A Southwest Airlines pilot reportedly told passengers 'Let's Go Brandon' as he signed off on a flight from Houston, Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The pilot, whose name has not been released, was seen on TikTok video apparently telling the passengers about the weather outside as they landed.
'We're heading east at about 107 or 108mph,' the pilot, whose face is pixelated in the video, says. 'Clear visibility, mostly clear skies, about 77 degrees.'
'Thanks for coming out, flying Southwest Airlines, welcome home and let's go Brandon.'
In a statement to DailyMail.com, a spokesperson for the airlines said: 'The Southwest Team takes pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, and respectful environment for the millions of customers who fly with the airline each year and behavior from any individual that is divisive or offensive is not condoned.'
Could you imagine doing this at your job? Any job where that would be okay? And you are trusting your life with this pilot?
They would not speak about the specific incident.

I’m hoping he didn’t know the meaning behind it. I know the meaning but there have been a few times when I really didn’t know the meaning behind things. That said this is one of the sayings that just really pushes my buttons right now.

Lawsuits and sick outs. That’s why SW has had so many cancelled flights.

He needed to shut the fuck up and land the plane. I would have stopped at the cockpit to ask why he said that, because that's bullshit.

What does "Let's go Brandon" mean? I've been seeing it on social media comments but don't know what the context is.

Did not know what it was.
But there is also the issue of filming himself while in charge of the plane and while landing!!

The term 'Let's Go Brandon' has exploded in conservative circles in recent weeks, after a reporter at a NASCAR race at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama seemed to mistake chants of 'F*** Joe Biden,' for 'Let's Go Brandon,' after Brandon Brown, a 28-year-old driver won his first Xfinity Series.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let's_Go_Brandon My brother’s wife posted a pic of herself proudly wearing a T-shirt with this on the front, thinking she was so clever. I had to unfollow her. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, but I don’t have to subject myself to hatefulness.

I just want to point out that it originated at NCAA college football games before the NASCAR incident.

The fact that someone who is smart enough to fly a plane could be so stupid is amazing. Most people don’t find “Let’s go Brandon” clever or funny. It’s junior high level humor.

Some folks will do anything to "belong" to a team, I guess.

That is misinformation. linkNot from the people I know who are actually in the union 🤷🏻♀️ Why do you think SW dropped the plan? Because of the protests by the union.

He is someone we hired to do a job. Fucking weird.

Ooh, how shocking to hear that this originated in Talladega. How classy of them. No matter how much people detested TFG, I don't recall them using that language in a public place meant to celebrate sports. It's just ridiculous now. Sorry, but most of these assholes don't even realize how Joe Biden is impacting their lives in a positive way! Idiots!

The fact that someone who is smart enough to fly a plane could be so stupid is amazing. In this day and age, how people can be so stupid amazes me every single time. You know that whatever you do in public is very likely to be caught on camera these days. You know how easily videos are shared and spread. You know how these days people online want heads to roll for every little transgression and that companies pretty much feel forced to fire any employee who goes viral in a negative way. So why in the world would you purposely say something you know will tick off/offend people while on the job? It's like you're asking to be fired. I mean, really, people get fired for appearing on camera doing stupid things while NOT at work, so if you do them while actually AT work, then I guess you're just extra brilliant.

I hate Trump but would never deface my property or vehicle (or myself with a shirt) expressing my dislike or my support for a politician (besides maybe a bumper sticker).

I bought a candle that says "Fuck Ted Cruz," but I wouldn't display it outside my home. It's for my enjoyment and I bought it to support a small business. These people are so weird. The pilot should be fired immediately. That's what would happen to any teacher who tried that nonsense.

There was a group of (old white) people standing at an intersection where I live with bullhorns walking around holding Stop Socialism and other signs. One of their signs said “#Let’s Go Brannon”. I mean come on. You look stupid enough. At least get your signs right.

So, I think she meant “F Joe Biden” started earlier, and then when they chanted “F Joe Biden” at NASCAR, it was misheard as “Let’s go Brandon.” So, now they chant “Let’s go Brandon” when what they really mean is “F Joe Biden.” But, I am just guessing at what she meant.

Ummmm, because the whole thing started with people chanting Fuck Joe Biden at sports events. Yeah, but it didn’t become Let’s Go Brandon until NASCAR. The NASCAR fans weren’t chanting Let’s Go Brandon and they didn’t start the trend. College kids made videos of people chanting Fuck Joe Biden go viral. NASCAR fans did the same thing. I just think it’s silly for anyone to be like oh yea, of course NASCAR started it.
