missing Gabby Petito from Wyoming, traveled in van with bf

Not so much anymore. Your soc is all your bank accounts in the US. They likely know/knew his details w/in hours of getting the warrants.

     I mentioned it on page 8 but in my usual lengthy prose so I doubt any Peas picked it up-that's my fault.  I think it looks like him but it's hard to tell with the photo being so blurry. According to the news articles I read the Sheriff's department in that area (I think they said it's 500 miles from Brian's parents home) searched the area and found nothing. I'm not sure how well they searched and I wish it's been the FBI doing the searching. That's a lot of land to cover.

It makes sense to me that his parents could have misdirected the police from the get go to the reserve near their home, while much earlier his father could have driven Brian to this area (500 miles from their home) and let him out of the car to go hiking and camping in that wooded area and hide. If he knows how to camp, fish and hunt he could disappear in a wooded area that big for a long time without being found. To me it sounds like a better idea to hide there and stay off the roads and any flights if he didn't have a passport-as far as evading the police. 

    Suspicious yes, but in their minds (I think) better than their son leaving a paper trail making withdrawals from an ATM that will show his location. 

    As far as how did they fund their trip? Gabby and Brian were both working at Publix and they saved up money for the trip. 

     I really want to watch this so I looked it up and the show is on Discovery+ (sadly, not regular channels) but they have a free week long trial. I just signed up for it. The show is called "In Pursuit with John Walsh". When you sign up you can choose with commercials or without. I chose without because I've been debating about signing up for this channel for awhile anyway. 

Ooh, let us know what you think.  I want to sign up for the free trial, but I suck at remembering to cancel those things.

I've been reading about this case on websleuths.com (first time I was ever on this site) and I read a comment over that Brian has a sailboat. I haven't confirmed that and it was just one comment by a poster. My latest theory is what if Brian used that sailboat to sail to Cuba (it's not that far from southern Florida)? Cuba does not have an extradition treaty with the USA. Even without a passport he could possibly sneak onto the island if he was really desperate and in this situation heck, I'd say he was seriously desperate. 

It would take 15 hours to sail from Florida to Cuba in a sailboat. It's not legal to sail to Cuba in a private sailboat so maybe my theory is all wrong. What about Mexico though? Mexico does have an extradition treaty with the USA and it would take a lot longer to sail from Florida to Cancun-5 days. 

Also, the police could have easily checked to see if the sailboat was still at the parents home. Just thinking about different ways he could have gotten away and hidden. 

    That's inexcusable in my opinion, but I forget that the Florida police are not like the police elsewhere. I'm very detailed oriented so I tend to put myself in those situations, forgetting that not everyone is detail oriented. My mistake. 

    In the websleuths.com forum I was just reading someone suggested Cuba, but someone else just responded to that post saying he'd get caught right away if he went there, because of their strict policy of not letting anyone in unless you are in a designated tour group that is approved ahead of time and you have to be an educator or a doctor to get in those groups. They did suggest Mexico though as a possibility. 

I think they have NO responsibility - unless they broke the law by obstructing justice and lying to investigators.

The more that I read about his family, the creepier they seem.

He’s responded it wasn’t him - it’s marked as uploaded by a woman ( Cindi something I think ) and he sates he therefore can’t remove it. He is adamant his website is his only means of advertisement abd he wouldn’t use Gabby’s photo like that.

I think he would have to ‘own’ the photo to remove it off his Yelp ? Is that right?

I just read an article that another witness has come forward saying that Brian and Gabby were arguing in a restaurant the same day that the van was spotted by the road. And that Brian was being very argumentative and aggressive with staff members over the bill.

I can't keep up on Websleuths. Those threads move SO fast!

At this point we don't know if these witnesses are friends of the family, or what.  I'd only believe the FBI or the local police if they say that he came in to give an initial statement, etc.  I'm just not buying it........

           What a let down! The show never aired on "In Pursuit with John Walsh". It was really strange. I caught part of a interview on CNN at 8:00 pm with John Walsh talking about this case and his theories and he mentioned that he'd have further information tonight (last night) on his show at 10:00 pm. He said his show. After I couldn't find it I thought maybe it was on a special show on CNN or something like that and I missed it, but I clearly remember him saying "his show". Each Wednesday a new episode airs and last night's episode had nothing to do with this case. I looked everywhere on his show and nothing resembling this case was on it. 

I'm disappointed because I really want to watch this show. What I heard him say during that CNN short interview sounds like what I've been thinking. John Walsh thinks Brian isn't in that swamp, was never in that swamp-that it's a red herring given by the parents to the police to give Brain more time to escape and hide. He says he knew Gabby was an being abused by Brain from the minute he saw the cop video and he got chills from that video. He also said it'll be the public that helps to locate Brian. 

I'm going to do some searching on Google to see if I can find this show. Did any other Peas find it and watch it?

PS. Just checked Google again and it says the show was on "In Pursuit with John Walsh". How very odd.
