refer back on. Sometimes they're in a page protector, sometimes they're not. I also do PL the entire year, so sometimes I'll get duplicate photos, but PL usually sticks with the day to day stories and DD is "special".

I wouldn't think starting over Labor Day weekend (U.S.) would be the best plan since they usually have ordering issues, but who knows?
