Linda , so happy to hear that DD's test was negative. It seems like you are slowly getting all the little kinks worked out of the new home. There is always something that needs repair or replacement once you own a home. I'm glad you are well settled there, however. I talked to my DSIL techie about the feedback you are having in the chats. He asked if you had your sound turned on on the tablet. I turn mine off completely and the sound comes through the link. Just something to check out. I do that also when we watch movies thru the ipad on Plex. The sound comes from the TV, not the ipad. Thanks nylene. I do still have a list of things that need fixing (we have two doors DH replaced but wasn't able to properly re-hang, my dishwasher is broken, we need the garage to get power/water put in, ...) but we're getting there. Thanks for the advise on the tablet - I'll try it out. Good luck finding the snake. grammadee - sounds like a fun and busy day.

Good Morning! Oh kitbop those invitations are both so lovely, but the "yes, we do" is my favorite. It's so beautiful! And probably more work too. gramma I slept through the game Woke up to see they had lost lol. I don't seem to watch much during the regular season, but watch more during the playoffs. What time were you thinking on Friday? I should be able to catch part of it. I have pages I've been too lazy to post and I really want to check out the gallery. I've been such a slacker around here lately lol.

gramma, the link stayed open for over 2 hours this morning. I wonder if the 1 hour limit is just on weekends. It was fun scrapping with you grammadee and Linda. We even had some new peas join in today. Thanks for setting it up, grammadee. I have downloaded the app so maybe I can try it out and host one too.

Happy Tuesday! Waving hi to ya all! My grief got triggered last night by something I heard on TV and boy is it tough today. I am just taking it easy and riding it out. Grief is so strange how you can be moving along feeling fine and then boom. Accepting all hugs today! kitbop- I love both of your cards and I can't decide. They both offer different feelings and either choice for your friend will be amazing. The gold metallic really is a beautiful accent. So lovely! joyfulnana- Oh, we watched the game and it is one of my favorite match ups. Those two QB's are awesome. Sorry the Chiefs lost but hopefully they will make it to the Super bowl. It's gonna be here in LA! My in-laws literally live next door to the stadium and I am sure they won't be happy about any extra traffic during Super bowl week. linda- How are the kittens today? nylene- A SNAKE??? OMG! I know it is a harmless snake but you are so brave! I hope that little guy leaves or you all find it so you can help it back out to nature. LOL! Well, I guess we all need a little excitement from time to time. LOL! justjac- Glad to hear your dh is back at work. It is an adjustment but I know it will get better.

kellyr21 I'm so sorry you got knocked off balance. And I'm sorry your mom isn't here to see you displaying your art in a show. big hugs friend. I'm also sorry your in laws live near the stadium lol. I mark all the home games and times on my calendar so I know when it's good to get out lol. I can't believe I forgot to mention your snake nylene. A snake!! no way, I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing one was inside lol. But Abby is pretty good at stalking moths and such so maybe she would take care of it lol. grammadee it sounds like you all had some fun yesterday at the morning crop. It sounds like quite a few joined in. Did it kick you out after two hours? I was floored the first time I saw the one hour time limit, and was NOT adept at getting the next meet set up before the first one ended lol. gramma I work until 5:00 PM your time, so I would be able to join in on the last half or so. I need a kick to get me going for sure. Why does it feel like Friday suddenly?? Big wishful thinking on my part and ready to get to what seems to be shaping up to be a scrappy weekend around here I think lol.

Happy Thursday! Yesterday was better and today is ok so far. Thank you linda and joyfulnana for your hugs. They helped! Today, I am working on my new art. I have been working on this art in my head and my sketch pad for over a month. Finally, I started it on canvas last week. This is for another artist call in my city by a different group. They will be showcasing it for the opening night of our orchestra. Then theme is/are "keys." All the art has to have "keys" integrated into the art's theme. I don't know if mine will be selected but I thought I would try and see what happens. If not, I will have another art piece to encourage me and those I share it with. (Good attitude right? ) LOL! msliz- Waving hi! Haven't seen ya in a minute. knutschen- How are you these day? justjac- How is work going? Have adjusted being back at school? nylene- Your layout in the gallery with your dh, dgs and dggs is just priceless! OMG, how special are they to share the same birthday. Love it! Also, the flowers on my last cards I got from Amazon. I wish I would make them, too. So pretty! Waving hi and hope you all are having a good day/evening!

kellyr21, I am so sorry that Tuesday was not a good day for you. I wish I had seen your note that day to send love and hugs to you. Grief is so hard. It seems to pop up and take over at inconvenient times, but grieving is a necessary process when we lose those we love so much. It will get better as time goes on. I am sending belated hugs. I hope the rest of the week goes better. I am excited about your new art. "Keys" is a very interesting subject. I can't wait to see what you do with it. joyfulnana, I have a bug man who comes and sprays 4 times a year. We used to have 2 very poisonous spiders in the area when our children were young. We started it then, and have just continued. If I knew a huge spider was loose in my house I would have to move out...but snakes don't bother me. Silly, huh? I mentioned to him that we had a small snake get in and I could tell he was nervous. I just didn't want it to frighten him if he came upon it in a basement corner. I don't dare tell anyone else. (especially my girls) I have done a lot of scrapping this week, but I just get farther behind in the sketches. I have really enjoyed the scrappy time, however. I need to run fix dinner. I'll be back later.

nylene- I think we were posting at the same time! LOL! Great minds think alike. Thank you for the hugs. I can still use it today. This is my first big moment without her and it has been tough. But, I know she would have been so excited to go to the event and cheer for me. She loved my art and encouraged me.

Do you ever have the feeling that you are falling behind in EVERYTHING? I just noticed that I have apparently missed dusting several rooms. How can dust accumulated so quickly. I need to spend some quality time doing housework and I am getting further behind in Sketchtember. I have family b-day cards to make too. My scraproom which looked pretty good 2 weeks ago is a total disaster. I think I just need about 5 more hours in every day!
I have really enjoying scrapping online with some of the Pokey Peas and new peas. It really relaxes me and although I don't always get a lot done, it's great therapy!
I hope you all have a great week planned for this week. Hugs!

Do you ever have the feeling that you are falling behind in EVERYTHING? YES so much so. I still haven't made my sample for tomorrow's sketch, I did NOT finish the laundry or housework today, I have several long-overdue letters to write, it's almost October and I never did make any summer clothes for myself, DD14 and my sister have birthdays next weekend and I'm SO unprepared.....and so much more. We took TWO roundtrips into the city today (and one yesterday) so I was squeezing in housework in between. Yesterday we went to REI to get an orange hat and trail trousers for DD for today - neither were available locally. Then today we dropped her off at 8 and picked her up at 4 - it's an hour-ish each way and we filled up before we left yesterday and the fuel light pinged as we pulled into the driveway tonight - yikes. Hoping to scrap after dinner so I can get my sketchtember sketch posted but can't stay up too late as I have a 720 appt (please be 15 min. early) - next time I need to remember that the doctor opens at 7 and not ask for an early appt (I assumed 8 or 9 like most places)

This month has gone by so quickly! September is the month I ride my bike to raise money for the fight against kid's cancer. My goal is to ride 100 miles and I have gotten in 94 miles so far. Tomorrow, I will wrap up my challenge with a 6-mile bike ride! Today, I was so excited after my ride because I rode 1 mile faster today than I have been. 🔥 😊
I did go to We Create crop here in Springfield. It was a fun weekend!! I didn't get much done but I didn't have the time to preplan as I had liked. I did complete one layout and it was one of the ones they handed out the paper and emailed the instructions. I will have to post it when I have more time. I got my little printer working but feel I need to upgrade. The upgrade is expensive.
A week ago today, I had an Aunt pass away. She had cancer and was doing okay till one day she got really sick. She ended up in the hospital then went to an assisted living. She went downhill and got confused and combative with staff. She is buried not far from my house with her daughter and husband. 😞
I am at the coffee shop and they are about to close. I am glad I have one more day off work. I need to get back home to make dinner and also start some laundry. I hope to check in again soon.

Glad you stopped in, knutschen. Good job with your fund raising. ((((HUGS)))) on the loss of your aunt. And (((((Hugs))))) to you, too, kellyr21. All those firsts are hard. But I know she is watching you, smiling, and feeling so proud. It was good to see some of you on line this week. I haven't scrapped since Tuesday morning. I need to get my sample put together for this upcoming Thursday. I have the sketch chosen, the photos selected, and the papers pulled out. Just need to DO it. I know what you mean about being perpetually behind, nylene. But I keep telling myself that scrapping is a hobby and it is supposed to be fun, so whether or not I get anything "accomplished", if I played for awhile, that is a big WIN. I think I feel the most guilty about being so behind in comments. I have seen SO many awesome pages here this past few weeks, and have said so little about any of them... Seems like when I am done spending time with dd & family and doing garden work all I want to do is crash. We dug the potatoes this weekend, and they are all in our basement now, so that is one big job finished. Yesterday I made a couple of pans of lasagna from tomatoes that have ripened. We ate one and sent one home with dd's family. There will be more tomatoes ready by this upcoming weekend, so I will do another big batch then. Dgs and I baked a couple of carrot cakes and a bunch of muffins today. Tomorrow or Tuesday we need to dig out another couple of buckets of carrots to get ready for winter keeping. Maybe some of them will end up in some baking, too. Don't know if it is good or bad news that I now have a new house cleaner booked. The lady I had come in once per month before got a real job, so I have had no one for several months. The new lady is planning to start a week from Monday. Now I will need to clean up for her before she gets here, but...

Happy Monday! Got no housework/organizing done, but managed to get a couple of scrappy "should"s completed: my sample for Thursday and a card to put in the mail tomorrow for my dgd's birthday early in October are finished. Just need to photograph and post. Oh and I figured out which sketches I have yet to attempt and have printed them off and written on notes about the Twists. Won't get to them this month--or at least not ALL of them--but now I have them all in one place when I need them.
Wishing all the Pokeys a wonderful week!

Happy Tuesday! Waving hi to you all! We had a nice weekend. Thanks for all the hugs, too. I do feel better but taking it slow. Friday night, I had fun with you Peas in the chat/crop. Thanks gramma for hosting it. I got a lot done and had fun. Saturday, we went to the gallery to see my art and take some time to see all the other art and read their stories. I met two other artists and we chatted. One of the guys showed me his painting from a previous show and it was stunning! We have some wonderful talent in this city. I am still working on new art to submit this Sunday for another local show. Not sure how it is gonna turn out but having fun giving it a try. So this week, all my play time is dedicated to getting this art done. knutschen- That bike ride you did for the kids sounds so cool. Sounds like you get to break up the 100 miles into shorter distances until ya get it done. That a awesome thing to do. Sorry for your loss. linda- I look forward to seeing you in one of the upcoming crops. I saw joyfulnana on Friday and her big and beautiful cat and thought of you and your fur babies. nylene- I think most of us have lost track at home with everything going on and less visitors. I have dust everywhere, too. LOL! I hope to get some vacuuming and cleaning this week. grammadee- Your garden work is turning into so delicious food. I wish you could send us all some of that lasagna! LOL! Thanks for the hugs and encouragement. It meant a lot.
