Happy Sunday! What a weekend I had! Here is a picture from the art gallery's opening night. We had a fantastic time and lots of people came. The other art was so wonderful, too. I will be going back a few more times to really see the other art and of course mine. This week, I will be working on a video showing all the things, as they say. Also, I blogged about this show experience before opening night if you want to read about it. Link HereI'll check back in tomorrow to catch up here. Stay Gallery by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

LOVE the photo of you with your art kellyr21 We've found the perfect Girl Scout troop for DD14 - they are a trailblazing/high adventure troop for middle/high school girls. They meet once a month and do at least one weekend campout or full day trip/event every month plus they are doing a boundary waters canoe trip next summer. She had been ready to quit Girl Scouts and now she's excited again. She'll go orienteering at the end of the month in a forest about two hours from here. The only real downside is they meet an hour awy from us so they're meeting to carpool for orienteering at 8am and we'll need to leave before 7 to drop her off. Hoping to get caught up on sketches tomorrow - after I get caught up on housework. Hi everyone

Linda , I hope you are feeling better. I am thrilled for your DD in finding a new Girl Scout Troop. I forgot to tell you that my DD called and said she is now on the GS Council for her area. She isn't sure exactly how that happened, but apparently she volunteered for something and they asked her to be on the Council. She is ok with it and is excited to get the girls started again this year. Her numbers have really dwindled with Covid. kellyr21 , I love that photo of you with your art. I will check out your blog link. I'm glad you had a great time at the Opening. Do you know how many art pieces were displayed? Your hair looks so beautiful! gramma , I love what you did with our photos. Your journaling is so sweet and I hope we can do that again sometime. You did such a great job on that sketch and stretched it to 2 pages besides. What a great day that was. grammadee , your month has been so busy already and it sounds like things aren't going to slow down anytime soon. I hope you are taking time to rest! joyfulnana , I am anxious to see what new things you learned. How did Rudy's orange belt testing go? I think you said they would record it for you. I'm glad your new employee is working out. It was nice to see you online. I have really missed that. kitbop , how is your hospital doing with Covid right now? In my brother's area in Idaho they are rationing care by "likelihood to survive". My brother has had one heart attack and several blood clot incidents. It's scary to think that they might not have a bed for him because the beds are all filled with the unvaccinated. Our numbers are over 2000 new cases each day and I worry that we might be in the same situation. Sadly, 500 of those are school-aged children...but no masks required. We have a brand new Michael's just opened over the weekend. Em and I went to see the Grand Opening and nothing was on sale. It was really weird. The store is nice and things are easier to find than their old, dark store, but I was expecting some big sales. I need some organizational stuff but will wait for a sale. I'm way behind on the sketches, but I plan to just do what I have time for and not push myself. It has been fun so far this month.

nylene - I'm improving which is good. Congratulations to your DD. I hope her troop picks back up - covid has been hard for Scouts (and everyone). Prayers for you brother - that's so scary. Glad you have a new Michaels - you would think they would have had a grand opening sale. Ours closed at the beginning of the year unfortunately. Working on catching up on sketches. DD14 has academic team practise today so stays late and DH will pick her up after work. DD21 is watching a video for one of her classes so it's quiet here. Paddington goes back for more shots tomorrow. She's 4m 3w now - Dusty is just 4m...they are both getting big very quickly.

kellyr21 - that is a beautiful picture - can't wait to see more! I'll read your blog post. grammadee , your month has been so busy already and it sounds like things aren't going to slow down anytime soon. ---> I read "your MOUTH has been so busy" and thought to myself, "wow, that's not like Nylene!" I went to see the Grand Opening and nothing was on sale M's has REALLY cut back on sales and coupons here. It doesn't surprise me that there was nothing special for the opening. We don't get 50% off sales any more - it's "BOGO 50% off" which is only 25% off PLUS you have to buy 2 of something! Truth be told, I don't go there more than twice a year now. I do buy my craft foam (for dimensional adhesive) there. And sometimes pens/markers. Linda - if my GirlGuide troup had had an "adventure" option I'd have stuck with it! But I quit at 13/14 because I was pretty much done with crafts. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I stayed in but we did a bunch of camping and I even got to do a Wider Opportunity to Wisconsin one summer - milked cows and goats, went canoeing on the river, camping etc... so much fun! DD21 stuck in out mostly because she had friends in her troop and it was a social thing for her. DD14 was ready to quit - she was tired of everything being STEM and helping younger girls so this is perfect for her.

Happy Monday! I am pooped out today with all the excitement but it is a good tired. You guys, I wish you could of seen me on Friday afternoon an hour before we were to leave. LOL! Early in the week, I was doing lots of things to get prepared for the show. So when Friday came, I didn't want to have anything to do but just relax, get dressed, eat dinner and go. I had picked out my outfit weeks ago but on Friday I got a stain on the top, then had to clean it and after all that, I just didn't like wearing it to this event. So minutes before we were to leave I was throwing off that top and scavenging my closet for another top. LOL! Then, I felt much better and left feeling more confident. Did I tell you the gallery is up the street from me? That made this even easier not having to travel, too far. So I plan to visit several more times before the closing in October. Masks are required here but we hope some of our family/friends feel safe and can come. Over the weekend we celebrated. Last night, we went to a local Japanese restaurant and got yummy dinner boxes. It was so much food we have enough for tonight. Thanks again for all your cheers and support. I imagine my parents smiling down on me and so proud. I wish they could of seen this! linda- Your dd Girl Scouts sounds so fun. I wish I could join! LOL! So glad she is socializing and able to be with other kids. This pandemic has been so tough for the kids. Also, I hope you are feeling better. joyfulnana- How did your crop go? I hope you had a ball! nylene- I think since there were 30 plus artists, that is how many art pieces were in the show. About my hair... I did one thing a little different while doing my hair on Thursday and Friday it wasn't a nice as usual. So I was a little bummed about my hair but next time I will not change my routine on a big day. LOL! Thank you for the compliment.

Ha ha, kitbop. Sometimes my MOUTH needs a rest, too, as do my typing fingers... We had dsil, his sister, and dgs this past weekend. Saturday we did work on the garden and then had dh's sister's family over for supper (She called me at noon to invite dh & me for supper, but since I had already started prep here and had more people, she brought her home made soup here and we all had that and ribs & rice). Then we played Canasta for a couple of hours in the evening. Sunday was rainy. The guys did some work in the garage; I did some zucchini baking. Sounds like a lovely weekend, kellyr21. Your panic getting ready sounds like something that would happen to me. I swear, I think sometimes the sitcom writers have been peeking in my windows... So glad your dd is looking forward to her new GG experience, Linda. At that age, social contact is so important--and so hard to set up and maintain. I think boys have it easier: they seem to bond with whoever is doing the same thing, like playing on the same team, or skiing, or whatever. Girls need to feel like they belong... Too bad that your trip to M's was less than inspiring, nylene. I don't go there very often, even less often lately. Seems like they have less and less scrapbooking supplies all the time. And if they have any big items on sale, they are usually sold out before I have the opportunity to get to the store. Looking forward to hearing about your weekend, joyfulnana. Hope all went well and you are not too exhausted to get through the week. Wondering what you are up to, MARIBETHR? I have not been really good at keeping up with the boards. This week I am home this first three days, then need to drive to dd's on Thursday, and will stay there for a week. Will pack a scrappy bag, and hope to play with paper on Tuesday and Wednesday. Once I am sure everything is working as planned, I will set up an on line crop on one of those mornings. Will post a pop up crop thread with the link on the GS board. Today I puttered--in the scraproom and in the rest of the house. Got gramma's latest sketch done. Have printed off the others I have not yet attempted, and am starting to put together my page kits. (The page I put together today was supposed to be a kit; I was just going to cut the hexagons, but...) Tomorrow I need to do some more in the garden, but I might start doing a few mixed media backgrounds for pages I have in my head. I especially like doing that for water pages and I have quite a few lake photos to scrap. Hoping you are all having a good week. TTYL.

kellyr21 - you looked fabulous in the photo even if it wasn't quite what you had planned. Definitely an exciting weekend for you - glad you were able to celebrate with Japanese food. grammadee - sounds like you had a lovely busy weekend - with anopther busy week ahead. I don't do well with kits myself - I want to just finish the page once I've found the sketch/design and all the pieces. I'm sure you'll do beautiful mixed media backgrounds for your lake pictures! Yes- my girls have really struggled with the lack of socialising during the pandemic. DD21's friends are scattered with work and college and the couple that are still local were being cautious as were we so not getting together. She has online contact though and that helps some. DD14's little trio of art-y friends from school didn't have social media/phones yet at the beginning of the pandemic so she wasn't able to even chat or meet up online with them. None of them are in her classes this year but they hang out before the tardy bell for a few minutes every morning and they have FB now so they can chat on that. But I'm pleased that she connected well with the other girls in this troop and will get to spend time with them a couple of times each month. She's socially awkward (apple doesn't fall far from the tree - we both are and so are all 3 kids) so social stuff has always been hard for her. I managed to catch up on Sketchtember today -even did tomorrow's.

Wondering what you are up to, MARIBETHR? I have not been really good at keeping up with the boards. Have been out camping since last Wed came home Sunday, back to work on Monday. Printed out all the SKETCHtember sketches and am selecting photos for each. Completed #2 last night, will post shortly. Will be marathoning this weekend to catch up as off again the following Wed for another camping adventure.

Good Morning ladies! I'll need to go back and reread everything happening with everyone over the past weekend. The crop was fun, and I was NOT super speedy scrapper ( like I thought being at a crop would make me someone else??? ) LOL! I got about 4 pages done, and several in various stages of done. But it was great to have nothing else to do but play with pretty things. I learned some new to me ways to use stencils and there was an ink blending demo. Just being in a room full of like minded people was great! I took way too much stuff of course, but not nearly as much as others. By Sunday I was pooped and not too excited to scrap. Until I got back to the crop lol. We had an awesome goodie bag with two paper collections, a stamp set, thickers, stencil, all kinds of things. I'm not sure I would do that again, it's definitely easier to scrap at home and crop online. This is a Rudy weekend, and his bday is Monday, so I'm not sure what the plans are, but I'm so ready to do regular online crops again. Cody sent me some awesome pictures of Rudy from the tournament. He did great, his best kata yet and he's proud of himself as he should be. I spent yesterday unpacking everything and taking a three hour nap lol. But I felt refreshed and recharged mentally and emotionally from the weekend. Abby did great and was very chatty when Cody came to check on her and she wouldn't let me out of her sight Sunday night and yesterday. lol. OMG kitbop peeing on the bed is a thing?! I about died when I saw that! Thankfully she did not lol. kellyr21 I am so happy and excited for you! Love that pic of you with your art. That's so awesome! Linda that's great that DD has found a scout troop she's looking forward to participating with! I hope your joints don't give you too much trouble. I wish I could join in next week on the day time crop with you and @grandmadee. I hope you are able to get the feedback thing figured out, I so enjoy "seeing" you. I totally relate to the social awkwardness, I'm the same way to a degree. Going to this big crop was way outside my comfort zone for sure. But I met so many nice ladies. nylene that's terrible about Idaho! I had heard a little about that. I hope your brother doesn't have to find out, I hope he is able to stay healthy enough until this is under control. I get so mad/sad when I think about where we were a few months ago, and how it looked like we had turned the corner in this country. Now it is so much worse. I haven't shopped at Michael's in quite awhile, because they don't seem to get anything new. I do shop their sales on storage when they have them. grammadee I don't know how you do it all, but your kids sure are lucky to have you. I hope you get that scrapping time in while you're gone!

Good morning Pokeys. Glad you enjoyed the crop, joyfulnana. Can't wait to see the pages you created. What new techniques did you learn? Thanks for checking in, MARIBETHR. Hope you came back refreshed from camping. I am sure that in your "marathon" weekend, you will get another ton of pages done. You and Linda are amazingly productive. kellyr21 I am so happy and excited for you! Love that pic of you with your art. That's so awesome! Yes, ITA, kellyr21, you look AWESOME in that photo: no hint of your panic getting ready. Just spent the morning packing up scrappy stuff to take with me tomorrow. Some of it is in nice neat little kits with sketch/photos/papers/extras. Some of it is just packs of themed papers that I might be able to use with the other photos I am taking. Have a list of about ten topics that might end up in a LO or two or three of them, depending on how I split it up. A couple of sketches as yet unconnected in my mind to any of those topics or photos... Who am I kidding? I won't complete anywhere near the number of pages I have prepared for. Three days at home between school bus drop off and pick up sounds like alot of time, but there are still the pets to interrupt me, and I will need to figure in my possible low energy level as I never sleep solidly when responsible for a child. Off to town to pick up the mail and a few essentials for dh while I am gone, and to put in the mail some October bd cards.

I know way too much about over packing now lol. Stencil techniques were using them to add to the overall page design, or using a stencil as a stitching template. There was a lot of instruction on types of mediums you could use. I forgot that they also designed a paper collection for the event. I totally came home with that lol. I guess they are going to be offering lines for some of the narrower subjects that the big companies don’t offer. That will be pretty cool. Have fun while you’re away from home grammadee!!

I have a Baby Shower tomorrow night so quickly pulled together a card for it. I am posting it here as one of my 4 Pokey Peas projects. Baby Girl I'll come back and post 3 layouts soon. I seem to get further behind each day but have completed 12 pages so far this month. (pages, not challenges) That's really speedy for me. I have a few more in my mind that I want to do, but we will see.

Happy Friday! I hope you all are doing well today. I am tired but it is a good tired. This was a busy week for me and hope to relax this weekend. I did the Kelly Clarkson Show again on Wednesday. It was fun to be a part of the virtual audience again. I can't wait to see when this show will air. Today, I am working on some cards and art. Here is the video of my art gallery experience. I had fun putting this together. Take a look when you can. Video Link Heregrammadee - I am to know I am not the only one that gets all stressed trying to get dressed for exciting moments! LOL! I am so glad I had that top to thrown on at the last minute. joyfulnana - Sounds like you had fun and learned some new techniques. I love using my stencils. nylene - What a sweet card! Wow! You made 12 layouts this month? You are doing great! Go girl!

Just popping in to say HI quickly. We took DD14 for a covid test today - hopefully results will be back over the weekend and she'll be negative and can return to school - she's been home the past couple of days. I don't think she has covid but she has a headache, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, and now a runny nose so I wanted to be sure before sending her back.
So we'll be having a quiet, at-home weekend. I've been scanning and organising photos - that's an endless process I think.

kellyr21, I really enjoyed seeing your video about the art gallery and your art on display! Linda , I hope your DD is feeling better and doesn't have Covid. A quiet, at home weekend sounds wonderful to me. The shower last night was wonderful. This is my niece's first baby and she had lots of friends from work and church there. They served 4 different kinds of soup in Pumpkin-shaped soup tureens and everything was "pumpkin" themed. The mother-to-be was wearing a cute shirt with a glittered iron-on pumpkin and "little punkin" across her belly. Her sister-in-law went all out to make this fun. It was held outside with lots of space between people. I need to get my grocery shopping done early today. I have lots of housework I have put off all week and hope to have some time to scrap later. Have a great weekend, everyone!

homeschoolmum fingers crossed for DD. I hope she feels better soon!
nylene that’s great that the shower went well. It’s good to be sort of back to normal. Sort of lol. Glad you had a good time. 12 pages! Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever completed 12 pages in a month lol. I spend too much time deciding and over thinking every little detail.
grammadee that’s so cool that DGS wanted to scrap!
kellyr21 I will check out everything on your art show once I’m home. I love Kelly Clarkson. I’ve never seen her show but how cool you are in the audience again!!
I’m at Walmart waiting on my grocery order. Then some housework and hopefully some scrapping. Mom text she needs help with her Amazon account 😬lol.

Glad the test was negative, Linda. And I hope the symptoms of whatever she had are well gone by Monday. That baby shower really sounds like fun, nylene. Glad you had a good time. joyfulnana, I think the hardest part of IRL crops is the packing and then the unpacking. But I always come back full of creative ideas and energy. Glad you will be back to scrapping today. Last night justjac and I were able to join into a friend’s on line crop on Google Meet. So far I have been able to put together 3 LO’s with the kits I packed. I find even the transition of cleaning off my scrappy mess on the dining room table to slow me down: I am forever LOOKING for things I just put away. Won’t get anything done now til Tuesday. Dad is leaving on a business trip early Sunday morning, and there is no school on Monday, so no focused time for me until evening by which time I will be exhausted. Have a great weekend, Pokeys!

Happy Sunday! Hope you all are having a nice day. Thanks for you ladies that watched the art opening video. I enjoyed making it especially for fam/friends that won't be able to attend. The closing will be October 15 so I will be savoring everyday that my art is up. I am working on some new art and it is hard but I am playing around with the nose until I can figure it out. Here are some cards I made for my mil. Love the bright happy colors! Thinking Of You Cards by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr linda- Oh, I am so happy your dd is ok. Whew! Even the test and waiting is just nerve-raking! I hope this situation is over and behind us soon. Hang in there my friend! joyfulnana- Football is up and running. My dh has been enjoying it and fussing and stressing already about his teams! LOL! He is an Eagles fan. nylene- What a fun shower you attended! I like the t-shirt the mom to be wore. You described it perfectly!

oh Linda that is WONDERFUL news!! grammadee I didn't get a ton done, but I came back so relaxed and refreshed and ready to keep scrapping. I know I said IRL is not really my thing, but as I'm looking back through the pictures I took, I totally want to do this again. I want to do lots of IRL crops now lol. I think it has the same effect as our online crops - keeps me focused and in my seat. I have two sketches done yay! Now to see what else I can get done today. I'm debating whether or not to watch the Chiefs tonight lol.

Good morning, Pokeys! I have been lurking again. Linda that is good news about your DD. kellyr21 congrats on your art show. nylene your card for the shower is so cute. kitbop I still haven’t opened my box of goodies. I can’t t believe Crop & Create Delivered is taking sign ups for next spring starting in October! I don’t know if I have room for all the stuff. I’ve been busy rearranging and cleaning my desk area. Next weekend DH and his friend are replacing the window above my desk, so I have a lot of cleaning to do. I’ve been shopping a lot. I couldn’t resist buying some of Lawn Fawn’s new release from my LSS as well as some Stampin Up products from a virtual party grammadee and I were invited to. DH is back at work after being laid off for a few months. He’s very happy, but it’s taking us a while to get used to our new/old schedule. I am also at work. This year so far I only have five students who signed up to take their courses in class. A dozen have signed up for home study, but often they don’t stay on top of things and finish their assignments. We’ll see. Have a great week everyone.

can’t t believe Crop & Create Delivered is taking sign ups for next spring starting in October! Are you going to sign up? I think I will...I am enjoying the hoopla around this event, and find it motivating! I've taken Friday off next week to relax and enjoy all 3 days. Glad to hear your DH is back at work. My DH also will be heading back very soon, and it will be a huge adjustment again. Currently, he does all the shopping and drives us anywhere (including front-door drop off at work for me!) but when he goes back I have to drive and then walk 1km...in Ontario winter... ugh. Linda - so glad DD received a negative test result! It's all round scary again. We're running into patients who are anti-vaxxers and who think it's wrong that hospital staff should be required to have the vaccine to work there. To protect them. To keep healthcare...healthy. Our numbers are relatively low (looking at you grammadee and justjac ...stay well!) but still 1/4 of cases are in the fully vaccinated, and I am certainly up close and personal with covid+ patients. I am currently working on wedding invitation ideas/samples. A person I care about has requested I make her wedding invitations. They weren't planning to do invitations at all, but she loves my cards so thought she'd ask. They only need ~20 so it's not a huge undertaking. She wanted to pay: I said she'll only pay for supplies like the cardstock and envelopes. I'm happy to put my stash and skills to work for her. Anyways - colours are sage-y green and white. (a shift for rainbow-loving me!) And these are the 2 "mock ups" I've come up with so far. Can you PLEASE PLEASE give me some honest feedback! Like constructive objective feedback is NEEDED!! I really would appreciate the help. wedding invitations 1 by kirstendrew, on Flickr wedding invitation cover dots by kirstendrew, on Flickr **the flower wreath would be stamped directly in the card on real ones, not die cut out. wedding invitation cover acetate by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I'm sorry - I've been reading but not really posting. kitbop - those are both absolutely gorgeous. I would be hard pressed to decide which I liked better if I were your friend! You are so very talented! Stay safe at work - this is a scary time to be a health care worker. gramma - I'm a firm maybe for a weekend crop - I would LOVE to participate if the timing works out. I think we have a birdwatching thing on Saturday and then DD14 has an orienteering event on Sunday - with dropoff at 8am just over an hour away. Not sure what our plans are between dropoff and pickup at 4pm yet justjac - good to 'see' you on the thread. Hi to everyone else - it's hard to scroll up and down to read and then respond but I did read everyone's posts and loved the creations shared. Electricians came this morning. And fixed the issue with the foyer circuit so now our foyer and front door lights and outlets work again and so does the doorbell. They also replaced the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Next up will be getting an estimate to wire the new garage (same company - but different people do estimating vs repairing). There's always something with a house... We also went out this weekend to find our car with a flat tyre so will need to get that fixed as well - thankfully we have a second car (Mini Cooper) that DH drives to work but it's not as convenient to transport stuff as the Flex.

joyfulnana , I am glad you had a good weekend away. I hope you have time to put all those great ideas into layouts in the next few weeks. That would be a lot of fun. Did you meet some new scrappy friends? kellyr21 , I love your new cards. I will go look at them up close in the gallery. I'd love to know what you are painting now. I hope it goes well. Linda , so happy to hear that DD's test was negative. It seems like you are slowly getting all the little kinks worked out of the new home. There is always something that needs repair or replacement once you own a home. I'm glad you are well settled there, however. I talked to my DSIL techie about the feedback you are having in the chats. He asked if you had your sound turned on on the tablet. I turn mine off completely and the sound comes through the link. Just something to check out. I do that also when we watch movies thru the ipad on Plex. The sound comes from the TV, not the ipad. kitbop , your cards are incredible. You are extremely talented. I love the elegance of the regular sized card, but also love the look of something different in the tall card. Both are perfectly elegant. Either will be more beautiful than anything your friend could buy! I worry about your working around Covid patients. I am just in awe of the lack of masks here when we are having 2000 new cases every day. In the past 2 weeks we have been invited to 5 parties for various reasons and chose not to attend any except niece's baby shower outdoors and masked. As I have talked to other friends and neighbors, the other 4 parties were indoors and no masks. What are people thinking? Please stay safe. gramma , I am up for scrapping Friday night if that works out. I should be available on Sat also. Let me know what I can do to help. How is work going? grammadee , I know today is a busy day for you. I hope you have enjoyed being a gramma and have taken lots of photos. Let us know if you plan to start a crop in the next 2 days. justjac , I'm happy to hear that DH is back at work. It's too bad that you don't have more than 5 in-person students this year. It takes as much prep for 5 as for 20. I haven't looked at the new Lawn Fawn lines. I will need to go take a look. I hope you enjoy all your new goodies. As I walked in the house with arms loaded with groceries, a little water snake slipped in and hid in a corner. I put the groceries down to catch him and just glanced away a second and the little guy has disappeared. So somewhere in this house is a little snake. I don't dare tell my kids because some would not set foot in the house again.ever. I happen to like snakes so I am not worried, but I just hope he doesn't pop his little head out when Alex is here. We have an irrigation ditch behind the house so we do see snakes occasionally, but they have never been very close to the house. The little neighbor boys would catch them and ring the doorbell to show me. I hope he comes out and I can catch him and return him to his natural habitat. Poor thing.

Anyone up for a crop this weekend? Or Friday evening? I think I have the one hour limit thing figured out - but we'll need to test it. Missed this! Yes, I'd be down for Friday evening or another time - I can be flexible this weekend and would love to join.

grammadee , I know today is a busy day for you. I hope you have enjoyed being a gramma and have taken lots of photos. Let us know if you plan to start a crop in the next 2 days. Today was busy, but after artwork and Uno and filling up with gas at Costco and attending a movie and picking up supper at DQ, we walked the dogs, and dgs is whipping around the neighbourhood on his scooter for 20 minutes before he has to come in and get ready for hockey. I hope to set up a Google Meet tomorrow morning after dgs is on the bus and I can take a couple of breaths. My plan is to start one about 9:00am MDT. I will start a pop up crop thread on the GS board and tag you and Linda and anyone else who seemed interested when kitbop mentioned on a different thread there that I was thinking of doing a daytime crop session this week. It will shut down after an hour, but I can set up another session and post the link in the same thread.

grammadee, that sounds great. I think I can get myself in gear by then. I will have to take DH to work at 5:45 am and I should be able to do most of my tasks by 9:00. That's the only advantage of taking him to work this week. His ride is out for the week.
