I put ours up late so I enjoy them until the end of January usually, or the next long weekend after break.

Normally I’m all about the 12 Days of Christmas and decorations down after Epiphany, maybe leaving trees up with white lights longer through the darkest winter days. But I’m so over it this year I wished it all gone when I got up this morning. Alas it is all still waiting for me so who knows when I’ll feel like getting around to it.

Everything came down yesterday/last night. We watched movies and slowly put things away - the last container made its way to the garage in the rain. I haven't swept up the needles from the fake tree yet but I'm so happy to have the christmas clutter gone. I didn't feel super festive this year and didn't even get the tree decorated until the middle of the month.. I just wanna clean now and have a fresh start for the new year.
The only thing staying up for a while are the cards I received from the 2peas exchange.

When I was single, I always liked to have things down before school started up gain, and would often do it on New Year's Day. Once I got married we usually spent NYD with friends, so it would be whenever I felt like it and had time. Most of the time it was still before I went back to school.
Then when my knees got worse, and I needed help getting things up and down the stairs, it was when I could get the teens next door to help.
Now that I’m alone and retired, it’s whenever I feel like it. And sometimes I do it a room or area at a time, over several days. This year I have a bunch of lit, flocked trees, no ornaments, just the lights, and I might leave those up longer, just because I like them. I put the snowmen/cardinal stuff in the dining room, where I change things for each season.

Usually it is after New Years but this year I did the day after Christmas. I didn't much care about having the decorations up so I was ready to return to normal. Plus it is 70 degrees all week so it hardly feels like Christmas.

I am usually pretty firmly in the new year day camp. But this year I have cleaning ladies and they are coming on Wednesday. So I'm busting my ass right now to put everything away so my house can get a good cleaning.

It varies from year to year. I’m ready for most stuff to be put away I just am not looking forward to the work. I bought a new container snd need to reorganize some things into it. Hoping to be more organized next year. I don’t think it will happen this year but hoping to start downsizing next year a bit.

All down and done. I do the decorations and three trees for work and they have to be taken down on Wednesday and I wanted a day in between. It’s my last time for doing it for work and then I’m done. Next year I want go all out decorating my own house!

The fact that our tradition is to leave them up through the 12 days of Christmas, but that suits me because it is an ordeal to take it all down and put it away. So it works well for me to have the extra time to enjoy what took awhile to put up and time to put it away.
If I had one of those get it all put away by New Years traditions I would be so stressed.

This year I decorated mostly with green and snowy white, so all that stuff will stay up through January. The rest of it will come down around New Year’s Day.

I decorate on Thanksgiving night. I take down and put away on Christmas night. I’m always flabbergasted and impressed when I hear this answer because I’m way too exhausted by Christmas afternoon to ever manage that. We also sometimes don’t have our Christmas until the 26th so I think my family would be mad haha.

The Christmas specific stuff (trees, santa decorations) didn't go UP until Christmas Eve this year (we aim for no earlier than the 4th Sunday of Advent) and will come down at Epiphany. The nativities went up for the first Sunday of Advent and often stay up until Candlemas (Feb 2nd) but some years I put them away sooner.
This is our first year with outdoor lights - they'll come down when DH decides to deal with them - I'll put away the Reindeer crossing sign and the outdoor tree around Epiphany I think

Mine generally go up soon after thanksgiving because we host several parties through December. That means I’m ready to get them down no later than the new year. Seems like a clean slate to me for the start of the year.
This year, they came down today. All packed up and tucked away in their basement storage area!
We are headed to Virginia to celebrate ‘family Christmas’ over the New Years weekend and I didn’t want to come back to all this waiting to be done. Plus the following weekend, I’m traveling to undecorate a friend’s house so I’m glad to have mine behind me!

I love, love, love my decorations this year! I'm taking the tree's and Christmas decor down on Jan. 1st but the greenery, snowy/wintery themed items are staying out a little longer.

I'll probably start getting our decorations put away tomorrow (Tuesday). It's been my years long habit to have everything put away before New Years Day. I like to start the new year fresh but, I must admit, I hate looking at my stripped down, empty-looking, house after enjoying all the beauty and color of Christmas.

When I get around to it. Have took down some stuff already, shelf/sitting pieces. The wall hangers and lighted and twinkling window trees will probably be last to go. Adds a little light to long dark days.

I voted for after Epiphany since that is what we usually do. However, seeing the local weather forecast, there is a fairly good chance of snow/rain mix on Saturday. My Christmas bins are scattered around the garage and I need to get them out of the way so I can put my car in the garage. So I started putting the decorations away tonight and will do more this week.

I normally leave everything up until January 6th or so, especially since I don’t usually get the tree up until the second week of December. The tree may come down earlier than usual, though, as it stopped drinking water a few days ago. It’s dry, dry, dry.

Normally my decor comes down on the 26th but this year I haven't taken a single thing down yet - I know when my decor comes down then its time for my son to go back to Hawaii. We are getting new floors in the whole bottom level of our home though, on Jan 4, so everything will be down by then for sure.

I'll take mine down in April, when I go home. We had Christmas, then I left the next day. TTFN to cold weather.

I just spent the entire afternoon taking down decorations and relabeling all of my tubs. I got one tree down and we have three more to go plus all of the wreaths. They will have to wait. We've had them up since before Thanksgiving, so I was ready for them to be put away.

We've been decorated since before Thanksgiving so we deconstructed yesterday. I always get the after Christmas blues real quick so I love that the decorations are gone. It's cleansing.

I absolutely don't understand taking it down the day after Christmas. Maybe because I only put it up 2 weeks ago. The decorations will stay up until February. They are so pretty and make my so happy. I would be so depressed if they were put away the day after Christmas.

My faith tradition celebrates the Baptism of Christ on January 6th, and I usually take down the tree that evening or the next day.

Considering my orange glass pumpkins are still on the mantle, I'm not one to talk. I never got the tree up this year. 😳
I did put up the outdoor lights on the back deck in early November. The timer is set for 8 hours a night. I'll keep them up as long as I can, and just adjust the timer to shorter lengths as the days get longer.
I kept up the deck lights until July and only took them down because the railing was repainted over the summer.
