Hallmark has announced the first half of their new Christmas movie schedule and I am way too excited to see that there is a sequel to my all time favorite, The Nine Lives of Christmas! Or as I call it, "the one where a hunky fireman adopts a stray cat". The sequel is called The Nine Kittens of Christmas and the original stars are returning.

I loved the original, too. I’ve been buying some of my favorite movies on dvd lately and saw that The Nine Lives of Christmas on Amazon is almost $100!!! That’s crazy. I’m looking forward to the sequel because I really like Kimberly Sustad. And, well, kittens!

You aren’t alone. I wish Hallmark would rerelease the original on DVD. I love all the sappy shows - well many of the recent ones aren’t as good and just drag but then another will be really good but it seems less are really good. I hope they fo the sequel justice. I love the holiday shows.

Even though I am never ready for fall or Christmas (I am in denial that summer is officially over), I do love Christmas movies! My favorite was on Lifetime years ago and was called The Christmas List with Mimi Rogers. That's never one anymore. My daughter bought me some dvd version she found online (not a good copy), but we are happy to have it and love to watch.

I like Nine Lives of Christmas because it doesn't have snow. At least 70% of the population of the contiguous United States live in places that don’t have snow by Christmas. But, if you watch Hallmark Christmas movies, you could assume that Christmas cannot happen without snow.

I guess it’s time to resubscribe to the Hallmark Now app. We’ve had like 3 hallmark movies filmed in our town in the last 2 years, I hope they come out this season.

Off to google ! Can’t wait for them to start. Thanks for the update ! I'm sorry, I should have included a link! nypost.com/2021/09/22/hallmark-christmas-movies-2021-full-list-and-schedule/The description for The Nine Kittens of Christmas says "Cat lovers Zachary (Brandon Routh) and Marilee (Kimberley Sustad) are thrown back together at Christmas when they’re tasked with finding homes for a litter of adorable kittens." Is it weird that I'm upset that apparently things didn't work out after the first movie and they need to be "thrown back together"?

But I guess at the end they are having an outdoor pet adoption event, and if there was snow it would be too cold for that. I always get hung up on the fact that there is no way there would be an adoption event on Christmas Day! Probably the reason I never noticed there was no snow was that I was busy looking at A. The cats and B. The hunky fireman. (In no particular order)

That app doesn’t include the new movies. You need to sub to something that had the actual channels. Frndly includes them snd I think Philo does to.

It will list all of the Christmas movies and you click on an old one so it tells you when it will be shown next. Then I DVR it.

I hope "thrown back together" doesn't mean there was no HEA in movie one-- especially after that final scene with the fire truck

So hopefully they just had a misunderstanding! Or maybe he had to go fight fires for underpriviledged children in a third world country? The original came out 7 years ago. I wonder if the sequel is set 7 years later? And what took so long to do a sequel anyway? How many Christmas in Evergreen movies are there now, and the original of that is much more recent.

I had read the book Nine Lives of Christmas before it was made into a movie. It's a bit different than the movie but I like the movie because of the main leads. Fingers crossed it's a good sequel!

Michelle Vickery, the former head of programming, said they weren't going to make any Christmas movies without snow.

Is anyone watching? There is also a new channel with 12 new movies. GAC Family the previous head of Hallmark moved to this channel. They start this weekend on the new channel and last weekend on Hallmark. Between the Hallmark channels, GAC, UP, Lifetime and Netflix I don’t think I will be able to keep up once they are all showing them.
