His lies are so just outrageous. And nobody calls him on them. Anyone who lives in CA knows the price per gallon has not been below $2.50 for years and years. And when he first said the gas per gallon was $7.50 I checked the highest price in CA on Sunday $6.06 at some gas station in Mono County. I asked Google the CA average per gallon price… link2000 NA 1.669 1.754 1.720 1.869 1.856 1.811 1.726 2001 1.646 1.682 1.738 1.837 1.993 1.975 1.817 1.608 1.708 1.592 1.403 1.204 2002 - 1.231 1.319 1.507 1.657 1.617 1.633 1.648 1.637 1.627 1.579 1.624 1.585 2003 - 1.662 1.853 2.150 2.092 1.890 1.809 1.789 1.913 2.068 1.839 1.740 1.681 2004 - 1.722 1.914 2.143 2.185 2.298 2.322 2.233 2.131 2.115 2.376 2.350 2.143 2005 - 2.016 2.163 2.346 2.596 2.520 2.410 2.559 2.721 3.032 2.926 2.570 2.319 2006 - 2.424 2.540 2.624 2.925 3.337 3.260 3.260 3.212 2.937 2.593 2.508 2.587 2007- 2.616 2.713 3.105 3.339 3.485 3.329 3.174 2.948 2.922 3.112 3.394 3.353 2008 - 3.296 3.231 3.609 3.846 4.015 4.531 4.511 4.128 3.842 3.440 2.507 1.871 2009 - 2.051 2.265 2.239 2.377 2.531 2.969 2.920 3.057 3.169 3.062 3.006 2.964 2010 - 3.065 2.993 3.104 3.138 3.136 3.134 3.171 3.186 3.064 3.146 3.205 3.297 2011 - 3.389 3.576 4.002 4.206 4.229 3.965 3.844 3.823 3.971 3.890 3.848 3.648 2012 - 3.747 4.027 4.414 4.292 4.353 4.133 3.821 4.109 4.211 4.458 3.893 3.628 2013 - 2000 NA 1.669 1.754 1.720 1.869 1.856 1.811 1.726 2014 - 3.666 3.726 3.984 4.210 4.220 4.163 4.110 3.961 3.821 3.585 3.234 2.916 2015 - 2.596 2.756 3.388 3.261 3.804 3.596 3.812 3.594 3.175 2.945 2.819 2.776 2016 - 2.823 2.477 2.679 2.822 2.855 2.930 2.911 2.745 2.803 2.862 2.788 2.738 2017 - 2.848 2.946 3.059 3.067 3.101 3.080 3.005 3.073 3.220 3.137 3.294 3.187 2018 - 3.269 3.418 3.476 3.617 3.690 3.673 3.605 3.556 3.588 3.760 3.632 3.368 2019 - 3.232 3.236 3.342 3.894 4.019 3.787 3.668 3.555 3.687 4.116 3.944 3.61 2020 - 3.489 3.447 3.262 2.827 2.771 2.972 3.102 3.156 3.174 3.137 3.115 3.143 2021 - 3.262 3.434 3.781 3.911 4.068 4.182 4.253 4.319 4.310 4.400

FYI, my area of Ca (Inland Empire) was below $2.50 during the pandemic. I think the cheapest was $2.16 or something like that and some areas were under $2.

We (SoCal) dipped under $2.50 around March/April 2020 when everything was shut down and nobody was driving. But, it had not been that low in years and years. Before that, gas was normally in the $3.50-$4 range. We were all shocked at how low it was! Today, I finally saw over $5 for premium.

He lies so much and goes on tv and lies and they just let him.
Now he’s back lying who attacked the Capital on January 6
”Trump: You had some bad people. If you look at what happened at the Capitol you had some bad people who were not patriots at all and they came from other places including Antifa”
He was right about one thing, there were bad people there and they weren’t patriots, they were his supporters!

He was also right about the bare shelves under his watch!!!
Trump touted his own efforts at "supplying our country" during his presidency, despite the fact that there were shortages of toilet paper and other essential goods in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

So, what do people think that Biden is doing that is causing high prices? Because from what I have heard from people who do apparently know about the issue, it is a GLOBAL MARKET issue, not just the US. And that there isn't much Biden or any other world leader can do to make the gas companies reduce costs.

Gas and oil raise their prices so they can keep their shareholders happy. Same with insurance and pharmaceutical companies.

In the town of Gorda, CA gas hit $7.95 a gal for regular back in late October. Don’t know what they’re charging now but it did hit over $7 at least in one CA town.

Of course I had to check it out. It appears Gorda,CA has a history of price gouging.
From Channel 7 ABC News
”GORDA, Calif. (KABC) -- Gas keeps getting more and more expensive, especially in California. But perhaps nowhere is it pricier than the remote central coast community of Gorda.
The town's only gas station is offering regular unleaded for $7.59. Premium is $8
The town has long been known for having some of the highest prices in the country. A sign at the gas station notes the next nearest station is 40 miles away to the north and 12 miles to the south.
Gorda is located along the Big Sur coast, about 40 minutes north of San Simeon.”

Yes, they have been known to price gouge for years, nothing to do with the actual price of gas. In 2008, they were charging $5-$6 www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=91573896In 2019, they were charging $7. kion546.com/news/2019/05/08/sky-high-gas-prices-in-one-monterey-county-town/At one time in 2019, they even charged $11 for a short period.

I saw a sticker similar to that on a pump I was using a couple weeks ago. It said, "I did that." I peeled it off and threw it in the trash. I'm not having that kind of bullshit.

Of course, you realize the same people who believe that Biden is the one who sets the prices for literally everything are the ones who believe tRump is God...
I have to tell you, in the last 3-4 years I have lost a lot of respect for people that *I* thought were smart.

In all seriousness, I’m talking low IQ stupid and beyond selfish.

trump lies… CNN Fact Check.. “Washington (CNN)Former President Donald Trump has been attacking President Joe Biden over this year's increase in gas prices -- and greatly exaggerating the size of that increase. In a Fox News interview that aired on Sunday, Trump said, "Look, when I left, gasoline was $1.87. That was a year ago. And now, it's I guess just hit $7.50 in California, the rest to follow..." In another Fox News interview that aired on Tuesday, Trump claimed the increase was even bigger: "Gas was at -- gasoline, $1.83 or $1.86 when I left, a gallon. And now it's at $7.70 in California, in different places in California, and it's heading that way everywhere." ” Facts First: Both of Trump's claims about gas prices at the time he left office were off by more than 50 cents per gallon. The national average for regular gas on his last day in office, January 20, was $2.393 per gallon, not $1.83, $1.86 or $1.87, according to data provided to CNN by the American Automobile Association. And while there is a remote California station where gas prices have exceeded $7.50 this fall, it's misleading to cite any one station as the figure for "California," as Trump appeared to do on Sunday -- especially because this station has been known for years as one of the most expensive in the country. The average gas price in California was $4.704 on Sunday and $4.705 on Tuesday, according to AAA data. That was the highest average for any state, but it was far from Trump's claims of $7.50 and $7.70. In the interview that aired on Sunday, Trump said that gas was selling for $1.87 both "when I left" and "a year ago." In context, the "a year ago" very much seemed to still be referring to prices at the time he left office, which was actually 10 months ago. But for the record, he would have been incorrect even if he was talking about prices a full year prior to the interview's air date. The national average gas price was $2.113 per gallon on November 21, 2020, according to AAA.”

Taxes on the gasoline here in California seem to be that much, then add in the actual price of gas and profit. I've seen photos of stickers on gas pumps with the current presidents face that claim he caused the high prices.

And when all else fails, they like to chortle about Trump living rent-free inside liberals’ heads. (I dunno, maybe if he and his cult weren’t the greatest threat to American democracy since the Civil War, liberals wouldn’t be so obsessed with him. But that’s just me.)
