It’s late and I’m feeling reminiscent, so tell us your story of how you became a Pea. How/when did you get here, did you/do you scrapbook? Anything else we should know?
I heard about 2Peas sometime in 2000. I had been scrapbooking for a year or two, and the site was brought up at either a crop or at a LSS, so I checked it out, I was here for a decent amount of time before I registered, I think I only registered in order to place an order for product.
Boy, the craziness that went on back then. The arguments, the cliques. 😖 But overall, we’ve gotten a lot wiser and kinder over the years IMO. I didn’t really get active on the boards till about 2005 when I took up photography much more seriously than in the past. I loved the old 2peas photography board and how helpful and kind everyone one with one another.
I started to transition out of scrapbooking in probably 2006-ish as my interest in photography grew. When we prepared to move in 2008, I knew i was done with scrapbooking so I sold and donated all my scrapbooking supplies. Like many of us, I loved shopping at LSS, and almost had the contents of a small one in my craft room 😉 so I have to admit it was a little painful to watch all that $$$ go down the drain.
Now I get a quick annual paper-crafting fix by participating in the holiday card exchange. It’s *just* enough.
I haven’t scrapbooked in 13+ years, but it’s still nice hanging around here! Who’s next?

I married in June 2003 and immediately moved to Arizona from California. I knew no one here except my new husband, who was at work all day. I was working on scrapbooking our wedding and found my way here in September and the peas quickly filled my need for friendship. I believe I had actually been around during my engagement but couldn’t remember the password for my login so I restarted as a newlywed.
I haven’t scrapbooked in over a decade, save for one small attempt when my first son was born.

On a whim, I started scrapbooking in 1999.
I believe I found an ad for the site in the back of a CK magazine I bought that first day.
I think I had an account late 99 or early 2000, and I think I ordered something. I believe I did read some on the SBR board at that point.
I believe I found the NSBR board after 9/11 and lurked. My sign up date was 2002 (I think because the boards switched, and I believe I made my first post at that time).
Over the years, I participated by posting layouts, Being on thr NSBR, SBR, Pub and Photography boards.

I found 2 Peas looking for Disney scrabooking ideas, when we bought our first annual passes to Disneyland in 2005. It was a couple of years before I dipped my toe into the NSBR side, and lurked for a very long time.

I started scrapbooking at the end of Jan. 2002. I had just suffered a miscarriage, during my first pregnancy, and I needed something FUN to throw myself into and enjoy. I was literally wandering the aisles at Michaels, trying to find a hobby to try. I ended up in the scrapbook aisle and the rest was history. I found 2peas about sometime in Feb. 2002, when Twistel? Twistle? (I think it was?) was all the rage, and I joined a swap so I could get as much of that stuff as possible, lol.
My original pea name was something else entirely, but had my last name in it. I got pregnant again as soon as I could after the miscarriage, and had my first baby in December 2002. I remember logging back into 2peas shortly after having my son, and being thrilled to change my username to seansmommy....it was still incredible to me, and surreal, that I was ANYONE'S mommy, lol. (And 11 years later, when I had my daughter, I had to change my user name again!)
For a long while, I mostly read and posted on the scrapbook board only. When I started reading on NSBR, I mostly just lurked. My actual scrapbooking tapered off, and I don't think I've touched any of it since maybe 2014-2015. I still do some creative journaling, though.
I've told my husband for years that, collectively, I think the Peas know everything. If one of us doesn't know, we know someone who does. I've learned so much from everyone here, and seeing viewpoints that were completely unlike my own has been a big part of that. I don't seem to post even half as much as I read, but I'm here almost every day. From things I've purchased that make my life a little bit easier, to sharing world events...it really is a small thing that has been a big part of my life for almost (gasp!) 20 years now!

When I first found 2peas, I was only a buyer. I needed help with an order and I accidentally found nsbr board. There was a thread about a house with mirrors everywhere. I was hooked! It was in 2000, I think.

I don’t know when I joined, but I was a scrapper at the time and someone told me about the place. I was a lurker, never posted, and I don’t even remember my name. I then found my way to the NSBR board and got hooked on all the major drama during that time. I think I joined sometime around the tail end of the Lady Stars incident, is that the right name? And there are a few other members that I will never forget. 😆

We were stationed in Germany in 2001, and the only way to get good scrapbooking supplies was to order them online. I initially was a shopper with 2Peas and then joined the boards. I think I pretty quickly got sucked into the NSBR board. The good times there helped me get through some homesickness. I’ve been here ever since, some years more active than others, and it’s stayed a constant in a life of many changes and moves 😊.

I went to a CM home party in 1997 and started scrapbooking at that time. I remember frequenting an AOL scrapbook message board shortly after and someone there mentioned 2 peas. I think I joined 2peas in 2006 but mostly lurked.

My daughter was 15 or 16 and she told me about the board. She was never a Pea but I had started scrapping and thought I might like it. She will be 40 soon so I'd say around 25 years. I stopped scraping around 2012 and probably around 2010 was when I started here. Maybe earlier.

My mom took me to a Creative Memories party when my kids were really small. 1999-ish. I was hooked.
The internet was relatively new to me. We had dial up, which tied up our phone line when the internet was in use. I heard about this site called Jangle, which was all about scrapbooking. Through Jangle I heard about d'Marie and there I heard about 2peas.
2peas was a whirlwind but gosh, was it fun...most days. There were some pretty awful people in the mix and some very interesting ones as well. I feel like this board is the very best of the old board.
I remember that threads moved at the speed of light back then. I remember staying up late, reading up on what I'd missed during the day, and howling with laughter over things like the Baby Jesus story and "Once, when I was pregnant..." the tear bears, and the Thanksgiving turkey pick up story.
I joined when I was 36 and I'm 57 now. That's kinda a long time!

I’ve been a scrapper pretty much forever, and was so excited to find a store on my town in about 1998. I had previously used any colored paper or anything could find. From the store I found, I started taking classes and going to their crops just to meet people. I am still friends with these people, in fact I’m at a retreat weekend now with the owner of that store (she closed the store years ago for personal reasons). A friend I met at the store knew about 2 Peas and told me about you all. That was maybe on 2003, I don’t remember for sure. I was very bummed when the site closed, and very happy to find this new site again later!

Had my son in Jan 2001. I was already scrapbooking and was looking about on my computer for ideas and came across 2Peas. It took me no time to fall for the snark on NSBR. I was mostly a lurker, but read a lot. I haven't scrapbooked in years, as I really didn't enjoy it very much.

I learned about the original message board on the Aol scrapbooking message board.
My original pea number was under 100. I lost that, when the board crashed and I had to re-register.
I have been scrapbooking 25+ years. I still scrapbook. My time actively scrapbooking ebbs and flows, from daily-ish....to I don't touch it for a couple/few months.
I was also on jangle, dmarie, lifetime moments, unscrappable, and a couple private two peas spin-off boards and a couple private unscrappable spin off boards.

I'm not quite sure how I found the original site, I'm guessing from a search for scrapbooking. I joined at the end of 2004 but had been lurking for a little while before that. I'll be completely honest and say that, for the most part, NSBR scared the pants off me, so I'd read but almost never post, and I mostly stayed on the SBR side. There were some fabulous thread derailments I saw happen in real time thanks to the time difference, and I especially enjoyed the ones that went south over the weekend. I still scrapbook, more now than I did then, and I'm no longer scared of the NSBR peas.

When I got the original Canon digital rebel, I went looking for assistance learning the digital curve, as I was already a film photographer.
I spent a lot of time on another site, and someone shared a link to the Peas photo board. It was such a wealth of helpfulness. It took several years before I ventured over to NSBR. I thought people were crazy there. My best guess this was 19 years ago.
I finally started posting more, and then when some difficult things happened, I changed my name and got some personal advice.
I must admit, sometimes I miss the old, crazy nsbr.

I was introduced to scrapbooking about 20 years ago. I joined scrapbook dot com (among others) and kept reading references to 'the Peas' and curiosity took me to the original 2 Peas site. SB . com was great but very tame, almost to the point of being ridiculous when anything other than gushing praise was viewed as being mean and nasty so I started spending more time with the scary but much more entertaining Peas I stopped paper scrapping partly because of how much money I was spending on it and partly because I was very drawn to digital and I happily did that for a few years but I haven't done any for quite a few years now. Maybe one day...

I’ve always been into crafting but never really found a specific craft that suited me. I moved from the UK in October 2001 to live in New York City for a year. We moved with my husband’s work and at that time I wasn’t allowed to work. I spent all day watching QVC. I ordered a Kim & Co scrapbooking kit on a whim and became immediately hooked. As I was in the city there were no LSS, so I ordered all my supplies online. I joined 2 peas purely to buy stash! I used to read all the comments but very rarely commented.
Over the years I have scrapbooked on and off, I have over 35 12x12 albums completed and about 6 project life albums. After a gap of a few years I have just finished my wedding album and am now working on a heritage album with old family photos from 1860 onwards.

I was looking for some My Mind's Eye paper not long after I started scrapbooking just after DD2 was born, so 17 years ago now. At the time there was only one online store that stocked it in the UK but they didn't have the particular range I was looking for. While searching for it I came across 2 peas gallery. So much inspiration to be had on there that I still miss it. The gallery in turn led me to the store and that in turn led me to the board. I lurked for years on there before I dared post anything but even at the end I wasn't a very frequent poster. I do still scrapbook and just wish I had more time to do so now. I am getting through this mountain of stash I have, slowly, some of which really needs to be donated as I have no idea why I bought some of it but I liked it at the time

Let's see... My college roommate invited me to a CM party at her house after she and her DH moved to where they live now but it was before my oldest was born so maybe late 1997 or early 1998. I got VERY into scrapbooking. I had a big craft area, tons of supplies, and made a lot of books. I remember shopping at an LSS near where I worked from 2000-2004 so I know I was still working on them then. But it began to fade as a hobby around 2006 I believe.
I honestly do no remember how I found 2Peas. Probably either shopping or surfing another board. I have loved the internet from the day it was "born" and I remember actively logging on and reading list serves as early as 1995ish

I learned about scrapbooking in 1995 when I attended a CM party. I was hooked! Even in the beginning their style wasn’t a good fit for me so a few years later I found Creating Keepsakes magazine. There was an add for 2Ps in the bag of the magazine. I tried dMarie and was met with extreme rudeness from the very beginning so was very leery of message boards. I lurked for a LONG time before ever posting. I still don’t post often but I can’t even fathom the amount of knowledge I’ve gained from this board-good or bad! Lol
ETA: I still scrapbook and make cards. It’s my therapy. I have a great group of friends who are along for the ride as well.

I started modern scrapbooking in 2003. I had done some old school scrapbooking with the black pages and no embellishments or pretty papers. I am sure I started by looking at the gallery for inspiration. I was too afraid to post on the NSBR board for a long time, just lurking.

Way back when we still had dial-up internet I started scrapbooking with Creative Memories (in fact, I might have started CM before we had any internet). Once we got the magic of dial-up, lol, I discovered Scrapbookaddict.com. I'm still friends with quite a few of the women from there. So many of them didn't even have kids yet and now those kids are off in college. wow... Anyway, then I discovered dMarie and I'm pretty sure they had forums there. After Scrapbookaddict closed I mostly spent time at dMarie, and through them I heard about Two Peas. I lurked forever though... that crowd was too rough for me. I don't really remember when I came out of lurkdom, although it was before Two Peas closed so abruptly.

I was switching channels on tv and saw scrapbooking on QVC--the gal was showing an Anna Griffith kit and I ordered one. This was mid 90s--I used the kit to make my sister a wedding album (she married in 1997). There was a Creating Keepsakes mag in the kit and a link to scrapbookaddict.com, I joined the site and shortly afterward found dMarie and 2Peas. There have been several other sites come and go, but I've always stuck with the Peaboard --I love it here:) I haven't scrapbooked or made cards for years, have sold and donated many supplies, but have kept enough that I could get back to it and not buy anything for a long time...

I also used to visit the AOL boards. At that time I was still teaching, and there were some great ideas, by grade or subject, on those boards. I found the scrapbooking board there among other art topics available, and noticed many people mentioning Two Peas in a Pod. I remember wondering why they were talking about a maternity store, so I searched and found it.
I also remember the time I was smacked down for saying something negative about Kelly Lee Ripa twerking for Halloween. You learn quickly which are the sacrosanct topics! I stayed away for a couple of years after that after getting my feelings hurt, but eventually returned (with armor firmly attached).

I was in law school and had a summer job at the public defender’s office in New Hampshire; my husband had graduated already and was working where we (usually) lived, in NYC, so I was by myself for the summer — this would have been 1999. I had started knitting that year for stress relief, and decided to check out some other crafts; I hand-sewed my first quilt, and I got some scrapbooking supplies from a scrapbooking store. When I got back to NYC, it was easy to find fabric stores, but the closest scrapbooking store was in New Jersey, so I started ordering supplies online. I remember getting 2Pea boxes at my apartment.
I know I participated on the boards, but I think I was pretty sporadic.
I still scrapbook, although now it is pretty much exclusively small travel books.

I started scrapbooking when I was pregnant with my DD in 2000. I had mentioned to a coworker that I couldn't find a baby book I liked and she was like...have you ever considered scrapbooking? I went with her to a CM crop and I loved it. It wasn't long until I ventured into Michaels and Joann's scrapbooking sections because CM had such little product. I found two peas because I had picked up a CK magazine at a craft store. And I was amazed at what some people were doing with scrapbooks. I saw an add for twopeas and I ended up there to shop. I had never seen anything like those message boards. I completely loved the scrapbook board so I could learn about all the different products and techniques. That was sometime around 2003. My original user name was GimmeCandy! It was the politics threads that got me hooked on NSBR. My life went downhill in 2009. And I took a break from the board and scrapbooking. In 2011 I started back up and I had met Jeremy. I couldn't remember my original log in and so I created the username jeremysgirl after an inside joke the two of us have. I've been here ever since. I still scrapbook.
